Yummy in Maidstone

Rang to order a meal for my daughters birthday , put on hold whilst the staff member proceeded to have a chat and catch up with what sounded like her friends !! Ordered from Lenham instead !

We have been reasonably local to Yummy for the past nine years. It that time we've had literally countless meals from this food outlet. Yummy used to be an excellent place to enjoy a good quality take away, sadly over the years the standards have markedly declined, to the point where it became hobson's choice as to the cooking standards and taste of the meal. Our last dinner consisting of three dishes, the one which prompted this review, was shockingly bad, slimy chicken, pork balls which were hard, The beef was also hard, but above all it was just so very bland and tasteless. I'm sorry to say that this will be our last meal at this establishment. Yummy is distinctly un yummy!

Hope the owner takes note of this review We ordered 3 main dishes and all of them where so sweet And gave me a massive sugar rush, Chilli beef was like sweet and sour and swimming in sauce No taste of chilli at all. Sweet and sour pork Cantonese style so sweet not nice Chicken in yellow bean sauce so sweet I have take away from here for many years will not be going back if that is what the food is going to taste like.

I’ve just moved in very local to here. I so wanted to like this place but I’ve had food from here twice and it’s completely tasteless. The staff are lovely but I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning.

Had used Yummy for years as it used to be really good but switched to another outlet a few months ago as food didnt seem so great and they don't accept card payments. As the one I usually use now was closed last night I gave Yummy another try. All I wanted was half a crispy duck. I asked for extra hoi sin sauce as they only give you a tiny amount now and had to pay £1.50 for another tiny amount. The duck was dry and mainly seemed to be bones and skin. There was barely enough meat to fill our pancakes - luckily my husband eats the skin. I don't usually give reviews but felt this time I ought to. Sorry Yummy!

Love the food never had a bad meal or dish, its cash only so bring folding money. They don't deliver to where I am which is a pity or I would use them more.

Great food friendly staff, will visit again . Do not take card so need cash. Food was hot and tasty.

Had a family get-together last week and spent £120 on a variety of dishes from Yummy. The food was ready in 20mins. It was hot and tasty. We all enjoyed the dishes we had ordered - and sampled others! Really pleased this take - away is close to home. The prices - like all other food prices - have risen quite a bit recently and Yummy only take cash.

Ordered a 1/4 duck and chicken chow Mein it is dry as anything it’s like it was cooked yesterday don’t normally order from here but our normal Chinese was closed today

Not bad. Sometimes it's really good - usually the weekend as during the week it feels less fresh. Some dishes are swamped in sauce , others are perfect. Best large spring rolls in town though. If they eased off the sauce it would much better in saying that they are flavoursome. Uber delivery would be nice - they need to thing about that. It is what it is.

enjoy yummys food only thing I wish is that they have a delivery service, bit of a drag having to go out at 6.45ish and collect ourselves on a sat means the wines on hold....

Love this Chinese take away also tasty dishes and great choice.The only downside is that they don't take credit cards

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant to get a take away from. Always lovely food albeit not healthy but ok now and again.

Yay! At last, decent Chinese food in Maidstone. Have struggled to find a remotely decent Chinese takeaway since Jade Garden spiralled into decline. Have now used this place twice, for 2 different orders and it is just delicious. Shame they don't deliver (and only accept cash) but worth the effort to drive there and postpone the wine until we return!

We order from here a lot and tonight we received beef instead of chicken. We rang and informed the lady on the phone who quite frankly couldn’t give a toss and wasn’t even apologetic. They don’t do delivery so couldn’t sort out me having a meal I couldn’t eat, but the very least they could have offered was to refund the cost of the ruined meal on to our account / phone number so we could at least have the money off our next order.

Their food is lovely. Staff are fantastic. Let me off £0.50p I couldn’t cover and it wasn’t a problem at all. Really quick to get the meal ready for you. Just perfect. Thank you guys so much!

Good fresh offerings, reasonable choices, have certain favourites. Soups and chow mein regularly feature. Mix starters good. Frustrating they don't take cards though

Order Egg Fried Rice, Beef and Mushroom, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken Curry and Chips. They were all well presented and tasted great. This was on of the best Chinese meals that we have had for some while.

Have had a take away several times from here but this time the food was not good had chilli beef it was soggy and the chicken curry was taste less.

Had a takeaway for four people. It was quite awful and I will not be revisiting again unless there are drastic changes made to the quality of the food. The various dishes were greasy and tasteless.

Never again. Greasy food. Terrible experience. Used to enjoy their take-aways but the quality has deteriorated.

We used this takeaway whilst staying at a cottage at Leeds castle. We phoned the order through. It took only 15 minutes. It was quite a large order and it was all piping hot and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend this

Never ever had a bad dish here. The food is always hot....a good quality and served with a smile. Fast service as always ready for the time given.

We have used Yummy for a couple of years now and won't go anywhere else for Chinese takeaway. The food is lovely and it is great value for money. They also add freebies depending on the value of your order.TOP TIP - Ring your order through then go and collect it. We do that and our order is always ready for us and is ALWAYS correct.

Every single person that was in the takeaway tonight had their name taken down wrong and our order was short. Avoid this takeaway at all costs.

We have recently moved to the area and Yummy;s was recomended to us.It serves great food, well cooked and large portions.We have had a set menu for two seveal times and there is copious amounts of food for 3 of us.

Great takeaway and menu is so easy to look through and order. Food was hot and great and will be back again. Does get busy so I would phone an order to avoid the wait

I called my order through and then drove down , the chap on the phone told me twenty minutes, but they hadn't cooked it when I arrived thirty minutes later and I had to wait a further twenty mins +. The food was good enough but I really hate bad service like that.

Been getting our takeaways from here for years. Never had a bad meal. Telephone ordering has always been efficient but it is obvious they get very busy on the phone so the call is what it needs to be. They have a loyalty card.

Local Chinese, good size portions but a bit more expensive then some other Chinese takeouts. Would be better if they offered a delivery service. Very quick service though, food usually available to collect within 15-30 minutes.

Telephone manner appaling- curt and surly. No greeting when the phone was answered and no please or thank you during the course of placing my order.Arrived to collect and was told credit or debit cards not accepted- so go to the hole in the wall around the corner! This could have and should have been pointed out during the call whilst placing the order. Businesses that insist on cash only- especially nowadays when things don't cost a few pounds or pennies any more always make me suspicious, and I suspect the Inland Revenue will be as well.Premises very tired and needs smartening up. Staff looked the same to be honest.Food was hot when I got it home, so that's a positive, but was lacking flavour or anything to differentiate it from other generic Chinese takeaways in the area.I won't be rushing back.

This is a standard chinese takeaway near to Maidstone. The food is always of a good standard and the prices are standard also. The place could do with a re-decoration as it looks very 'tired' - I can't comment on the kitchen as I haven't seen it.

It's a Chinese take-away. No more, no less, but a very good one. Reliable fast service, tasty food, at a reasonable price. Never let me down.

The title says it all. Yummy's provide a very good Chinese meal at a decent price as well as offering a loyalty scheme. If we are having a takeaway Yummy is usually first port of call!

We ordered a large selection of dishes and only the chicken balls with curry was nice.Would not recommend.
