Visited here on the last night of our trip after researching on Trip Advisor and so glad we went, despite our holiday accommodation recommending another one in the town. The restaurant itself is so nice, and plenty space between tables. Staff were also so attentive and friendly. The food though was just amazing, could not fault a thing. Was the nicest Chinese meal we've had in a long long time. Would highly recommend and definitely return when we're back down that way. I would advise to phone and book to guarantee a table.

I have been meaning to try this restaurant for ages and I wasn’t disappointed. Food was excellent having been brought up on Chinese food as Dad was Chinese I really enjoyed the food and good portions . Staff were all lovely will definitely be back x

Service was good, food was just ok. Tiny prawns which still had the black spine of waste in them. Hot and sour soup pretty tasteless as were the skewered prawns. Too much MSG, spent most of the night drinking water. Unfortunately won't be revisiting this restaurant.

Well what an oasis this place is! My wife and I went, drawn by the hundreds of positive reviews. It's run by two hard working, friendly and funny sisters. The food was bang on, truly, we loved it all. Two starters, two mains, stir fried noodles, egg friend rice and six beers all for £60. We hadn't booked and were lucky to get a table at all, we were on the last available one, right by the door. However, when one of the sisters took our order, she said there was a table coming free near the windows, and a bigger table too. What a nice touch, soon we were installed in our new table chomping away on salt and spicey ribs with some siu mai. We were over for the music festival and we'll be back - shame it's a year away!

Booked into here last evening after reading reviews and have to say, everything was excellent, service was very good, but the food was really really excellent, not had better. Would recommend.

Visited for Father’s Day meal with my grown up children and their partners and from the arrival the service by Po Ying was so warm and friendly, she explained about the dishes and was lovely to serve us . The food was excellent and we had brilliant home made desserts. The baileys cheesecake was exceptional . I highly recommend this place

Set in St Annes where there's plenty of parking. Restaurant is up flight of stairs. Extensive menu and good prices. Good was lovely and generous portions. Service was super friendly from a young lady. The only thing which spoilt it for us (and for most of restaurant) was that there was a children's 8th party there. There were 2 women there who were the epitome of 3rd rate 10 bob millionaires. Very loudly, they were clearly having a game of who could get one up on the other. Whatever one said, the other had done better, been to better hotels, fancier restaurants, faster cars, "oh darling, I've been to L.A. and Dubai". Yawn yawn yawn.Everyone could hear it and were rolling their eyes Apart from that it was fantastic and will be back soon

Family members recommended this place, saying that they came every time they ventured back to the area. And it lived up to it - food was superb, staff were friendly and helpful. It was the best Chinese eating experience I've had in the UK.

Lovely Chinese restaurant once you get up the stairs as they’re very steep,(went with my parents in their mid 80s)but once up everything is absolutely perfect, Friendly staff, relaxed zen atmosphere,the restaurant was beautifully decorated and spotless, and the food was delicious.

The Best Chinese Restaurant in the area keeping it simple and delicious each dish was made with fresh vegetables and fresh Meat and with care. Staff are lovely we chatted about Chinese new year and Hong Kong. Definitely recommend!

Perfect service, the food was wonderful, and the restaurant itself was inviting. Visited here for dinner on a Tuesday evening in February. We had the 2nd set menu which was plenty of food for two, and some left over. We had a large bottle of sparkling mineral water, and coffee (which was also excellent) and it came to something like just over £30 pp. I’ll definitely go back to try the dumplings next time. Note the restaurant is upstairs, above Tesco. The door is just to the right of Tesco. Well worth a visit.

We were very happy with our meal here. Food was nice enough, service was good and the bill was reasonable. It's not the best meal that we have ever had but still worthy of 5 stars and can recommend.

We always use this restaurant when over in St. Anne’s and as usual it did not disappoint! First class service, The staff are superb and very courteous! The food is the best you can get! All in all another visit and another amazing meal and experience.

Couldn't get through on the phone to book, so walked over to enquire. No table available until 9pm but Mrs Lou Shang was so lovely and apologised for the wait. They knew mum had dementia and talked to her which was lovely. Been before and will do again.

The food is absolutely beautiful. The Salted and Spices Wings were lovely. Service and willingness to accommodate was fabulous. I totally enjoyed our visit and will certainly come back again.

Just had an amazing 👏 banquet feast for 2..awesome..food delish 😋..we'll presented..staff lovely 😍..portions big..great quality produce..deffo best Chinese in the flyde..you just gotta give it a whirl..only downside..if you have difficulty with stairs..its not for you as its on the first floor and stairs are quite steep..if you enjoy Chinese this is the place to go..thankyou..try the homemade apple crumble..had it tonight even though we were stuffed..wow..enogh said..10/10..thanku

We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was spotless. The food was excellent especially the crispy duck and pancakes and Char Sui with satay sauce. Highly recommended

We accidentally walked past the entrance at first and had to double back. The door is right next to the entrance to the Tesco. We ordered veggie noodles in satay sauce, chicken chow mein with crispy noodles and salted spicy chips. The chips were absolutely the best thing I had all holiday! Not too spicy. Interesting flavours. Well cooked chicken. Plenty of vegetables! We were seated upstairs near the window and so got a great view of the high street. Everyone that waited on us was very polite and they asked more than once how our meal was. The staff were very friendly! We were so stuffed at the end that we couldn’t manage a dessert, although the desserts sounded fantastic. At the end of the meal we each got a fortune cookie with a little message inside. Very reasonable price! They have a cool little water feature at the top of the stairs that spits out dry ice smoke. There’s a sign on it that says “do not touch” so obviously everyone that goes past it wants to reach out and play with it. I resisted.

Tasty Chinese food especially the vegetables in satay sauce, the fried noodles and spiced chips. The restaurant was lovely and the staff very friendly.

Visited with family whilst on a spa break in St Anne's. Didn't book but restaurant was able to accommodate us as it was a week night. Actual restaurant is above Tesco Extra with a doorway to gain access. Good service and very nice food. No draft beers which is unusual for a restaurant. Would recommend.

Me and my family have been coming to Lou Chang for many many years. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants around and worth a visit!

We attended Lou Shang for what feels like the hundredth time. We love it here. My dad had been unable to leave the house for medical reasons for over a year and we knew this was the first place we wanted to take him out for a meal now that he could. The steps at the entrance make it not very friendly for those with mobility issues but if you can make it up the stairs it is worth it. Everyone really enjoyed their food. We always get the salt and pepper wings as a starter. My Dad loved his sizzling Cantonese style fillet steak. We always enjoy the duck. My Dad felt very spoilt, we had a feast and really enjoyed it.

All of the food the 3 of us ordered was full of flavour and texture, and hot in temperature. One of my dislikes is luke warm food! The staff were polite and attentive, but not in your face. I saw one of them close a blind because they observed the sun was in a diners eyes. There is a fairly long staircase up to the restaurant, (no lift), but my 87 Yr old mother in law managed it. No doubt spurred on by the delicious aroma!

Visited here last night on the recommendation of a family member and wasn’t disappointed. This is some of the best Cantonese food I’ve had in a restaurant. Excellent starters, perfect mains and some dreamy desserts. Ambience, amazing staff and beautiful restaurant. When we visit again we will be back

Me and my son went for our first of many meals (I’m sure) here tonight after reading the reviews, and the reviews say exactly how it is. What a lovely clean and delicious restaurant it was…my son said it was the best Chinese food he has ever had and he’s usually a fussy eater and I most certainly enjoyed it myself. Looking forward to next time :)

Absolutely first class, from being greeted and shown to our table to ordering and most importantly receiving the food ordered, I cannot fault this place at all. So very friendly so polite the range of dishes were fantastic the food was out of this world its a case of Gordon Ramsey, move over. Michelin star absolutely and if we lived nearer to this restaurant we would frequent this establish on a weekly basis. Can't recommend this restaurant enough...

This is a superb restaurant. The meals are wonderful and staff are lovely. Prawns in chilli are wonderful and the desserts are exquisite - especially the baileys cheesecake.

Great tasting Chinese food, popular with locals as the staff were calling customers by their names so obviously a good sign that they keep comming back. We had chicken and sweetcorn soup and sweet and sour chicken with rice. Very nice.

Had the banquet for two food was delicious and plenty of it staff were very friendly only I have to complain about is you have to climb some very steep stairs adding a stair lifts would help for more people to gain access
