Tried to order a meal on website but it kept buffering and saying awaiting confirmation from restaurant. I rang them and was told they do not use that website anymore and was asked to place order directly with them. They then asked me for bank details. When I explained that I had already paid via website they said it would not be taken from my account so I paid over the phone. My online banking now shows 2 transactions for the same meal which I have to say was mediocre at best £23.50 in total was not acceptable for the meal I received I presume I am not the only person to be caught out like this

Nerer had so much crap deliverd, food was freezing cold and so dry. Rang and asked takeaway to come back and collect. Waited 40 mins. Woman on phone was sooooo rude, told me suggest u dont order again as this is how we do out food. Did she think for one minute id order that rubbish againagain. NO THANK YOU. AVOID

Don't recommend the bloomin curry sauce because it never comes. 2 stars because I don't believe in negativity but you gotta do bloomin better. It's becoming a bloomin problem. Oh yeah the noodles taste like schnitzel.

I wish I could give them minus stars. Absolutely gross. £15.50 for that! Only fit for the bin. When you ring up to complain they can only apologise. Chicken is rubbery and the lemon sauce is like cif 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Food was awful, all went in the bin

Ordered a takeaway from here for 1st time it came 30mins late driver was polite so tipped him... Opened food hardly any meat compared to our normal Chinese...never ordered prawn crackers as normally after spending £33.50 on a meal we would expect a little complimentary bag like we do at our normal Chinese so food with no prawn crackers 😡 will not be ordering from here again

Food was very disgusting, ordered 3 tubs of chips and gravy could see the chips and the tube was fully of thick black gravy. Chicken chow main was disgusting won't be coming back again.

Ordered from here whilst visiting. Delivery was prompt, food was hot, portion sizes were huge and the food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely order next time we visit.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in Ashington. We don't go anywhere else. Always delivered on time, piping hot and very tasty.

Beef and fried rice is nice. Prawn crackers on repeated time have been like chewing through plastic been left for days if not weeks and charged full price for. Partners rice hard tonight i dont normally leave reviews but the prawn crackers forced me tonight. Christ man just give oot fresher prawn crackers

Delivery was on time. Curry and sweet and sour dishes were nice. But the supposedly sirloin steak was flattened beyond recognition and very sub standard to what has been delivered in the past. It was chewy and the portion size was considerable smaller. Very disappointing.

Alway enjoy my food from here. Last night I had a chicken curry. It was delicious. Very tasty, onions cooked like I prefer them, not to soft. 😋. The meal was delivered very quickly. And included was a couple of fortune cookies. A lovely touch I thought.....Another review on 12 Jan 2023 ordered chop suey rolls. Delicious. Along with chicken in Kung po sauce. Something I've never had, just fancied something different. Wasn't disappointed. 😊 The sauce is between spicy and sweet and sour. But without the redness. With added peppers, onions and what looks like cashew nuts. All ingredients worked well together to my surprise. In fact this is now going to become my favourites meal. Love it. 🤗 Happy girl

First we ordered on website and waited for half an hour before getting a text to say they'd cancelled it. Then called the shop to order and waited nearly 2 hours for food to arrive! (No communicatuin from resturant, we called them 3 times and kept being told it'll be with us soon) We asked for some money off for having to wait so long and they said no so we turned them away :( from these reviews the food was probably horrible or wrong anyway.

We placed an order at 1738 on their website/app. This was replied to by text at 1755 stating the order had been cancelled. We called up and they told us the machine that takes the order wasn't turned on hence the cancellation. We then placed our order over the phone at 1815 which cost more then over their app. At 1915 we called to ask why it was taking so long - their reply 'it is being made right now and will be the next delivery'. We called again at 1945 - their response 'we are sending it our right now and will be with you soon'. We tried to call again at 2000 but they didn't answer. They knocked at the door a few minutes later. We asked if they could take some money off for being so late and they said we would have to call. Seen as they didn't answer just minutes before we turned it away. Probs a good job as well as after that we saw all the poor reviews below.

Been waiting 2 and a half hours for a delivery that's was supposed to be here within the hour

I normally adore this place and order from it all the time but tonight's food from them was awful. The food was so stale they clearly gave me yesterday's left overs which they reheated to the point the chips were rock solid and the meat was incredibly chewy. Spring rolls were almost black. Food tasted really strange and horrible.

Delivery arrived prompt, Few minutes early! We had duck to start it was beautiful, Duck was cripsy, vegetables where fresh and crunchy and pancakes where lovely and warm. Sadly the main was disappointing! Chowmein was like one huge pile of gloup all soggy and had no taste, The curry was unbelievably hot it was unpleasant to eat The chunks of onion where unreal, The chips had been over fried they where dark in colour and hollow inside. Really dissapointed safe to say we won't order again as its just been binned.

Used to love the food from here but haven't been back in a while as its just not the same anymore last couple curry's I tried tasted so much like cinnamon they made me sick. The portions are massive yes but whats the point if there not tasty.

Dont waste your money. Worst food ever. I ordered chow mein which had no flavour and prawns clearly cooked from frozen. Chicken wings had horrible burnt taste. All went in the nin. .. waste of nearly £13

Ordered at 1900pm informed would be delivered at 2050pm rang them at 2110pm which was 20 minutes late to be told still not ready to be delivered next I receive a text message to say the takeaway has cancelled my order......

I would never order from here again, food arrived 50min late despite the restaurant telling me delivery was on its way half hour ago. Poor service and when it arrived it was just warm, getting cold.

First time trying and had amazing customer service, staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was ready on time and was really tasty! Given the current circumstances with covid-19 I was very impressed. Will deffo be ordering my chinese from Tiger Oriental from now on :)

To my absolute delight yous reopened after so long without such amazing Chinese delicacy as yours, I was so happy and my chow mein was the worst let down in my many years of let downs. And I’ve had many years of let downs. Please get your A game back. Ashington needs you

Worst I have had the curry was disgusting

I can highly recommend this take-away, the choice of food dishes is amazing and the food delightful too, there is the choice of ordering the food through just eat or popping into the shop. the staff are always friendly and very helpful too

Food good but waited 1hr and 50 minutes for delivery no apology from delivery driver just thrust food in at the door and left.

Used many a time and always enjoyed but for some reason tonight's was 40 min late and rice was dry as was the spare ribs. Hope its just a one off🙄🙄

Don't let the old reviews let the place down, we grabbed a Chinese here late at night a few days ago and lemmie tell you, you can do far worse than the tiger. Tasted great, especially the duck spring rolls, and the portions were huge! We ordered a set meal each a few extra sides and a chow mein to share. Usually in town this is more than sufficient for two of us, however from the tiger it was too much! We ended up having the rest for lunch the next day. Definitely value for money. The only real downside is that they precook the meats and add them to the sauce of your choice, meaning at 10pm the chicken we had was a bit on the dry side. Overall though, we will definitely be back!

Used this Chinese twice in the last 2 weeks and have to say I wished I'd found this earlier, my usual Chinese was closed the night that I had family around so by chance tried for the first time and we couldn't believe how good it was. Fantastic quality, massive portions, chunky pieces of chicken and jumbo king prawns, amazing fried rice. Easy ordering especially if it's done on line. Would certainly recommend.

Turned up late! Tasted rubbish! There is a reason this place has a low minimum order. They must have a business that reflects their returning customers. If you are after chips, rice or a curry you will do ok. Anything that resembles a Chinese go elsewhere.

Watery black bean sauce. Plain noodles had carrot in, not exactly plain then are they. Everything was so salty I couldn't eat it.

Roast Duck Fried Rice, normally when I’ve ordered duck from other take aways the meat has been poor quality and the skin has been soggy. This duck was spot on! Not only was the breast lay out on top of rice, the duck meat was throughout the rice too (as other places can be stingey with the meat) very nice I would recommend I had satay sauce it was lovely 😊

Awful. Don't order from here. Basic food, basic ingredients. Chef hasn't got a clue. Please please go somewhere else. If you don't listen, you will be disappointed.

Waited an hour and 20 mins for it to come the communication from the takeaway was shocking been told it was on its way after an hour then having to phone up 20 mins later to be told the same thing I only live not even 4 mins away then been told I would be phoned back with an update am still waiting on that call... the delivery guy just laughed i explained my son had fell asleep waiting on his chicken I was raging by this point the order was wrong VERY WRONG!! And half the food was cold now I normally have lovely things to say about this place but never again now

I have been several times to this Chinese since it opened . And all I can say is that it is lovely. The portions are huge and well worth the money you pay.

I don't get a take away often & really wish I hadn't bothered. We waited almost two hours for our food to arrive (called up once to query this). When it finally arrived it hadn't been worth the wait. Food was 'ok' ..two cans of coke were also missing from our order. First time trying Tiger Oriental, more than likely won't use again. I do understand that weekends are busy, but still..

I ordered crispy chicken with Peking sauce and my friend ordered beef with blackbean sauce, both of the meals were disgusting, I don't understand how anybody can give a good reviews for that place, chefs don't know how to cook food and I bet the owner is Chinese, typical Ashington Chinese where the food is disgusting, if anybody has ever tried good Chinese food couldn't possibly rate this food from there good! They don't know what crispy means, chicken was raw, soggy butter around, sauce sucked into chicken, just disgusting, vegetables not cooked pretty much at all, my friend beef was also raw, everything is made quick with no effort, absolutely disgusting!
