The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North East

Order a takeaway but had to collect itmyself due to a lack of a delivery driver. Wish i hadnt bothered, as food was overcooked and disgusting. Items missed off the order also. Used this place over many years but will NEVER set foot in it again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, there are much better places around. Gives Blyth a bad name.

Just been to lutus Express for Chinese takeaway and I got salt and pepper chicken with no peppers and it was very tasty my son had the old favourite of chicken fried rice and curry sauce and he made sort work of his food . I don't often get Chinese food, so this did make a pleasant change. Top tip: If you don't like peas in your rice, let them know beforehand .

Really lovely place and friendly staff I’ve come up from Cheshire and both nights here I’ve had food from here :) go home tomorrow and can’t wait to be back up again and to come here❤️

best Chinese takeaway in the area. have tried salt and pepper dishes from a few places but always find Jaks is the best.

Wouldn't even be 1 star if up to me , food absolutely rank , cold , and spilt all over the place , added mushrooms to the curry we ordered when we didn't ask nor did it say on the menu , my wife is allergic to them , we phoned and asked for a replacement to be met by a very aggressive manager who said he would not replace the meal , spoke to us absolute crap , avoid avoid avoid , have also just heard this place had a rat infestation!!! Will never order from here again

Asked for plain crispy beef for my autistic son. Refused point blank to do it. Has to come with sauce. Awful customer service. Used this place for years on and off as I live close by. I won’t be going back. Loads better options, try the ramen house opposite, the dumpling house on Brentwood Avenue. Dabbawal,

Very disappointed to place an order and to have it accepted but .... after coming back to see why my order was late, I found out that it had been cancelled! No explanation! I placed an early order but was very disappointed. I won't be going back again!

Pretty good food, prices are decent and the portion size is great, service is fast and they deliver.

I previously left a 5 star rating, but due to recent service, I'm changing it. I've have made several telephone orders for delivery and had the staff member read back the order. Each time my order gets delivered, there's something missing. It's always a bag of chips or a curry sauce or a portion of rice. This is happening far too often. I have complained about it but get the usual apology. A couple of my friends have said they have noticed this also. I personally think that this is far too coincidental as its always the same thing that's getting missed out. If this takeaway does this often, they're clicking £££s on each customer. My other complaint is that they only accept cash payments. Definitely a fiddle going on. They also don't have a website or app to place an order. I won't be using them again.

My dad came here every other week for food before he passed away , was his favourite Chinese place in shields, me and my partner now come here amazing quailty fresh food 5 stars

Order was late. When arrived prawn crackers were very thick and tasted stale. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and couldn’t eat it . Very gristly and horrible , very chewy and acidic . Would not recommend , waste of money sadly.
