I’ve come here multiple times, the food is delicious, fair prices for the large portions, staff is friendly and quick, the best Chinese in Maidstone in my humble opinion :)

BEST CHINESE FOOD TAKEAWAY IN MAIDSTONE- been living in Maidstone for 20 years now had many great memories eating in with family before, maybe the management has changed but the service has always been good even now and i think its still the same chef , overall definitely by far the best compared to many chinese takeaways in maidstone.

Let's start with a positive. The duck starter was good. The chowmein was OK. We had crispy chilli beef (not crispy) prawn spring onion and ginger (yuk) chicken balls (too much batter) which made them full of uncooked batter. Curry sauce (not curry favoured. And really thick you could hold the tub upside down.) Everything was thickened with corn flour, it made the food really gupi when it cooled down. Really sorry for them but I hope they take notice because there are alot of Great Chinese takeaway that are nice.

looking at the good reviews ordered food . Dishes had little sauce and lots of white onions rice was dry and didn’t seemed fried,crispy seaweed too fish never had like this in 25 years ordering chinese food in the Uk

Ist time ordering here, food excellent with some freebies for good measure. We had a mixture of dishes for 4 of us ,thoroughly enjoyed! Delivery man very polite. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered from this take away shop the first time after moving to Maidstone; best ever Chinese food in town!!! Their Salt & Pepper Spare Ribs, Kung Po Chicken and Sweet & Sour HK Chicken are SUPER SUPER TASTY! Staff is so friendly and patient; the food were amazing, quick delivery. Will recommend friends to come and definitely come back again!

Not happy with delivery service, said delivery will be in 40 mins and make me wait for more than 2 hrs.

Have been a customer of this place for years, but its really gone downhill. Just ordered a delivery of four dishes and only one dish was correct! the other three were identical dishes that we just didn't order. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

I made my takeaway order in the restaurant 20.08.22 and collected it and it was so nice . There’s a great menu and I cannot fault it . I look forward to coming in again !! Thank you

We’ve been using this Chinese for the past 15 years or so and always have had nice food but tonight we ordered and the food tasted completely different,not nice at all so much do I called them to be told they’ve changed the chef and staff,such a shame coz now we’ll have to find a different Chinese!

I have been ordering from here for best part of 10 years but Dont get me wrong the food is awesome but service sucks.... this evening I placed an order giving then 2 hours to deliver on time seeing as past 2 was over an hour late and it still turns up over 20 minutes late tbh magic wok makes exceptional food and it turns up on time albeit maybe £1 extra but you don't have to worry what time its coming 9 times out of 10 they call to let you know...... My advice order magic wok and get deliveries and great food on time ladies and gents truly disappointed

I would say food is lovely here but the customer service is poor. We made an order today ,an hour ago when we called them they completely forget our order . It’s really bad service . Unfortunately, this is our second time our order been completely forget. First one was nearly 2 hour.

I don't often share negative reviews but I think this restaurant is deserving of one to ensure that it makes the necessary changes. It was my wife's birthday and I had ordered some food for the family to celebrate. I specifically gave them a hint that it was my wife's birthday, and yet the food sent (the beef in black beans sauce to be specific) had gone off. It smelt disgusting, and we couldn't eat it at all. It ruined our experience and celebration. Furthermore, this wasn't the first time this has happened. A few months ago, the Salt and Pepper spare ribs I ordered with my food had also gone off, but I thought it was a one off then! This is obviously something they do regularly and I hope it changes before someone gets seriously ill. With that said, I ordered some food from there the other day, and it was fine. I don't think I will be ordering from there anymore, and I hope they make the changes needed for all.

One of the worst takeaway shops I have ever seen in Maidstone. I would like to suggest to everyone, do not order foods from this shop. I had ordered food from this takeaway but they made me wait 2 and half hour and when I asked them to discount but they started to argue with me. Their service is disgusting for customers which is not good for customers. I never saw this kind of people so disgusting.

Always get my Chinese takeaway from here. I have not had a bad takeaway from them yet, where as other places I've tried have been hit and miss. Not sat in their restaurant part so not sure what that is like.

Love the food from here but delivery is getting worse we order nearly every weekend tonight we ordered at approx 6.15 pm it's now nearly 8pm and still no sign of the food even after ringing again yes you are busy in lockdown I understand but this is ridiculous now

Had another £40 delivery to my parents tonight in Aylesford and the food was spot on as usual.. Singapore noodles (vermicelli) is absolutely to die for and if you want it a tad spicier you have a 1-5 scale to work with. Beef with chilli & green peppers in black bean sauce 👌, sweet n' sour chicken Hong Kong style 👌, chilli crispy beef 👌 even the larger spring rolls are like the old school. Well done Emily.

We walked around the town whilst dog walking to see which chinese takeaway we fancied. This one looked very clean, so we decided to call in, order food and have it delivered an hour later. We chose crispy seawead, chicken in yellow bean sauce, crispy beef with chillies and singapore rice - all for just under £20. The food was delivered hot, was very tasty and we thought was good value. My partner isn't keen on chinese, but also thought this was excellent. We will be visiting again.

I am a fan of New China Town, food normally tastes great. However, the portion of takeaway is sometimes very small. If the portion is consistent and in the good size I would rate the restaurant 5*****.

Great food good delivery service

This place is much more a takeaway than a restaurant. After climbing a flight of stairs, seating is available albeit just a few tables. This seems like an after-thought. Just as in a takeaway, we paid for our meal before delivery! The food was quite acceptable but no atmosphere at all.

We've been getting our Chinese takeaways from here for several years and they are consistently good quality. The staff are friendly and there has never been any problems with picking up our orders which we phone through beforehand. King Prawns in yellow bean sauce & the crispy aromatic duck pancakes are my favourite. All the food is cooked well and everything tastes freshly made. Looking forward to our next takeaway!

I think the food here is banging. 😊 The beef with chilli & green peppers in black bean sauce (heat level 3) is amazeballs, pork dumplings, chicken foo yung, its all lush and fresh. Never had a bad meal. Five stars.

I've eaten here for near on 15 years. Excellent food, lovely owner. Even pop in for a evening meal sometimes, basic setting but excellent value for money. Less than £20 for 2 people to eat plenty of food!

A rather stripped-back place to eat, but more than adequate for a lunchtime bite and they do takeaway too. The staff are friendly the the food is very good.
