Lucky House in Fylde

Staying at donkey Creek we decided to treat family to something nice as reviews looked good, well what can I say it all went in the bin my partner got steak fillet in sauce OMG it was like dog food that definitely wasn't steak soft slimy stuff. Won't tons had nothing inside them, the BBQ spare ribs just tasted like cinnamon. Such a disappointment this was not cheap what we paid either.

We we’re staying a Donkey creek campsite and decided to have a takeaway so glad we did it was excellent high praise from us as we love Chinese food it was nice to see dim sum and char Sui bao on the menu we’ve already decided to come back to the campsite just to go back to lucky house . 5star H&H rating too x

Went here for a chicken curry and fried rice. It was absolutely delicious. One gripe is that the portion size was, well, 'modest'. It wasn't expensive but another pound or two to be full would be fine

Now that things are sort of returning to normal, decided on an evening in The Coach & Horses followed by a takeaway... We sauntered over to The Lucky House at around 10pm. After gazing at the vast menu my better half noticed a sign on the wall stating 'cash only'. We confirmed this with the guy serving. Who takes cash only these days????? We decided to visit the cash point & return and low & behold, when we returned 20 mins later they'd closed??? What? 10.20pm on a Saturday night?? Unbelievable!! The red mist arose, bearing in mind I'm on a walking stick and can't walk too well. Can't comment on the food as we didn't get that far but won't be visiting again. What a farcical way to run a business!!!

Telephoned our order through and collected within 30 minutes. Very tasty, I loved the salt n pepper chips and crispy chilli beef and everyone else enjoyed theirs. Not one bit left

Opted for two different soups and duck with pancakes and plum sauce. Excellent food with very good prices. Only concern is that Tripadvisor and Google say they take Apple Pay but they are only taking cash these day so go prepared.

ordered salt and pepper ribs and was served deep fried fat! no meat on the ribs just fat when i rang i was told to bring back when i did i was met with no apology or offer of another meal avoid !!!

I'm not sure why I haven't tried this place before but I've now been twice in the last 10 days and the food was absolutely lovely on both occasions. (Special chow mein and chicken curry and fried rice.) I'm surprised at the previous comments about portion sizes as both my meals were very substantial (and I'm a big eater). I thought it was really good and I'll certainly be back (regularly).

Had a takeaway last night, always get it from a Lucky House but very disappointed by the portion sizes ! Much smaller than our last one by far !! A couple of the dishes looked 1/2 as small as usual, not sure why ?

Best Chinese Takeaway by far, small portions no delivery but really delicious food. We have tried quite a few takeaways in the area and this takeaway is by far the best!

Good value and well cooked! Telephone service was excellent and the food was well priced and offered a good variety menu.

Really good hot and sour soup! Excellent fried rice dishes. Beautiful Roast char siu dishes - never been disappointed.

The new owners have really changed this place for the better. Top quality Chinese food. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

With the demise of the Pearl effectively just over the road we gave this take-away a go and boy were we pleased. Fantastically popular especially at weekend but with an absolutely massive choice of meals - all seemingly cooked to perfection. Polite, cheerful, efficient staff and fabulously cooked authentic Chinese food. It's now our de facto location to visit every Saturday evening .... and sometimes more often - never been disappointed !!

Excellent service with a great range of dishes. The staff are very polite and the food is cooked very well. The menu also contains all allergy information and they are very accommodating if you have a special request. Big portions and delicious.

Always super food, which staff (chris) will ensure meets your tastes, just ask for tweaks if needed. Excellent service, a good portion, and super clean standards.

Its the best Chinese takeout locally. The meals aren't too sweet and sticky and there are a number of very nice Thai curries on their menu.
