The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Torbay South West

Happy Chef is the greatest Chinese Takeaway I have had. I ordered Duck fried rice and was greeted with a combination of succulent tender meats. The customer service is amazing and a really friendly environment. It was made very quickly and I was also given free prawn crackers. This place is the best Chinese Takeaway in Torquay.

Chip buttie but came separately bread in a bag small chips £4.95 rather pricey I think

Very sad as i have used this place for years and always very good my last 2 out of 3 home deliveries have arrived very late and been very cold and inedible i wont be using them again for some time

Specially asked for no prawns in special fried rice and not only did that have prawns in, I ordered sweet and sour CHICKEN and ended up with Chicken, Pork and Prawns (neither of which I eat ) Surely getting an order right should be a basic requirement!

The food is always fantastic. Always hot & cooked properly. Staff are extremely friendly. In my opinion, the best Chinese in Torquay. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Lovely staff but food is awful!! Firstly forgetting about the other meal and having to go back but as for special curry you get a spoon full of sauce over the meal which was more like gravy and I'm sure it had 6 whole onions in it to balk it out!! The special fried rice was as bad with the brightest pink "sauce" I've ever seen and again only enough to stain the meat!! Whole meal was dry,tasteless and a waste of money!! Never again !!!

Other reviews are full of sh!t, best chinese takeout ive ever had. Everything is very well seasoned and cooked to perfection, never had a bad experience. Bunch of haters.

Staying in Paignton and decided to get a family takeaway from Alan’s. Found a hair in my chow mein. The chow mein had rice noodles, courgettes, baby sweetcorn and a mushroom in it - never had this in a chicken chow mein before. Avoid - not the best.

Disappointing. Duck was tasteless and Singapore noodles weren’t spicy enough and too thin.

Ordered a takeaway consisting of several dishes. The standard was excellent as usual. We live close by so were able to collect, so piping hot. Cost was well under £60 and after eating until very full we were able to freeze up a further six meals, brilliant.
