The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Fylde North West

During a recent stay in St Anne's my husband and I ate here, we have eaten here before but a few years ago and I thought it wasn't as good. We had the set meal at £34 pp the soup was nice and mixed starters but the main meals were a bit disappointing and not very tasty and the rice was very bland. Won't be returning

Read the reviews before trying this place and decided to try after reading a few. Sorry to say it was not good at all. Chicken balls were mainly soft batter, sweet and sour sauce was hard to spot. Chicken curry was the same, hardly any sauce. Chips were really overdone and hard.I didn't have long to wait before the order was done, seems that's due to pre cooked chicken cubes which were used in both dishes and re fried chips. Disappointed on all counts with this place.

We came back to 88 as the first time we visited was August for a birthday, and it was excellent. We were seated down at a table and asked what drinks we would like, then the server brought us our drinks and the menu. We had a look through the menu for the £13.99 special for Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday. It was on the back, when the server arrived we started to tell him what we would like, he then said " oh I'm sorry, we are unable to do the special menu until after new year. He told us he would do something similar to the special, when we asked would the price be the same he said we would be charged the full price for whatever we wanted, we decided to leave the food as the special was the only reason for our visit. We went to the bar and my partner told the server that he should have informed us that we couldn't have the special as it was off the menu for the time being as soon as we walked in before taking our order for drinks. I was charged £6 for drinks, and we didn't eat there. The server was at front of house taking all the flack for not having the special menu on, but was it was still advertised in the window and on line, while the owners were in the kitchen not answering to their customers. Needless to say, we will NOT be going back there again, and I would not recommend this Chinese to anyone. They have clearly misled customers and are not willing to even give you a complimentary drink for not informing you when you go in that you can't have the special menu. To say it was disappointing is an understatement, the poor server took all the comments while the owners were in the kitchen away from and disgruntled customers. Had to wipe my feet on the way out as the carpet is that dirty your feet stick to it.

I don't like to write a bad review but ordered a munchy box and it was horrible and a waste of money. Full of sugar would not recommend sorry.

I dont know if there is new management but I have been ordering from East Ocean over a 25 year period and have been really happy with the food. But tonight, it was the worst Chinese food I have ever had: My sweet n sour pork was dried, congealed pieces of what? The fried rice was congealed. The special chow mein was edible until a fair coloured hair was found in the dish. After 25 years I will not be returning.

Nice food. The menu on here is an old menu apparently. My order on the phone was £4.30 more. I challenged the price, you have been looking at the old menu. That old blag eh. Happy New Year. Ya won't be seeing me again.

Ordered duck rolls which were really tasty, piping hot and crispy I also had the mixed chow mein in sauce. Delicious. Lots of meat with king prawns. Will definitely use again.

Very expensive for average food . £9 for a chow mien ,more vegetables than meat & £5.50 for salt & pepper chips out pricing themselves.

We ordered, sweet and sour chicken, special fried rice, chips and pancake rolls. Excellent food and very friendly service. Well be our go to Chinese takeaway in lytham St Anne's.
