New Golden Palace in Northumberland

Tried 4 times 4 different meals. No more it's really bad. Give the kids credit they try to lift the place. There is worse than here though.

Been going to Golden plaice for years, but this year have noticed a decline in the food, so have been going less went last night prices have increased again and the burger was so thin and like cardboard and very little cheese, while I was waiting for my order they where getting other orders wrong, same staff as always and not any busy then normal for time of day, won't be going back

Pathetic food. Order wings with salt and pepper and chicken chow mein. Both the dishes were inedible. So so so much salt. Everything went into the bin. Hate wasting food but this was absolutely horrible. Service was decent.

The food was absolutely disgusting the rice tasted like it was re cooked very dry and the chips were definitely re cooked they were rock hard. Salt and pepper chips it was like they re cooked normal chips they had made and put a bit of salt and pepper on it and re cooked they were awful I would not recommend this chinese if you want good food go to golden flower chinese in ashington never had a bad meal there.

Over here for a few days stay and opted for a Chinese takeaway from here. So glad we did, really tasty, generous portions and nice and hot. It was qued out the door, when we got there, which is a good sign. Staff were really nice.

Best Chinese I have ever had and the service was absolutely unbelievable! I will never have a better Chinese in my life and it was like a Michelin star meal! This Chinese should win an award

Very good authentic Chinese food with good portions. Obviously it is a takeaway so don't think the 5 starts means gourmet, it means this is in the top echelons of Takeaway dining. Well priced food, as most main meals come with rice or chips for an extra increment.

It must be the worst Chinese I have had .the beef was full of fat no meat . I had to spit all of it out we couldn't eat the beef ?????? The chow main smelt like s--- couldn't eat it rice was nice tho lol

Beef didn't taste like beef, chowmien tasted old not fresh at all, will not be ordering again.

Usually the food here is good but this time the chips were very dry and some overcooked and the egg foo yung tasted burnt

On Saturday night 26th March at 6pm we ordered a Chinese meal as we're visiting mam in ashington. It took 2 hours 15 minutes for delivery. And food was lukewarm as if it had been sitting in vehicle for two hours. Won't ever order from these again despite mam saying they are fantastic. £23 is a lot to pay for lukewarm food. Spoke to takeaway and all we got is food on way.

Never again will we be ordering from this place again our food come, nice and hot I give the driver 27 pound and he come back saying I only give him a tenner I know how much I give him as I am not blind he is a compulsive lier

Wouldn't order from anywhere else. The Munchie Box is amazing and is more than enough for two people. Always arrives hot, fresh and very very tasty and well within quoted time. Delicious

Ordered for first time never ever again waited an hour and a half for awful half of it cold half of it over cooked dry as a bone soggy batter on unrecognizable items will definitely not be ordering again waste of money

Ordered a chicken curry tonight. Totally enjoyed it. Would of preferred more onions in my dish. But that's just personal preference. The favours were there. Thankyou. Good to have a English speaking delivery man also. Well done.!!!

Discussing! I bought a munchie box from here last week and the service as shocking as the food! You could tell by the dark batters of the spring rolls and curry parcels that they had been cooked in manky oil, ate the littlest bit and had to throw the whole thing away and spent 2 days losing my bowels down the toilet 🙃 There are plenty more options near by but please avoid this one!

Ordered delivery for 810pm and still waiting at 940pm. Told twice it was on the way. Still not turned up

This is the best Chinese around! I haven’t had a bad meal from here yet and been going for years. The portions are always big and always delicious!

The food was good and the portion was generous. The food quality was worth 5 stars actually. However the waiting area was scary, given I was waiting for food. Dirty and Scruffy and the back area of the staff counter just the same. Please give yourselves a full makeover for the places your customers can see. But full marks for your food.

Long established Chinese takeaway which is small/simple but nice. I recommend the Peking crispy chicken....delicious!

Never had a bad meal from this place the salt and chilli chips are fantastic as is the house satay. The meal for 1 deal is real good value, it feeds the 3 of us easily. Delivery always been spot on, they say if they are busy so I normally collect if it is

Chicken batter was burned outside sloppy in side and house special chow mein was very dry and no taste and had no onions or peppers in chips were very dry and cold never go back bad cook

Just had the worst meal ever. The bin is well fed and I'm eating biscuits now! To say it was beef I was trying to eat is an insult. Could be sick at the thought of it. I will never order from this place again!

Quick to order and collect and the portions are huge and I mean huge. I order from here when very hungry. Nice staff and a free bag of prawn crackers with every collection.

Proper quality people had great bants with the lass at the counter. Kushty food got what I wanted.

Shite! Asked how long coz I was on night shift & was told 45mins ...... An hour and a half maybe plus later I rang but before I could speak was shouted at that it was on its way .... Cancelled .... Would rather starve & save my £15 .... First and last order for sure 🙀

I havnt ordered from this chinese for a while but thought would give it a try as it used to be nice. Won Ton Soup and seaweed was nice but rest of the meal disgusting. my partner wasnt hungrey so just ordered chips and curry sauce, the sauce was very thick and didnt taste nice, I ordered beef chow mein, which was all stuck together and dry, the meat was fatty and slimy!! it was that bad i rang to complain and was told that they "would send me a free can of pop when i ordered again" which really doesnt make up for a £5.30 chow mein. I will not order from this chinese ever again, I advise you to stay clear (golden flower or you welcome much better) i threw the meal away.

Excellent choices of food and good portions. Really tasty and really helpful staff good delivery times and very reasonable prices.

This was our regular for some months till my friend had a hair in her meal and mine was nothing resembling what it was supposed to be. After phoning and complaining we got the money back for the meal with the hair in and a can of pop!! Complete joke

Arguably the best Chinese in Ashington. The food is always spot on. The set meal for 1 (b1) easily feeds me, the wife and all 3 kids for £12.50 plus a bag of chips.

Use this takeaway quite often. The food is great and plenty of it. Great flavours good service, highly recommend this to anyone. Have tried others in the town but none of them match the Golden Palace
