How hard is it to have curry sauce and chips as a dish?

The food is usually good and reasonably priced compared to other Chinese takeaways, but this time the food came quite late and I found hair in my udon, quite disappointed, probably won't get food from here anymore.

I ordered egg foo yung,chips,sweet/sour sauce, chicken chow mein it was beautiful and tasty, will be ordering again later

That worst Chinese food we got a takeaway delivery which was an hour later than stated that wasn’t the best but the staff where helpful when I rang every dish that came was terrible special fried rice was the only thing eatable at £25 for the order as well CHOOSE ANOTHER AVOID THIS PLACE !

Ordered the special curry and beef curry and boiled rice the curry sauce was way to thick and the rice was no better

Absolutely disgusting My partner went to pick up my order when he said l hadn't ordered what he gave him they just told him no thats what we do when phoned as also not only given wrong order chips missing also told me would credit me for chips go away what a bad experience will not be using again avoid this place service disgraceful!!!

Chicken fried rice - very nice Chicken in black bean sauce - fantastic and loads of sliced chicken breast. Chips - very nice Good menu choice of meals including Thai and Malaysian. Will definitely use this takeaway again. One of the better takeaways in Boro

AVOID - I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant. Ordered via the Just Eat app. Estimated delivery time was 7:15pm, food did not arrive until 8:30pm. Selected for a refund through the app as no update and received a call from the restaurant to discuss further, explained to them that had been waiting an exceptionally long time with no update on when the food would be arriving, manager stated food would be here within 10 minutes to which it was a further 40 minutes. The only good experience was the quality of the food and politeness of the delivery driver.

Best Chinese we have had and we have Chinese all over Europe we ordered for coulby newham which is quite far came nice and warm on time and friendly driver will 100% be ordering every time from here we’ll done guys keep it up

Avoid! Absolutely disgusting Cold Late Wrong order Curry could be used as concrete Chicken and sweetcorn soup was like sugar in cold water Not nice never again

This used to be the best Chinese in Boro but the standards have went down the toilet. Got a steak that was more fat than meat, the gravy was like water and the chips were like plastic.

Perfect Chinese takeaway. We can even customise the food. Good quantity and high quality. Should try you guys

They do dim sum which is hard to get in Middlesbrough. Unfortunately the chicken curry is not very nice. Staff are helpful

Had a £5 voucher, only wanted an item worth £4.20 and the person serving me gave me a drink so I didn't lose out on the voucher! Will be returning.

Chips were dry duck was tough when I lived in Middlesbrough years ago this place was amazing but like everything else it's changed but not for the best.

We used to live nearby and our food would arrive within 5 minutes! Now we've moved to the outskirts of town the wait is a little longer, but only 40 minutes last night :-) Our food arrived boiling hot too - good job! This takeaway isn't cheap, but comparatively priced I think (we order through JustEat now) and we always enjoy our food. The salt & pepper chicken wings had less chilli this time, so I enjoyed them even more than usual :-) We always pay the £1.50 extra to get fried noodles with our food because they are just soooo tasty! 2 main meals with fried noodles + portion of chips + 1 starter came to £26 with delivery & fees etc. Whenever we get a craving for a chinese takeaway we will be ordering from here again!

Only Chinese Takeaway worth ordering from in Middlesbrough. Used them every other week for over 5 Years with no issues. Always properly cooked, good portions, decent prices and judging from the how quickly the food arrives, the delivery drivers are former getaway drivers or retired F1.

I used to live seconds from here as a student and love chinese, so here's been a guilty pleasure for a long time. The standard has slipped a lot over the last few years though, and despite me giving them chance after chance out of fond memories, they've disappointed every time. Tonight was their last chance, food was 40min late, and cold on arrival. Then the replacement which I collected had 3incorrect items on there and parts of it were cold again. Massive shame

ordered the hong kong style sweet and sour chicken. Most of the tub was just a load of vegetables nobody asked for. If I wanted veg I wouldn't be ordering Chinese. It's just a cheap way to serve smaller portions. Nothing on the menu suggested this is how it would come. Also the spring rolls are the worst I've tasted in my life. I hate leaving bad reviews for restaurants but it was just extremely disappointing

Me and my family decided to buy a chinese tonight and found royal china. We received our food on time which was the best thing about the whole meal. However, we spent £23 for us all to eat £0 of it as it all ended up in the bin, we found a blonde hair in one of the meals when none of us are blonde hairs! The curry sauce cartons were half empty when arrived as there was a hole in every carton ending up with one of us burning our hands when not realising it had a hole in. This meal ended up with my little sister crying as she wanted her chinese and it had a hair in and she burnt herself, binned every single item of food and will not be ordering from here again.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. Don't be put off by how the place looks from outside. Very very nice food. Had Sweet and Sour chicken, special chowmein(absolutely lovely) and sesame prawn toast. Worth every penny.

Absolutely rubbish after an hour of waiting they only delivered one meal. More care needs to be taken it's clearly stated on the receipt what we ordered. Not very helpful. Wanted full refund.

Rarely had a bad meal from Royal China think I was disappointed once and that was only because I didn’t like the taste of the dish and not an issue with the quality, Purely because I like to try different items on the menu. Great Food and Great service. The crispy aromatic duck is my favourite and highly recommended dish as it is full of duck pieces not just little scraps of bits. Lemon chicken is also fantastic. Highly recommend this place as the service of the team inside the take away is brilliant too. Thank you.

Even though we've moved out of town to Nunthorpe, we still order from Royal China (they deliver for a small charge via JustEat). The wait is a little longer - not the 5 minutes it used to be when we lived closer! lol But we enjoy the food just as much, some 8+ years later. The food is reasonably priced as the portions are large. If we order a starter, then we always have enough left over from our meals for lunch the next day too. The fried noodles are delicious and well worth the extra cost!

I orederd a box with salt n pepper chips chicken and ribs in. It arrived on time but on opening the box it was all just normal chips chicken and ribs not 1 bit of salt n pepper anywhere. The food was nice enough so just settled for the unsalt n peppered food lol was really looking forward to it though 😕

Just had a delivery which was very good it was early. The food on the other hand was disgusting. The chips weren't cooked, chicken balls were rock hard. Beef chow mein was raw, the egg friend rice had plastic inside of it. N the curry was green. Not happy with it at all. The food has all gone in the bin was a complete waste of money.

Really bad experience, waited 2 hrs for delivery then when my food got here it was inedible chicken was real chewy, chips were disgusting and the chicken balls were one of the worse I’ve tasted. First and last time I’m ordering from here

Friendly service and lots of tasty food, cooked in just 10 minutes for collection. A large selection of 193 dishes (at the time of writing the review), even when discounting the Main Course meals. Main Course further adds to the amount of choice, with 26 sauces/recipes/cooking styles to be made with a choice of 12 meat options (312 possible Main Course combinations at the time of writing this review). Unlike most chinese stores of this type, Main Course dishes can also come with rice or noodles for 30p to £1.50 extra. Quantity was large too. One noodle tub was enough to fill 2 plates. Main Course sauce and meat fills a similar sized tub. Definitely pleased with good: +Phone to counter service +Menu choice +Food flavour and texture (Crispy meat menu items in sauce is sticky on the outside, but this reviewer enjoyed theirs) +Quantity of food in each menu item +Cooking speed for collection (Can't vouch for delivery) It's not on the resturant filled Linthorpe road, but you can be assured wih the quality of food. (2 delivery options: Direct from them, or by Just Eat. Direct delivery is in fact £1.50)

I live in NYC, I'm spoiled on Chinese food options, but whenever I'm back in Boro, I have to hit this place up. It's so good for that "taste of home". Great takeout food, lovely owners.

One of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had! We had the wontons, the mini spring rolls, crispy aromatic duck, crispy chicken in black bean (asked for with no chillis), sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken satay skewers and egg fried rice. Really good value for money (plus the do a student discount for collection). The food was tasty, well cook and have obviously been cooked fresh. The portion sizes were a good size and they were very quick. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning :)

Ordered from these for my tea cannot get an order right sent my sweet and sour out with out no egg fried rice rang up and said it would be 45 mins before could get rice out to me said would refund 80 p fie egg fried rice yet my full meal cost 6.80 and was wasted no point having the sweet and sour with out rice kinda defeats the object wont be using again

Delivery time was 18.55 but at 19.15 it still hadn’t arrived so we rang and we’re told they were very busy & hadn’t had time to change the delivery time. It arrived at 19.22 and we were charged 50p more than the price on just eat.

Excellent quality food, exactly what I ordered and was all eaten which is rare in our house after a chinese.

Usually, I'm loyal to my favourite takeaways; tonight my partner and I both decided to try something new. We were not disappointed at all; not only for the excellent quality of the food or the fact that it arrived about 15 minutes after ordering (perfect for us as we are caring for our newborn and we were starving). The delivery driver rounded off the whole package with his friendly, upbeat and positive attitude, 10* service. If you haven't tried Royal China, get ordering and share in the joy.

Food was lovely however we ordered a side of curry and it didn't arrive.

Food was nice. Only thing I would say is that I didn’t order prawn crackers and spring rolls as it said because I spent over a certain amount I got them free. An when my delivery come I had neither. :(

Think this’ll be my new favourite Chinese! Just moved to the area. The food arrived slightly earlier than expected which was a bonus. Food was the right temperature, the spring rolls were lush and not greasy which some takeaways do, and I really enjoyed my king prawn chow mein, had some nice fresh veggies in it and decent sized prawns. Thanks - will definitely order again!

I assume that my food was delivered to the wrong house (it is hard to find). I called up and they remade and redilivered my food without any issues. Food was delicious, large portions and definitely high quality. I would definitely recommend.

Concerning at how I ordered it and it came 10-15 minutes later, everyone likes fast food but when it came the salt and pepper chicken was not edible, Rick hard it was, their was big balls of rice stuck together not fried and the curry was really thick I tried to share it between me and my partner and the whole lot fell out in a blob. Never again £17 odd wasted. However delivery driver was lovely.

Sat waiting for food that takes 15 mins to cook (I know I've made it myself) nearly 2 hours in and still waiting for food.......Just rang driver has left just left the shop....... Food has turned up at least it was okay and they read my note about sauce.

Ordered via Just Eat for collection. When I'm trying a new takeaway I always order house special curry as a yardstick. Prawn crackers were very good but the curry was disappointing. The sauce was quite bland, too thick and floury. There were too many mushrooms and not enough meat. £9.10 was also too expensive. Wouldn't recommend.

Never ever disappoints! Always taste exactly the same every time and is delicious! We get vermacilli noodles and chefs special crispy beef and it’s the best we’ve ever had!

Was canny nice. siu mai and har gow would be better if they weren't just bought in from the Chinese Supermarket on Linthorpe Road. Szechuan sauce was reet tasty.

Food was okay. Chow main noodles weren't as fresh or hot as they could have been. And I was disappointed to find that my prawn crackers which I actually added to my order for an extra £1.80 didn't even turn up. Not the best service I've had from here. Not happy.
