These food looked that dreadful when open containers honestly nearly threw in the bin. But tried it and yes apsolutly vial the worst food I think ever tasted and I love Chinese food this certainly isn’t Chinese for its shocking haven’t been shut down as can’t imagine what’s happening or going in there food out back

Bargain. Ready in 20 minutes. Exactly as on menu and plenty of food. Meal for 4 excellent value. The special foo yung my autistic son loved. Will use it again

First time going here tonight and got home the food was delicious and tasty the only downside was cash only and no card payments but there is a cooperative down the road. Appearance inside could do with an update but for the food and prices we will definitely be using this Chinese.

Just ordered from here for the first time tonight and all i can say was a huge thank u that was one of the best chinese ive had in a long time ordering was so easy delivery was fast and nice and hot will definitely be ordering again soon

The worst takeaway Chinese ever. Tastless cheap mush. Make sure you have plenty of room in your waste disposal bin if you get a takeaway from here. Better still. Avoid this place

Totally rubish, Tasteless, poorly cooked, not a Chinese flavour in anything, cheap sauces, oil obviously needs changing and chicken balls were so overcooked they were rock hard, spring rolls cheap and empty, all round totally disappointed, only edible thing was boiled rice, never again

Would give a 0 star absolutely awful food since consuming the food I have been feeling sick will never be coming back and definitely wouldn’t reccomend to anyone. THE WORST CHINESE IN THE BAY

Don’t normally order here but my usual Is closed so thought I’d give it a go. They got my takeaway order wrong and some of it was greasy and the fat needs changing! They don’t take cards - it’s cash only - not a major upset but getting the order wrong and serving food that’s greasy as a result of unchanged fat is not good. It takes a lot for me to bother to write a review but I feel compelled here.

This was closest takeaway to our holiday accommodation and we tried them 1st night and was very impressed with quality of food and price so we went back again. The only downside for me being high risk of Covid was staff were not wearing facemasks, but they did have high screens in place to mitigate risk. Cash only, with cash machine just down the road at CO-OP if needed.

I ordered a meal after receiving a menu through the letter box. Big mistake! I arrived and waited 5 mins for the meal to be brought out, when I went to pay by credit card told “sorry we only take cash” After a short drive home the spare ribs were warm rather than hot, the prawn crackers tasted greasy with a strange after taste. The beef in the “beef with bamboo shoot and water chestnuts” was bland, lacking in taste and needed to be re heated. The “ house special fried rice” was anything but special. This meal was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted and would definitely advise this is one to Avoid!

Superb and not stodgy like some

I don't ever order from anywhere else now. This Chinese, in my opinion, is the best in the bay. Such lovely staff and such sweet delivery staff. Good is always delivered on time and still fresh and hot. Would highly recommend

Good service, menu good, price very reasonable however all three of us had a meal last night that affected us for 7hours! The curry sauce looked and tasted rancid! Disgusting meal!

Ordered just after opening time as i thought food would be fresh. Tasted like they had opened a bag of Iceland frozen Chinese. Dried up, tough, canteen quality . Left most of it.

I really have to be pushed to give only one star but I’m afraid this Chinese deserves it. I don’t usually eat from here. My usual two are closed so I thought I’ll give this one a try. There are others open but we settled on this place. The food is terrible. It was congealed which makes me think it’s very old food. I know they put food in the fridge and reuse it which isn’t a bad thing, beats loads of waste but the food we ordered was not good at all. We will not be eating from there again

Travelled round the bay looking for a decent Chinese and went here - Experienced a very polite staff member and the food was great. Glad I went.

Order arrived 15mins before time stated which was great but food lacked any flavour. Mixed meat chow main beef was chewy and chicken and pork could not be called that as no flavour. Pancake rolls are just large spring rolls and chicken balls are watery chicken in batter. The cash only thing was strange but fully understood now as no receipt or way of proving what bought. Will not use again

Wholesome oriental meals well prepared and always on time

This has to be one of the worse Chinese takeaways I have had, and I have had my fair share! We chose 5 different meals and all, without exception were extremely disappointing. Non of the meals had green vegetables, peppers etc you would expect in a Chinese meal. One dish had a couple of pieces of carrot, another had approx a dozen peas and the egg fried rice was lacking egg! It was hard to distinguish the difference in flavours between the different dishes, and they all shared a common theme; salty. Would defiantly not recommended this takeaway and wish we had purchased a couple of the selection boxes from the supermarket which would have been 10 time better than the muck we were presented with.

This is my local place to eat. Very well prices always hot and quick. They could do with increasing their flavours in the food because I have a pallet that needs more stimulation. Having said that I do regularly (weekly) order here.

Food wasn't bad, asked for pancake rolls and got spring rolls instead, when you walk in could do with a new floor and a bit of decorating

We've been visiting the Dragon King for several years now & have always been impressed by the quality. Unfortunately, over the last few months, the chicken has become very chewy & tough to eat. Please go back to the way it was before!!

I have only had curries from Dragon King so I cannot review any other dish of theirs.Their curry is very weak and seems to be diluted down with water and cornflour to thicken it. It actually made me feel sick. It barely tasted of curry. The staff are friendly enough and very polite. I am sorry to say that we will NEVER be using this take away again ~ not even to try other dishes as it could end up as another waste of money. (To the owners. Have a taste of other curries from other take away's and compare yours.)

We have holidayed in Torquay for a week and visited Dragon king three times I rest my case, the staff are really friendly and the food hits the mark every time.

We very rarely have a Chinese takeaway,,but we had some friends around for the evening, they suggested a takeaway. VERY pleased they did arrived quickly, and was HOT . Great service will be back

Only down in Torquay for a few days visiting family. Coming from the West Midlands it is difficult getting a good Chinese as the take away’s are generally Asian (not that this is an issue)

Really happy with our food this evening - came and collected and was ready quickly. We moved to Chelston last year and went to Shun Da and the food was rubbish - haven't had a Chinese since last September because of it - but so glad we tried out Dragon King tonight, couldn't recommend enough, food was really tasty!

This takeaway is near my house. We have had good and bad food there. Tonight was poor! I ordered 1/2 hour ahead. It was produced as soon as I arrived. I will not be using them again the meal was terrible. It lacked flavour, i suspect it was cooked as soon as I ordered and kept for my arrival. The front of house consist of youngsters who appear from under the counter. They are very busy with their technology! Customer service is not high on their agenda.

Multiples meals delivered to us from DK. Always good, never wrong, usually quick to deliver. Have tried several others, but always go back to DK.

Having lived in Auckland where over 30% of the population is Asian we are used to good Chinese food. I have found however that back here in the UK it is often bland and much the same where ever you go. This Take Away is the exception. Food is full of flavour despite the usually very long menu! Currently living in Chelston, Torquay, so this will a regular for us!

Have eaten a variety of Chinese dishes from Dragon King and have not yet been disappointed. Good food and plenty of it...

We have been a few times and the food is always tasty and hot. This takeaway does not take card but their is cash machine at co op . Would recommend giving it a try as staff are always pleasant and food is nice and tasty. It is tucked away on Walnut road but generally plenty of parking and it's on the left half way up Walnut road
