Ansdell Fisherie in Fylde

If ever we fancy a bag of chips we always go to Ansdell Fysheries. Absolutely tasty and delish chips. The chips are always hot. Lots of salt and vinegar ( by request) too. The owners are friendly too. We are vegetarian so no fish , chicken or other non vegetarian food reviews.

Ordered salt and pepper chicken and chips and chicken noodles through Just Eat. Food arrived late and it was disgusting. Chips were soaked in oil with few pieces of chopped chicken schnitzel, all covered with fried onion and tone of oil. The other dish-noodles were dry with same chopped chicken schnitzel on the top. The only good thing was curry sauce. Never again, waste of money as it landed in a bin.

Amazing bubble tea. I like the boba balls. So chewy and delicious. I will for sure come back again. I also had sausage and chips which was always good.

I live locally & cannot recommend their food highly enough. Sometimes I wait .great! The food is freshly cooked. A real treat!

We went to Lytham St Anne’s for an hour and asked in a shop was there a good chippy nearby, the ladies in the shop recommended here in unison so it kind was made up. We were greeted very politely and asked for our order. We had 2 fish, chips and peas in a tray and ate them by the sea front. The chips were lovely and not greasy, the batter on the fish was so light it was like tempura batter. Very nice dish and chips and not dripping with oil.

Waited over 10 minutes for a portion of chips. 4 members of staff serving 2 people in the shop at tea time and they weren't actually that great.

My wife and I have been trying every fish and chip restaurant on the Fylde. I recommend that you pre book your f&c here, as it can mean a 20min plus wait if you don't. Chips are brilliant 8 out of ten. fish 6 out of ten very thin batter and slightly wet. Curry sauce good and peas are nice. Barm nicely buttered and fresh. Not expensive but ok.

used to be really good back in the day but has gone right off in my opinion. Gone are the days when they were queuing out of the door and no wonder. Lacklustre food served by uncaring staff. very poor chips which is a bad sign for a chippy.

After recommendation, tried the Chicken Curry, Fried rice and chips deal (with drink) offer just over a fiver. Tasted lovely, and just right. The munch box for £18 does look amazing and we are going to try that next.

Great portion size that satisfied 3 hungry adults! Has a good selection of my favourite salt and pepper dishes all in one box - perfect! Super tasty and flavoursome, not one bit of food was left. Really friendly staff giving great service. Will definitely be coming back to buy another soon

Never fails to impress. Chinese meals always fresh and fast. Fish and chips always cooked to perfection. Would recommend solely based on the sheer amount of dish options.

I went for a chippy tea. Ordered fish and chips. Was told they’d run out of fish. So I ordered a sausage instead. Waited 15 minutes and then told they’d run out of chips. That’s right ... a chippy with no chips! But was told I could still have my sausage! Apparently they were going on holiday. Rather than potentially wasting a few potatoes they’d rather lose a long serving customer. Seniors in Lytham however sold me fish and chips which were delicious.

After being told it was lovely food we thought it would be . Unfortunately food bland and tasteless. Dissapointing as the three fishes which I believed is Owned by same person is excellent.

Just round the corner from my family, so I go here on every visit and I’m always impressed. Good quality fish, great chips and prompt service

I am awaiting a response from the manager who has agreed to a refund I WILL GIVE HIM THE WEEKEND TO PAY AMOUNT BACK

I ordered a chicken curry from here and curry sauce was a bit tasteless and very spicy. The fried rice was good and the portion sizes were adequate, but the curry sauce just let the meal down,

I have got to give credit where it is due the best tasting fish and chips I've had in a long time keep it up

Home delivery of salt & pepper ribs, beef curry, fried rice, special chow mein. Delicious! Ribs: meaty, meltingly tender, and nicely spiced. Beef curry: lean and tender beef in a thick, spicy sauce. Fried rice: every grain separate. Special Chow Mein: full of char siu pork, chicken, beef, king prawns, vegetables, noodles and bean sprouts. Each dish packed full of quality ingredients and generous portions. So much so we ate only half and had the rest the next day. Can't fault Ansdell Fisherie for a quality, tasty Chinese takeway.

I went in here to take a picture of the menu for my nan and the waiter gave me a menu which we were both impressed about, so we decided to call for it and it came within the time and it was good priced for what was very nice food.

I went here directly after picking up my daughter from the nearby school.

The last two occasions the chips were warmed up and dry. There fish size have been reduced and it is doubtful we will return. If we did, it would be for the "Chinese" menu items .

Hemos estado aquí varias veces y siempre conseguir una buena comida. Nunca tuvimos ningún problema de inconsistencia - obtienes lo que esperas. Buena empanada crujiente y patatas fritas. Un poco negativo es las patatas fritas son un poco seca, para mí. Me gusta algo de grasa con patatas fritas "fish and chips". Sonidos extraños, pero podrás entender cuando se tienen. Guisantes y salsa necesitas algo más no es el más sabroso. Granero no es mi favorito, tartas un poco seco. Sin embargo, a los niños les encanta los nuggets y salchichas. El personal es rápido y amistoso y el lugar siempre está lleno, así que la gente que me encanta. Sin duda merece la pena una visita.

Best chips and fresh fish for miles around. Great friendly service from a family run business. Highly recommended this chippy.

Alrways a favourite take away on a Saturday night. Never been disappointed yet. Good quick service,good value for money and delicious food.

Not been for a while but decided to treat the boys to a chippy tea to cheer them up in this dark dreary and wet weather- surprisingly was most disappointed with the small portions and the overcooked chips and stale barms - not the high standard we've had previously when visiting here we couldn't even finish our meals it was that unappealing and tasteless. Not returning any time soon and couldn't recommend to others!

Como un "fish and chips", es fantástico. Como un chino, es pobre. Mi pareja celebró su carne crujiente, ya que ella no desmenuzada estaba interesado en la salsa. El arroz estaba muy zapallo y la salsa curry era insípida.

No hay mucho que escribir sobre el pescado y patatas fritas. Pero frescas y una buena parte bien vale la pena y mejor que la mayoría de por aquí

Primera visita ayer - no sé por qué esperamos tanto. Nuestra comida china estaba recién hecho y absolutamente deliciosa. Lo mejor de limón pollo que he comido y gambas arroz frito. Excelente relación calidad-precio.

8 of us popped in on a weekday afternoon and enjoyed fresh, hot chips. Service was quick and friendly, the place seems to be run very efficiently. The fish was highly praised by those who chose it. The cost was great too. It's a shame there are no seats.

This is the only place we use for fish and chips, the staff are efficient and friendly and the service is fast. Whether we call in or have the food delivered it ias always good.

I placed an order midweek for delivery to my hotel. I ordered sreak pudding, chips, peas and double gravy for 7 pm. Delivery arrived promptly at 7 . Food was hot and tasty and a bargain at only £6 including delivery. Will definitely order again.

This is our local "chippy" and it's a good one - we never go anywhere else now. Great to take home or eat on Lytham Green with a glass of wine or picnic at Fairhaven Lake!

Get our fish and chips here all the time. The batter is always crisp and not greasy.The fish are large and always cooked to perfection. You can even have a loyalty card and your 6th fish is free. The chips portion sizes are large too. They serve Chinese food also, although we haven't tried it yet. But everything we have had so far has been excellent.

We live locally, and have tried most others in the area, and this is the best. We usually get a mix of Chinese and some standard chip shop food. Both are always excellent. Highly recommended!

The service is first class.All the superb food is not to be missed.If anyone goes to Ansdell Fisheries for fish and chips or Chinese dishes they are in for a superb treat. I rang the order through and 15 minutes later it came. Very hot and we'll wrapped. No salt or vinegar on the fish which makes it go soggy in the paper. Lovely

I live in Lytham, with it's 3 well established Fish & Chip shops, so you may wonder why I'd be venturing over to Ansdell instead? Well, I personally am fed up with the over priced average food being churned out in the Lytham fish and chip shops. Do we really need 4 different sizes of fish, with silly prices to match?I love how refreshing it is to see a Fish and Chip shop like Ansdell Fisherie offer simply one size of Cod! And what a good size it is, not to mention how delicious and well cooked! It's also the price of a medium sized Cod at one of the well known Lytham Fish and Chip shops - whose extra large portion just about comes close in size, but not in price. The chips at Ansdell Fisherie are also very nice, cooked just the way we like, and very good value! No stingy cartons here - just good old paper and big scoops of chips! Inside everything is very modern, exceptionally clean, and very well presented. Coming from Liverpool originally, we are very used to seeing chip shops offer Chinese food as well. So now having sampled their Chinese, I can say it's extremely good! Definitely on a par with the more expensive Chinese restaurants in Lytham, but at a far better price. Trust me... if you don't mind driving a few minutes further out of Lytham - you simply must choose Ansdell Fisherie for your fish and chips, or even a Chinese take away! And if you don't want to drive, I hear they also deliver - so what are you waiting for?!!!

Satnav offered this chippy, walked up from the lake to find it. Lovely cod and chips, had a short wait for it to be cooked. Well worth it. Friendly and helpful staff.

Love this chippy!! Lightly battered haddock and chips is delicious. At weekends we often have steak pud, peas, gravy and chips delivered. Very quick delivery and very tasty meal.

Trying to pull of fish n chips alongside a Chinese inevitably fails.It means you get heavy floury batter on your fish, and everything on the chinese menu seems to come with batter on.Surely focussing on one would mean better quality overall.On a plus side, they deliver, but overall, I'd rather go further into Lytham for both cuisines.

I like the fact he can get fish and chips and I can have a Chinese. both of which are great and long may it continue. lovely people working in ti too. I frequently go in for an order of 20 - 25 meals for all the residents where we live and it is never any trouble. They even deliver and it always comes fresh and hot. I can order in advance as well.

this local takeaway has a good selection of Oriental/Asian and traditional Fish & Chip food. I regularly go there at least twice monthly, or more, and so does most of the local community, as it's often a lengthy wait unless you've phoned ahead! The counter service staff are always friendly and courteous, sometimes giving my small daughter a chip or colouring book to keep her busy whilst we wait for our tea!

Following a long journey yesterday, we decided to have a takeaway from Ansdell Fisheries close by. I really fancied some comfort food, so opted for Steak pudding & peas. What a mistake! The steak pudding was stone cold & the mushy 'peas' resembled what can only be described as pea gravy! This was just thrown away, as completely inedible. My husband had haddock which was definitely not up to standard. Definitely won't be visiting there again.

Best local fish and chips we've had so far! Been many times and will continue to come get our fish & chips fix :)

I'm from Lytham and i come all the way here to have fish and chips. Friends recommend me to try it out and it's better than the ones in Lytham itself. ( 3 fish & chips in lytham ) i think that says enough. Good price and always fresh fish. i come again...
