Magic Wok in Maidstone

My family have ordered from magic wok before with no issues until last Saturday night. Upon ordering the website said the food would arrive within 80 minutes which we accepted - it was a Saturday night. After over 80 minutes we called to ask where our food was and we was told it had just left the building. When questioned why their website said 80 minutes the man on the phone was very rude and just kept saying “it’s a Saturday night and it’s busy”. We understand this however you shouldn’t take any more orders than your drivers are able to handle. After another 30 minutes we called as the food still had not arrived. We called again and the man could not have cared less. The food finally arrives at 8:45pm. We were told we were the last stop so we asked to check the temperature of the food before accepting it. We asked the driver what discount they could provide and were told to call the owner. We were once again put through to the rude man who didn’t want to put us through to the owner so the driver called them. Once through to the owner, they offered us £4 discount off after a 2 hour wait and awful customer service. We told the driver to take the food back and will not be ordering from there ever again.

Food was delivered half an hour before I got home. Ordered specifically for 9pm as knew wouldn't be home until then with child but was delivered to wife early and cold by the time got back. In fairness, after awkward conversations was offered replacement as long as could send back original order. Opted for this but felt like was a bit distrusted. Originally offered 20% discount off next order but not really acceptable. Anyway, 1 hour later than planned eventually got a nice meal but the child had a later night than planned. Concerned that if delivery time in notes not adhered to then what about allergies etc?

Read lots of reviews for a Chinese delivery and decided on Magic Wok. So glad we did as the food was excellent, piping hot and delivered on time. We had given 2 hours notice for the time we requested and it arrived on the nail. Would highly recommend and we also got freebie prawn crackers. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced, what more can you ask for. We shall certainly be using again in the future.

Decided to give this place a try as the reviews looked good. It certainly lived up to them! Placed a huge order for delivery for a family celebration. I ordered a couple of hours in advance and requested delivery around 8.00. The delivery driver was pulling up outside at 8.00 on the dot. Was a very big order but nothing was forgotten and everything was hot and delicious. The big spring rolls were particularly good! Whole thing couldn't have been better and will definitely be back!

Had a delivered family meal everything was perfect the meal was on time a d piping hot best Chinese meal I've had for a long while

Shocking service! New to the area read good reviews about the food, unfortunately my business wasn't important to them as a new customer. Was given 1 hrs 40 mins delivery time, rang after 2 hours no show and was told would be another 45 mins to hour or have my money back! Accepted it was busy and had ordered early but this is terrible. They now expect at 9pm to go elsewhere or let children eat at gone 10pm. Good food or not I won't be using again.

I popped into this takeaway on recommendation of my son and loved the food, great flavours, well cooked and not greasy, which I always find with our local Chinese takeaway...Thank you
