My favourite place ever so sad they are shutting mud March get down before they close. Food is amazing

Went for my sisters birthday and it was amazing as ever. Such a shame that they are closing down. We will really really miss them.

This place has been a staple of Westcliff. Whole the décor hasn't changed in a few years and it doesn't look like a fancy restaurant the food is to die for! Great quality for a fantastic price. If you don't mind the downgraded decor this is by far the best Chinese buffet in Southend.

Must try the Salt & Pepper Squid and satay chicken. Very nice food. Very friendly staff, was recommended by a friend. Can’t go wrong with the food.

I strongly recommend this restaurant its all can eat buffet and the food is out of this world, so much variety to choose from, me and the family went there to celebrate mums birthday, the staff are wonderful there and really helpful, and welcoming, we be booking again 1000 per cent, thank you for a lovely evening, safe to say we all slept well after lol the food filled us all up, all that reads this definitely needs to give it a try. Thank me later.

Fantastic again best chinese in westcliff and southend value for money food always cooked hot can't fault the staff. Be down again in the new year. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Got a takeaway for my birthday, and the lovely ladies at the restaurant included a bottle of wine for my birthday - what beauties they are. Food is always amazing and we just love it. The best takeaway Chinese around. The spicy crispy beef is to die for and the sesame prawns are lovely too. In fact, I can't criticise anything that we choose - it's all awesome. Hot and Sour Soup is a treat, too.

It is one of our favourite places to go as a treat or family occasion. The food is lovely and has a huge variety and the staff are very polite and welcoming.

Lovely, tasty food all cooked from scratch to order. Amazing value for the low prices. Staff are great, both friendly and efficient. Quirky low-cost decor which we really liked.

We visited to celebrate my Stepdad's birthday and there was 10 of us. All of the food was outstanding, particularly the sesame prawn toasts, which were the best that I have tasted in a long time. My fussy niece reckoned that the chicken balls were the best she has ever tried, too. We had a wide selection of different starters, and all freshly cooked to order. Service was friendly and timely and I can't speak highly enough for the evening. And the price - considerably less than you'll pay elsewhere for an all you can eat buffet.

Food wasn’t particularly nice or tasty overall. Both me and partner had one bite of chow menu and didn’t fancy the rest. Chicken curry was okay, but watered down compared to other Chinese we have had. Pretty disappointing and dissatisfied. Pluses - relatively cheap & quick delivery.

This is the first time in 37 years of living in this town that I have tried this place, OMG have I been missing out. The food was sensational and freshly cooked, I had dishes I would never try before and so glad I tried them. The staff are lovely and I feel I can’t move from eating so much. This place is definitely my new go to for a Chinese buffet, so angry I hadn’t tried it earlier in life as I was missing out.

First time at champagnes'. Liked their buffet/table service, delivered quickly. Friendly staff and reasonable price, and fairly easy parking.

The food is absolutely outstanding and the ladies are really friendly and helpful. The interior decor may not be to all tastes, but please look past this as the food is some of the best chinese food that I've ever had. In particular, the Crispy Shredded Beef is outstanding. I drive more than 20 miles for a take away from here, and that must show what great food they serve. The prices are very good, too.

I read the reviews before booking this restaurant for my birthday, I really wish I'd taken heed!!! Service was probably the worse I've ever had....3 hours waiting for our mains!!!! Won't be going again....all the tables that came in after us, were served before???!!!! Some of my party were given their mains before their starters ???? Whilst some of us didn't get!!! Duck starter was delicious but took 45 minutes to arrive! Awful, just awful.

Went here only because partner wanted to give it another chance I wish we didn't now. As we started eating I started coughing a piece of metal like scouring pad flew out wrapped in noodles I had been eating :0 the waitress rushed over just as another customer started coughing also same reason, she rushed us out offering to reduce the bill. Absolutely disgusting the decor is from the 80s much better places. Try Mr.Pings Southchurch it's 100x better.

Decor is very tired but food is very good and cooked completely fresh. All you can eat for £22 but we'd have been better if we'd just had unlimited starters. Too full for main course after all the hors deurves, then duck pancakes.

Went here for first time. The restaurant is basic with no thrills. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. There was lots of choice on the menu and all available. Restaurant was quite busy with both diners and takeaways. It was a pleasant relaxed evening and we didn’t feel rushed which was perfect

£21 per person made to order as much as you like. Our 1st & last time here as we not impressed with the food sadly. Staff polite & attentive. Decor dark & off putting, this place needs lighting updated. Food looks great but not every thing taste pleasant. Absolutely over loaded with salt we felt it was done so people would drink more, sweet sour was served as pekinge sauce & kungpo sauce all taste of sweet & sour no difference in flavour at all. Most satisfied with chicken chow mein flavour although barely find any chicken just a few flakes. Would not recommend or return, but ok if you don't care what it taste like & just want to fill up. Gold Coast along seafront is the same price & 100% better food. We dine out at least twice a week & prefer quality over quantity.

The food was lovely all freshly cooked. Prawns where really nice. Service was slow and would be nice to have a smile also looked a bit like hospital staff with blue gloves and masks but they where just trying to be safe maybe white gloves would look better. I will definitly go again as the food was first class and superb definitly recommend it.

Honestly love this place. At first glance it needs a bit of a cosmetic lift but you will not be disappointed with the food or service.

After giving this place 4 1/2 stars 2 years ago. I'm sorry to say I've reduced this to 3. We recently had a take away from here and it was not worth the stars I previously gave, I'm sorry to say. The food was nothing to rave about.

Delicious food, generous portion size. The satay chicken is very good lovely chicken and beautiful sauce. Staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend to otgers and will be back again soon!

Usually go to Zen City on Hamlet Court Road but thought we'd give this a try. Champagne is more expensive than Zen and not in same league. Tatty decor and a minute choice in comparison. Staff polite enough and food OK but would not go back.

I have eaten here for years and had many take aways both collected and delivered. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to be able to actually visit the restaurant again once it’s is safe to do so. I have answered the various questions below for when we visited last in person when we were out of the first lock down since then it has been takeaways delivered safely and carefully following all guidelines

I travel quite a few miles to go to Champagne as its tbe best around. Chicken satay is the best I've ever had. Unlike other places nearby they don't go stingy on the sauces and chicken plus its not overloaded with salt. Looking forward to going back soon.

The food here really is the best in essex. It's always very fresh and super tasty! The staff are always friendly and happy to help. I'm 100% a fan of there hot and sour soup! No peas no shrimp... 😊 Extremely recomend!

The Restaurant was a bit dated with the lighting and decor but the food was lovely and so much of it. The staff were very good and helpful. All in all anice place .

I live around 20 miles away from the restaurant, and as well as eating in, I actually go there for take away. Their spicy shredded beef is to die for. The salt and pepper ribs are awesome, too. In fact, there's nothing that I don't like there.

Absolutely wonderful food,staff couldn’t do enough for you I do have to say though it was very empty but I would say to people go there and see for yourselves. You can even get takeaway.

A friend and I fancied Chinese and so visited Champagne again. The food is as good as ever, with a wide choice of starters. We had a selection and also the crispy duck as a second course and were stuffed.The only thing I would say, if I was being picky, is that the choice of lagers is quite small. Just Fosters, apart from bottled beer. It would be really good if there were other alternatives to choose from. But that's just a small grumble.

Food is shockingly salty and poor quality. The place is in need of a major refurb with outdated decor poor lighting and looking like it's back in the 1960's. Give it a swerve if you can

I love Champagne! I've been visiting for years, & always receive good service, great food & at a low price. The buffet costs just £14.80, so with a few drinks, it's a very reasonable evening out. The staff have always been friendly & helpful, and provide a quick service. I really enjoyed eating here again, & no doubt will be back soon. Kepp up the good work!!

I've been going to Champagne for years, and the food is great. Hot, cooked to order, and yet an all-you-can eat place. I truly love the crispy shredded beef as a starter, and the sate chicken is good. The ribs are meaty and the special chow mein awesome. My friend really loved the pork spring rolls and we had a second portion of those. I went retro and had chicken with pineapple for a main course, and by that time we were totally stuffed. Unfortunately, we were the only people in the restaurant all night. One piece of advice - could they buy in some different lagers, other than Carlsberg and Chinese Beer. They pour it from the can, so they could sell a wider selection and that would improve things enormously.

This is a no thrills restaurant but the food is lovely. Always well cooked and piping hot with great flavour. It's an all you can eat for a set price which increases slightly at the weekend and please note that a percentage service charge is included. This place won't appeal to everyone but if its just the flavour of the food that your interested in then it's a real winner. Its definitely worth a try. I hope this helps 👍🙂

If you are looking for an upmarket place then this is not your place as definitely needs a refurb, but if it’s great tasty Chinese then this place will not fail you. Is unlike all the other all you can eat buffets that taste terrible. All the things ordered from the menu are so delicious, comes out quick and hot and friendly staff.

I enjoyed this place until I found out they got 2 stars on hygiene :( wont go back now

Fabulous food and lovely service

Me and a friend went for a evening meal at 6pm first time at this place and was disappointed, they had blinds in the front window which were permanently shut which made the place dark inside. The whole interior was shabby including the table cloths. The food was good and so was the service. Strange place lots of potential [ come on guys get your act together you could be making a fortune.] Such a shame

We visited Champagne recently, after a short 2-year break, & it was no surprise that the food was still as delicious & of high quality. The restaurant has a nice small, family-run atmosphere, with spacious seating, and very good service. I've been eating there for around 15 years, so am very accustomed to the great food & prices charged for the all you can eat buffet style meal. The restaurant is clean, tidy, and well laid-out. It was a Saturday so service wasn't quite as quick as it was usually, but it was extremely busy. My favourite dishes here include the Smoked Chicken, Crispy fried Chicken & Beef, Prawn Toast (from starters), & Singapore Noodles & Chicken Chow Mein from the Main Menu section. The nice thing about Champagne is that you can mix-up your orders to suit your tastes while you're there, and order your favourites again too. A really nice evening, in nice surroundings, with great food & service. Well done Champagne!!

We visit Champagnes at least once a month and are always very happy. The selection of food to choose from is great, and the staff are friendly and courteous. Will continue to visit.

We go couple times a month lovely freshly cooked food 👌🏼 Only improvement I would suggest is better lighting in the establishment as very dark and dull, but obviously doesn't effect food

We have been frequent visitors to Champagnes for over ten years, whilst the decoration, tableware, drink selection has been average at best, the value for money and excellent quality food has more than made up for the above.
