It's a great shame that such delicious food is served in such dilapidated surroundings and by staff who struggled to raise a smile. We were hoping to find a nice local venue for Chinese food, but Cheng's isn't it.

Without a shadow of a doubt the best Chinese takeaway in the area, and maybe that I have ever had. Every single order has been a bit, never a miss. When you call it can be hard to get through, especially on a weekend but stick with it and keep hitting redail it's worth it! Staff are very friendly, accommodating any requests, no this, no that, add this etc. Food is unbeatable. I go once or twice a week and never get bored of it. salt and chilli pepper stuff is on the spicier side which is perfect for me. Noodles never soggy always full of flavour and it's amazing to say but so many Chinese takeaway get fried rice wrong but the fried rice here is addictive!! Would never go anywhere else.

food was unreal best chinese i have had its my first time ordering from here an it wont be the last 😁 mixed meat chilli & garlic was lovely, curry sauce was unreal aswell a different flavour than any other ive had

Really disappointed. Food was awful.

This is not my first time to My Shanghai, but it is the first time I have been in about a decade. The food was great, no complaints there at all. We had a reservation for the start of dinner service and the table we sat at was in the far corner next to the window. The window was open and felt a bit drafty. The server did offer to close it but there was evidence of a condensation problem as there was mould up the walls and around the windows so we didn't want to have it closed for this reason and didn't think it would be too bad. Boy were we wrong. We should've asked for it to be closed as our food went cold very quickly. As our meal went on, we did also think it was odd that they sat a reservation table in the corner by an open window at the beginning of dinner service when it wasn't too busy. The mould on the walls was also a tad bit odd putting as it did look like it had been cleaned previously, but not recently. Again, everything else was great just the atmosphere could be definitely improved with addressing the condensation issue and cleaning the mould.

Sweet and sour chicken balls were practically burnt. Chicken in fried rice was like rubber. Accidentally ordered a wrong option so I called thinking it was a wrong item, I understood as soon as she explained but she just kept repeating herself whilst talking to someone in the background, she was so RUDE!!! Completely overpriced too. What a shame with this being one of our usual favourites. Definitely won't be returning. Ruined our new years eve meal.
