The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Tunbridge Wells South East

Easily the best restaurant in Tunbridge Wells. Friendly Staff, top notch Asian food and service. No complaints. I will defintelly keep returning for their Boa Buns and Beef Brisket Noodles. 😋

Superb takeaway. Large portions and delicious. When down on holiday will come back. Prices are reasonable and pleasant staff.

This is my local Chinese takeaway and I have always used it in the past. The food was always delicious and I had no issue with it. However, they recently stopped taking card payments at all, only cash and I will not use them any more. I don’t mind being charged a slight fee to cover a card payment but I can’t believe anywhere refuses point blank to accept card payments. What modern day business refuses card payments?? It’s a shame, I’m sure they have lost a lot of business because of this move.

I’ve tried all the others and this really is the best in Tunbridge wells! Prawn balls and squid I would highly recommend!

All the food we have had from here has been consistently good in the past few months. Good amount of chicken in curry and other dishes, lovely satay on skewers, chow mein is delicious. Recommended

I had special fried rice, more rice than ingredients, and lack of flavor. Previously, I ordered the sweet and sour pork earlier. It was o.k.

Honestly, really bad Chinese I can't lie

We have been using Top Wok for over 4 years now. The food quality has gone down rapidly. Stodgy Rice, Vegetable Curry with a tiny bit of vegetables, Beansprouts very greasy, Banana Fritters battered for too long and so dry with no sauce at all. We have given you the benefit of the doubt now for too long. Your new management needs sorting out. You have now lost our custom. We will not return.

After many years of using Mister Chef I and the rest of my family will never order from here again due to the lower than 1 star customer service. Food has also being going downhill in quality recently. Tonight we ordered a takeaway, expected time from the call was 1 hour (not a problem for a Saturday night) 1 hour later we called again and were told 30-40 minutes. It was quite evident that the food had not even started to be cooked. 45 minutes later we called again and asked to cancel the order as it had still not arrived. We were told it was being cooked, but by that point we had been lied too several times and were just going to find something in the cupboard. I requested to cancel the order and get a full refund. Phone went quiet so I hung up. Mister Chef then called back and screamed abuse at whoever answered the phone, which wasn't me as by then I was cooking some eggs and toast. Food did turn up 2 hours 5 minutes after ordering, but TBH it will go to waste as by then it was too late. Previously I would have recommended Mister Chef as the food was OK. But with this level of poor customer service I encourage anyone reading this to go somewhere else.

Popped in for a takeaway after a long journey only to be told I can only pay with cash. Even though I have paid before with card. So they have lost a regular customer

We had ordered two lots of prawn balls and they were actually mouldy 🤢🤮 won’t ever be going back there it’s a shame as the people who own it are lovely. Just need to work on food being fresh not mouldy.

Spent £59 on takeaway. Wasn't awful, just bland. Not a cheap place, so very disappointed overall. Owner apologised for late delivery (which seems standard here now) and offered a large bottle of soft drink and some tiny samosas to compensate. Crispy chilli beef had little sauce, Kung po was swimming in sauce. Both tasted the same. Noodles were grim but rice was good. Overall seems Happy Days care more about profit, than an enjoyable customer experience

We have ordered from here on a few occasions purely because it does some decent vegetarian dishes. On each an every occasion the order always takes some time to arrive. This evening we made an order at about 6:20pm, which was set to arrive between 6:45-7:15pm. On ringing up at 7:25pm to find out where our order way, we were advised it was on its way with the driver who had left 20 minutes before. Concerned the food would be well and truly cold by now I asked when it would arrive. Long and short of it, staff were rude, unhelpful and cancelled the order for no reason before saying we could get a refund through just eat. No explanation as to why the order was cancelled other than being repeatedly told they were “too busy”. On asking to speak to the manager (who could be shouting “cancel order” in the background) the staff member refused before hanging up on me for a second time. I would avoid this Chinese at all costs. Staff are rude, ordered delayed, cancelled and if they do arrive, are rarely complete with everything you ordered.
