Happy Chef is the greatest Chinese Takeaway I have had. I ordered Duck fried rice and was greeted with a combination of succulent tender meats. The customer service is amazing and a really friendly environment. It was made very quickly and I was also given free prawn crackers. This place is the best Chinese Takeaway in Torquay.

Specially asked for no prawns in special fried rice and not only did that have prawns in, I ordered sweet and sour CHICKEN and ended up with Chicken, Pork and Prawns (neither of which I eat ) Surely getting an order right should be a basic requirement!

I ordered food online to be delivered and asked to put it in my safe place as i wont be at home and would like it for later. As I have been out I did not take any calls on my mobile. The order was paid for. Apparently the driver could not find me - but my gate was open and he was clearly to see on CCTV. He drove off without having the order placed in my safe place as requested.So i confronted the restaurant with it and i got shouted and insulted by them. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE - AVOID AT ANY CHANCE The thing is if you cant follow a simple delivery instruction and you just drop it in front of the door if can be eaten by seagulls - like I had before with them ! - or it gets taken by someone else - like it did before as they could not be asked to put it in my safe place where no one would see it and it cant be eaten by seagulls. SIMPLE TO DO ? NOT FOR YUMMY HOUSE -

Nice and hot delicious. Never ordered from here before was very nice enjoyed it alot would recommend. Sweet and sour sauce not running and curry bit spicy but still edible 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Would be nice to see a current menu on their website. Placed an order and swift cancelled as £5 more than what it says on their website. Ordered a Peakys instead as better value for money.

Just eaten a takeaway from Alan's takeaway. Very tasty. No issues and compared well with places in Birmingham. Prices were slightly higher than some but definitely not expensive.

Disgusting! Ordered and delivered within 15 mins 🚩🚩🚩 that should have been enough for us in itself. We ordered the large salt and pepper box, chicken chow mein and satay sauce. Salt and pepper boxes were diabolical! Zero flavour, mostly chips! Satay sauce didn’t taste of anything! Chow mein tasted like an ashtray, smelt like it too! Will not be ordering again. Poor excuse for Cantonese cuisine

Disappointing. Duck was tasteless and Singapore noodles weren’t spicy enough and too thin.

They would not answer the phone. I went elsewhere

Ordered a takeaway consisting of several dishes. The standard was excellent as usual. We live close by so were able to collect, so piping hot. Cost was well under £60 and after eating until very full we were able to freeze up a further six meals, brilliant.

Ordered a special fried rice that comes with a small pot of bbq sauce. Not enough Bbq sauce for the amount of rice you get.
