Closed. Remove from your website. Tried to get food a few times this year but it clearly isnt open this year so remove it from your website! Ignore when did you go because it wouldnt let me leave it blank.

This was our go to Chinese when we lived in Shoeburyness. After a number of bad experiences with the Seaview, we decided to try Wok King again. We were not disappointed!! Forgot how good it was! Great food, speedy delivery, hot tasty food and actually not too expensive! Would highly recommend! If they accepted card payment, it would’ve ben a perfect score!

Use to be excellent food. Turned up half cold and dry and was here within 15 mins so obviously just been put in microwave and heated up. Disgusting and dry food

Food took 1hour and 30 mins,curry sauce was solid apart from the oil that clearly surrounded it. Half portion of crispy beef ... All food was cold and was emptied into the bin as completely inedible.We did contact Wok king only to get told they are busy, no refund. Disgusting customers service.

Really good meal, great value and good service, genuinely recommend to anyone who likes Chinese in this area, only problem is they didn’t take cards as payment which in today’s world is a bit behind the times

The Wok king is handily placed in Shoeburyness for all those who want Chinese food. The food is generally good and hot. The service though is very erratic. It can take up to 45 minutes for a delivery although sometimes it is left. It is disappointing that often we have to contact Wok King to find out where the food is. All in all not bad ut please improve the service.

We use this from time to time , good satay chicken and pancake rolls . Most of the dishes we’ve tried are good , Only problem is when they change chefs the meal tastes different . Some times a pain if you haven’t cash on you but there’s plenty of there’s that take cards over the phone , their loss but good all the same .

The food from here is always really tasty never greasy Delivery is generally quick If you visit you can see the food being cooked in the open kitchen. Highly recommend Once tried you will not go elsewhere However I really wished they still opened earlier than 1630. Lunch-time would be brilliant. This place isn't located in an obvious location. It's not like a regular restaurant/takeaway place as it's an open kitchen. I understand you can see them cooking the food if you turn up to collect (which is reassuring), however, we ordered delivery. It terms of delivery times, it arrived on time. They advised 30 minutes and it was there within the time, so was pleased with this. The food wasn't greasy at all, and you could tell it was cooked really fresh. Food was all piping hot. Lovely, smooth plum sauce with the duck pancakes, duck was tender and very tasty. My wife enjoyed her sweet and sour chicken which was a good balance of flavours, pork Szechuan lovely and spicy, full of flavour. Chow mein was very tasty too. Good portion sizes. Oh really good value too - the prices are very affordable.

Great Chinese good fast food never wait long for food whether it's delivered or collected. If you can't get through on phone go in you still won't wait long and 10% discount for collection.

Best Chinese takeaway locally only takes cash which is a shame as if you forget you have to go to look for cash machine , very nice food

During my recent visit to Friends staying in Thorpe Bay we enjoyed another enjoyable take away from Wok King Express. Food was delicious and The Lemon Chicken was the best I've ever tasted !!!! Love their Food.

I order my take out from here at least monthly and they never fail to deliver. The food is amazing, it's clean, flavoursome and not greasy like other Chinese takeouts can be. The staff are always friendly and the food is cooked in front of you in a spotlessly clean kitchen. This is my favourite Chinese takeaway in the area and I have not had any takeaway as good as this. The dry spare ribs are delicious with plenty of meat on them, the crispy beef is extra crispy with a lovely tangy spicy sauce, the egg fried rice is light and fluffy and full of flavour, the chow meins are always full of flavoursome chunks of meat and veg, the chicken and prawn balls are a large portion with nice size chunks of meat and fish in them with a beautiful sweet and sour sauce and the chop suey is light and full of crunchy veg and beautifully cooked meats or fish. I have never had a bad dish from here and will continue to order again and again!

Rubbish food tonight. Ordered & I asked how long for delivery (otherwise I would have picked up!). I was told 30 mins but 1 hour 20 mins later we were still waiting for our food! It was luke warm & as I like my food hot I found it inedible. Not impressed obviously guessing this takeaway is taking too many deliveries at same time! Food is cold! I wish I hadn't bothered & cooked myself!

I've been using Wok King express since they opened and what astounds me is the consistency. Never had a bad meal and the staff are very friendly. Wok King is the standard I set other takeaways by and no one has really come close.

There are 7 chinese takeaways in Shoebury, I have tried them all. The food here is never greasy and always really tasty. Delivery is usually really quick! You can see them cooking the food in the open kitchen. The only bad thing is they don't open for lunch any more!

Back to visit friends in Thorpe Bay we had a Saturday Night Take Away which my friend picked up from Wok King!!!! The Food was delicious Lemon Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chili Beef, Noodles all really tasty food. Love you Food !!!!!!

I used to go to the pearl dragon for take away.however have been using wok King for the last few years.great food and speedy delivery never had a bad experience highly recommended .

Best Chinese takeaway outside of central SOUTHEND. Reasonable prices and delicious food. Fast and I mean fast service. Open kitchen and a 10% discount for pickup.
