I have been having Chinese from this take away for years!! Best Chinese I have had!!! I have 6 fussy children and they all find something of the menu...your needs are well catered for, if you ask to have a change to your dish they will always accommodate. Portions are large, price is excellent and service is fantastic!! If you collect you Dave 10%, which is a great saving. Have no negatives about this takeaway...have missed them during the lockdown!

We visited early evening on a Tuesday night. It’s a nice family run and owned business. The service was friendly and excellent. We ordered some honey roast pork on boiled rice, ho fun noodles with beef in black bean sauce and some crispy salt and chilli squid. All the dishes were superb. What a find. Highly recommend and we will be back in a heart beat. Well done Wings.

Something not quite right here. The main course, sizzling mixed meats (i chose chilli black bean sauce with it) was tasteless. No chillies, only two thin slices of green pepper. Portion small but adequate for me after my oysters starter. A bowl of rice is £5-£6, too expensive. Wine at £7 a glass is also too expensive and i cant drink a whole £28/£35 bottle alone. No music, so poor atmosphere, listening to four men on an adjacent table for two hours. I don't like the compulsory 10% tip added to the bill which was £60 for one person. Expensive.

This was our go to Chinese when we lived in Shoeburyness. After a number of bad experiences with the Seaview, we decided to try Wok King again. We were not disappointed!! Forgot how good it was! Great food, speedy delivery, hot tasty food and actually not too expensive! Would highly recommend! If they accepted card payment, it would’ve ben a perfect score!

Ordered here a few times never had any problems and always great food until last night.... So we pre ordered our food as it was mother's day expecting to be busy with that in mind we did have an item not turn up/missing but they did send it straight away. Literally 1 minute before the driver returned with our missing item I was enjoying my meal and tucked into my last chicken ball, instantly I knew something was wrong it wasn't chicken it was a king prawn ball. I am allergic to prawns and suffer from anaphylactic allergic reaction. I immediately spat it out and rinsed my mouth I was ok thankfully but dinner was ruined and tainted. We phoned up and explained what happened they offered free food next order but there was no way this was happening. We went to the shop in person to ask why this had happened to be met with conflict and excuses. Passing the blame to a chef who wasn't even there, questioned about the prawn even though we had it in hand to show them. The owners had no remorse to what happened and offered £5 to compensate. What a joke. Until I said do you not care they gave us £20 to walk away. It's clearly obvious they are cooking chicken and prawn together with cross contamination at play. If you suffer from allergies or other dietary requirements be aware ordering food from here.

Best Chinese Takeaway in Southend City and beyond. They are retiring soon now and will be greatly missed.

wWell, cant believe im writing this but sadly HO'S is ,after 3 more attempts , going from bad to worse . Food came out bland and cold , everyone in our group did not eat half what they were given all saying it wasnt nice . Two of our group ate none at all and opted to go back out and get a kebab instead it was that bad. Sadly thats our last try at HO'S . I believe they are closing down anyway so.....

Ordered a takeaway after browsing their extensive vegan menu. Food was ready in half an hour for collection. Everything was piping hot. Food was delicious 10/10 best Chinese meal I’ve had since being a vegan. We had mushroom chow mein, vegetable chow mein, crispy chilli vegan ‘beef’, sweet and sour vegan ‘prawns’, mock duck and pancakes, seaweed, vegan ‘chicken’ satay, spring rolls, vegan ‘chicken’ balls and curry sauce, garlic tofu and broccoli, banana fritters and vegan fried rice. We loved everything except the tofu in the garlic sauce the tofu was a bit watery but the broccoli in the same sauce was delicious. Would recommend highly! Upon collecting it was confirmed without even asking that it was all vegan! Thanks Fortune Garden
