The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Maidstone South East

Got a great 5 star rating on trip advisor, drove 30 min to order for my family , on arrival told id have to wait an hour , very poor show . Glad they are in a position to turn away new customers to the area . I’ll find another outlet .

Read lots of reviews for a Chinese delivery and decided on Magic Wok. So glad we did as the food was excellent, piping hot and delivered on time. We had given 2 hours notice for the time we requested and it arrived on the nail. Would highly recommend and we also got freebie prawn crackers. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced, what more can you ask for. We shall certainly be using again in the future.

Worst Chinese I have ever been to

BBQ ribs were not bbq, beef chow mein was tough meat and no flavour with the chow mein. Will not go there again

Having used this restaurant several times over the years I found that the service has diminished there’s not much Chinese about the place modern pop music instead of it used to be calm Chinese music and although the price has increased the portions were much smaller we had 6 x fixed menu the crispy duck barely g as be us 2 portions of wraps in fact the duck ran out before the wraps which was usually the other way round there was 6 prawns on the prawn dish 1 each. There was not £30 worth of food per portion.

Been a costumer of this takeaway for more than 12 years as it is close to barracks. The food quality has dropped recently, last time when I ordered salt and pepper spare dry ribs the ribs were not fried properly, and same with the special chowemin, it was not cooked properly. The noodle needs to be fried a bit longer same with the veg and mix meat in the noodle. The lady in the reception is very friendly, upon asking for different items on the menu i was explained very well hence I ordered kungfu chicken on here recommendation.

Your food is truly terrible. It's so funny that the area the thinks your food is good. You would not last q second in London. Your food is disgusting 🫣

Went for an evening meal after a long time without being able to go to a restaurant. Pleased to report we weren't disappointed. We were seated promptly at a table for two and were immediately asked if we would like a drink. The server was very attentive as it wasnt the busiest evening, even though it was a Saturday. The menu itself is very extensive, with set meals as well as a la carte. We opted for a la carte. Our starters were Wonton soup(9/10), Butterfly King Prawns(9/10), salt & pepper squid(10/10) and salt & pepper ribs(7/10). This is due to a bit of "frozen" aftertaste on the ribs. After this our mains arrived, 2 portions of egg fried rice(one is enough for two people), beef in oyster sauce(7/10), again unfortunately a bit of "frozen" aftertaste on the beef but the sauce was delicious and the beef very tender. Also had the XO Squid + Prawns which were amazing(10/10). All in all a very good meal and hope the management will look into my comments on the ribs and beef. My ratings are only deducted for the food not being quite as good as it could have been. Definitely be back.

Worst Chinese in Maidstone portions really small ,no taste just pepper, poor service and really expensive ,now using the magic wok fantastic food not cheap but huge portions and they delivery service is great.

I’ve used for a few years but recently the standard seems to have slipped. Even ordering online means a wait of 30+ mins when collecting with no communication from staff. Hope things pick up again.

Ordered take away for 4 people. All food ordered was good. Order was ready quickly. Would order from here again.

The owner Yang was lovely and very welcoming and it’s very clean, and quick service .

I had rice with chilli chicken and it was very nice, I can't complain about the service but yet again I was the only person ordering at the time. The seating is inside the Mall so no view to the outside but pleasant enough and a very good value for money.
