Birthday dinner served by very professional Ionut. What’s not to love about Tattu? This time we went early so chose off the smaller menu but it was still excellent (and even better value for money) There really isn’t anything I could criticise this place for. A true treat, amazing food and service, perfect ambience. Seemingly children are allowed in earlier (we booked at 5pm on a Friday) but the crying baby was pacified quickly thankfully! My second visit and we will be back.

Lovely food, super friendly staff. Beautiful decor. To be aware: there is a strict allergies policy so no flowers or bringing your own birthday cakes allowed in the restaurant. Also no kids menu. That being said we really enjoyed our meal and the service was fab.

Mo was an amazing host for us - we felt very welcome, comfortable and informed about the restaurant and menu. The presentation of the food was impressive and majestic, although the use of micro-herbs like red amaranth and edible flowers got a little repetitive as the meal went on as they seem to be on every dish. In terms of flavour for chinese food, some were good, but some dishes fell short of other places. Our favourites were the chicken and truffle siu mai which were absolute flavour bombs, considering they are traditionally pork and / or prawn they blew us away. The steamed whole seabass was very tender and flaked beautifully, but was lacking the ginger flavour that I am very used to in such similar dishes, other than that it was worth the order. The Kung po tofu was still crispy at the table and was a real winner, albeit quite a similar sauce to the angry chicken, it worked very well and the crispy lotus roots added a lot or texture. "Angry" chicken was dry and uninspiring, the cornflour coating had gone soft and mushy leaving a floury mouth feel and the sauce tasted like quite a basic sweet and sour style restaurant dish with a very mild kick, overall substandard especially for the price. The spicy egg noodles tasted good, and a generous portion was served. Definitely enough for 2-3 with main courses to share. Nothing particularly outstanding or special, a decent filler. Peking duck which we had as a starter was just OK at best, if not below average. It was also on the dry side, and felt like, or almost certainly was, deep fried rather than roasted like a real Peking duck, the meat wasn't super tender like it should be, a little chewy, and lacked seasoning. For over £65 for a full "Peking" duck, there are substantially better offerings, especially this close to Digbeth and the Arcadian. Quite disappointed with this one. The cocktails are made very well and tasted fantastic. The service really blew us away. Our host Mo was incredible, and deserves recognition. Worth a visit just for the atmosphere, ambience and service, but true east Asian food fanatics will certainly be disheartened at some of the meal offerings, when dishes at a £25-£40 each price tag fall short of the flavours offered by similar dishes a short walk away for £5-10.

Me and my husband went yesterday for a dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and looks absolutely stunning. The service was very nice. I ordered duck, which I often eat but was a bit raw inside. I like pink meat and I have no problem eating raw meat but this one was too chewy I couldn't eaven cut that. We informed the waiter who thanked us for the opinion and told us to pass it on to the chef.I didn't get anything instead and I didn't eat my dish. We didn't celebrate any occasion and at the end we got a plate with the words congratulations written on it.My husband took me there to make me feel better because we lost our second pregnancy a few weeks ago. And I think this plate was a mistake, it would sound better to say thank you for coming instead congratulations I think prices just for meat are too expensive, for sides you have to pay extra.

I have visited Tattu in Edinburgh multiple times and was satisfied by the service and food quality. However, I can’t vouch for the service provided at Tattu Birmingham especially by the reception team. Upon booking a reservation, we were advised there was a 90minute dining time for customers on a la carte menu (which btw is the most idiotic business idea I have ever heard of. I understand the idea of time limit for bottomless menu or all you can eat buffet but for a la carte? Do you really kick your customers out the door if they went over?!?). I was late to the reservation but my mate arrived within the 15mins grace period but was told they would not seat half a party due to the time limit policy. So my mate was forced to sit in the bar waiting for the next free table because based on their TIME LIMIT policy, we missed our reservation. They continued to refuse seating my mate even when I was around 10 minutes walk away. On arrival, the receptionist had to cheek to say it was for us to have the best Tattu experience. Come on. First of all, it is just Tattu, a normal fancy restaurant serving elevated Chinese foods, there is nothing exquisite about the experience. The chef does not come out to speak to us about how they source the ingredients from the deepest bed of the ocean all of those fluff. Secondly, we ALL have smart phones! We can literally look up the menu on the website or through pictures etc. We are not living in the stone age?!? I am not sure whether the receptionist was messing with us or she seriously had no idea how laughable it sounds in 2024. They finally sat us down. The foods were up to Tattu standards, the waitresses were lovely. We really took our time to enjoy the foods because that was how good they were, and purposely asked them to give us some time to rest before desserts. We managed to stayed for more than 30 minutes beyond the TIME LIMIT, which again proved how ridiculous the idea was. Oh, did i mention that for the first 30 minutes or so after being seated, the table next to us was empty while there were people waiting at the bar? They automatically added a service charge to the bill. The kitchen and the waitress that was serving us deserve all the tips and NONE should go to the reception team. I am not sure whether Tattu as a brand has got themselves carried away or the one in Birmingham has inflated ego due to a lack of competition

My three friends and I decided to try the bottomless brunch but we were sadly disappointed. The portions were odd (three spring rolls and one piece of salmon between two people) and we left still hungry. The cocktails didn’t pack a punch either, we had five each and even with the lack of food all of us were very much sober. We have tried numerous bottomless brunches in Birmingham City Centre, whilst this was the most expensive it was unfortunately the least value for money. I wouldn’t recommend and if I decided to return I’d probably order off the main menu. It was a shame as it was our first time here, but other than the beautiful decor it was an underwhelming experience.

Myself and my family had dinner here on Sunday evening for my birthday and our experience was second to none. Our waiter Adam was so lovely and helpful and was incredibly attentive to anything that we needed. An amazing ending to my birthday. Thankyou so much.

I ate downstairs in the Yin section, which can only be described as lush and a total vibe. I had the pleasure of spending my meal with Gretel, who was just fabulous. She made sure that I wasn’t just ok; she made sure I was welcomed and special. That she brought me a celebratory sparkler and fortune cookie on learning it was my first time in Birmingham was a really extra touch and a great way to end a great meal!

Me and my partner came for dinner for my birthday, food was lovely, cocktails even better! But what topped it off was Matthew our waiter. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was so helpful and accommodating with us asking for halal options. He looked after us incredibly and is on of the reasons we will return!

The setting and atmosphere were both great, the moment you step through the doors you leave birningham and are transported away. The yin was dark and cosy, perfect for dinners and more intimate occasions. Viewing the yang room as we walked down to the yin room I would consider it perfect for a drink and or light lunch. The food compared to alot of places is very good and cooked beautifully however for the amount, I did expect a more revolutionary flavour rather than flavours that can be experienced for a much reduced price.

I loved the vibe of this restaurant, very good for sharing, night out, dinner with friends or a date. We ate tapas style, and the amount of food is more than enough. A mix of the fried rice, dumplings, spring rolls, and cocktails. Not too expensive, I think it's fair pricing.

Second time dining at Tattu. First time I was with a group so didn't really take photos. This food is absolutely delicious every time!!!! Each time we've been lucky enough to get a private booth. The service is perfect! The servicing staff are polite, helpful, friendly. The food is absolutely worth every single penny!!!! The decor is lush. The venue is warm. The toilets are clean. I literally don't have a negative thing to say apart from I wanted to eat more!!!!!

This place was amazing. The service was immaculate and our servers Adam and Matthew were so attentive and friendly. They made us feel really welcome and had a good time. The food was delicious and the design was elegant. I would recommend and the price range for Taste of Tattu was amazing as it wasn’t too much money per person.

Great place, but pricey. Food is excellent I recommend mushroom spring rolls with truffle oil. Wide array of cocktails and a selection of Asian Beers. I Drank a beer in the shape of buddha and a cocktail from a dragons arse, which to be fair is not something I often get to say.

Nico showed us to our table and checked in on us throughout the night making sure our experience was everything we hoped for. There’s a large menu but well explained, we chose to try it tapas style instead of the set menu and our waiter Matthew helped us with our options and did a great job advising how much to order and was very attentive all through our meal. Delicious! Every dish looked like a work of art and tasted even better. But what really made the night was the service. Our server, Adam, was an absolute gem! He was so friendly, super attentive, and made sure everything was spot on. The rest of the staff were just as lovely – everyone was so welcoming and made me feel really special. It was such a perfect way to spend my birthday, and I can’t wait to go back!

This was our first time visiting Tattu and we absolutely loved it. The shared menu was the perfect amount of food for two people and it was all DELICIOUS. On top of that, Adam was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, professional, made sure the dishes were explained and also that we had everything we needed. He came to top up our wine when it was running low, too. Just a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back again for Valentine’s Day!

We celebrated our 2nd anniversary here with my boyfriend and I loved it so much!! The place, staffs, food everything is absolutely perfect 💯 We tried the 3 courses menu and it's definitely worth it. Tasty, great portion. Try skull candy cocktil as well!! Overall its impressive 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Went to tattu for my Birthday 6 months ago for the Friday lunch Menu as table of two with my mother. Unfortunately I can not remember the name of female waitress name was she was 100% excellent. Also was my first time ever going to Tattu and it was sweet and lovely. Shout out and big up too the Tattu Team Will definitely go again in the future

We dined at Tattu for my cousin's birthday. The ambience was really nice and the food was delicious. However, what made the experience amazing was Gretel. She had amazing customer service and listened to our every request. She also ensured to check on us actively during the course of the meal. I would definitely dine again just for her service!

We had a great time at Tattu Birmingham. We were greeted warmly, had a lovely cocktail in the bar then were taken to our table. I had asked for a particular type of table and this was accommodated. Our server was Camill and she was fantastic - friendly and knowledgeable. We had a set menu and the all food was so delicious, but portions a bit too big, so bear this in mind if ordering a set menu. I’d rather a bit less food and lower price. Whatever you choose I’d highly recommend the Angry Bird dish!

Quality restaurant, as out of towners it’s always a little risky trying new places when you don’t know many people who have dined there, however we recently had it recommended to us and were certainly not disappointed, we will definitely be returning and 100%will reccommend
