Ho's Kitchen in Southend-on-Sea

wWell, cant believe im writing this but sadly HO'S is ,after 3 more attempts , going from bad to worse . Food came out bland and cold , everyone in our group did not eat half what they were given all saying it wasnt nice . Two of our group ate none at all and opted to go back out and get a kebab instead it was that bad. Sadly thats our last try at HO'S . I believe they are closing down anyway so.....

Perfect tasty food , a great find as new to the area, will definitely return and would recommend to all .

Had a lovely takeaway for five, freshly cooked, chicken balls were the best I’ve had, lovely white chicken, duck was good, served on the bone, chicken satay was great and full of flavour, Singapore chow mein was great too

Another tasty take away from my favourite Chinese kitchen. Always friendly service and nicely cooked food.

Price has gone up by a third. Prawn balls were soft and tasted of flour and the duck wasn’t crispy, just expensive muck. I won’t bother with this old favourite again.

Went to hos kitchen just to get a curry sauce for my chips it was tasteless it was like guppy gravy no taste horrible

Put your orders in early as not the quickest but definitely the best Chinese takeaway in Leigh.

Had to travel to leigh for a funeral and stayed in an air b and b local. Was closest chinese takeaway as family all fancied 1. Wow food was amazing. Compliments to chef and for catering well for gluten free wife. Service was amazing thank you

This is the best Chinese takeaway in the area, I have tried others before moving into the area, Becky is brilliant, food amazing, food packaging excellent for taking away, prices are competitive, but knock others into a top hat with the quality of the food 😋

Always good food, cooked fresh. Sometimes there is a wait because of this, but if you know you will be having a takeaway order the day before 👍

Good range on menu. Lovely food. Not greasy at all no artifical colouring. Did great dumplings very tasty quick and reasonably priced Chinese food!

Best chinese takeaway If you look like tasty chinese this has got to the best I have found locally . Highly Recommend the Singapore rice noodle it’s really tasty. The only downside sometimes you do have to wait a while but this is because the dishes are all freshly prepared but worth the wait.

This little unassuming Chinese is really something special. What a find. The food is without doubt the best Chinese in the Southend area. It's cooked fresh to order with quality ingredients. The chicken with chilli & salt is scrumptious. The food is never greasy or heavy on msg like some. Go give it a try, you will not be disappointed & you will ask yourself why you have never tried it before. Highly recommend.

Amazing - me and my friend are gluten free and they made it so easy to answer all of our questions if we can have certain things etc. Lovely staff and GORGEOUS food honestly everything was cooked to perfection and they made it so easy for us to understand what we could have and nothing was a problem they was so attentive to our needs !!! Probably one of the best take away chinese's i've ever had, very tasty, not super greasy like some others and a great service! pretty much always pickup as its on our road, had no issues and love the authentic decor in the shop, my go too Chinese! try it, you wont regret it.

What a find! Definitely best Chinese in the area. Food tastes fresh & not at all greasy or heavy on the msg like many Chinese takeaways can be. Great value too. This will be our go to in the future. Highly recommend.

First try at this place, near to the A127 tucked away next to Byfords Food hall, think its a cash only place as didn't see a card machine, usual menu, average sized portions but not over priced, when it says 'Chilli' it means Chilli, which is a big plus point as many places say Chilli/Hot when its not, nice flavours, the Szechuan King prawns was a bit of a watery dish but had a good amount of Prawns in, the crispy beef was excellent as were the Chilly and salt Ribs, best order on the phone first save time, No website, can park outside, waiting area a bit cold, will use again.

Fantastic Chinese always fills us up, great price and really authentic decor! And they play Harry Potter on the TV best chinese!

Been my local chinese takeaway for years, never had issues and value for money is great

We have used Ho's kitchen frequently and always found the food good quality and the staff very pleasant. We mostly collect. You do need to order early or face a long wait, this is due to the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

We have takeaway from here regularly. The food is always top quality and have never had problems with missing items. There is sometimes quite a long wait if we don’t remember to order early enough but I would definitely take that as a good sign. The staff are always friendly too. Would definitely recommend.

Great Chinese take away, great food and service

Local standard chinese take-away restaurant, providing a fairly comprehensive cantonese menu with other choices. Family owned and run, so service can be a bit slow, but usually worth waiting for. Local home delivery also available.

Thought we would have a takeaway as it would be late if we cooked ourselves . However we had to wait about half an hour for our food so was a bad idea in the end. However, it priced the food is freshly prepared and it was worth the wait!

We are lucky enough to live close to this takeaway. The food is excellent and the service friendly. Prices are reasonable too. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I've been a loyal customer to this place but will not be returning after a mix up with the order. When I phoned to complain I was met with an attitude. I totally understand the review where the order wasn't delivered and the customer was lied to. Disgusting customer service. Don't waste your time paying to be spoken to like you're worthless.

...we've now been let down 4 times by this place.... no deliveries...car broken down...... they apologise but their car breaking down continuously but it's a poor excuse as when I say we'll pick up, they say they don't have the dinner available, so it's a dishonest excuse..... Sorry, but we won't be going back.....

Es muy difícil pasar este llevar y no empezar con hambre con los aromas. Personal muy amable y servicial, que sirve un variado menú de platos muy sabrosos. Disfrutamos de algunos de los platos japoneses cuando estaban disponibles y me encantaría ver estas volver, pero mientras tanto estamos disfrutando de la selección de otras opciones en el menú. Gran entrega la casa también para cuando estamos un poco vago sentimiento!

Usually eat from here most weeks , The sqiud is one of my favorites and the kung po chicken is to die for .Give it a try you may well be suprised.

Pasó por este lugar la semana pasada, al regresar a casa, y como estaba abierto en el lunes por la noche, me pareció que tendría una comida para llevar. Me sorprendió gratamente, en primer lugar en los precios razonables, y la segunda, la calidad de la comida. A pesar de que yo tenía otro viaje en coche de 5 minutos después de llegar a casa, la comida no era blanda y cálido ad fish and chips tiendas normalmente son. Sin duda comprar aquí de nuevo!

Este es un restaurante único llevar con una opción de entrega. Nos lo usa regularmente, y se han hecho durante algunos años, ya que está cerca de la casa. llevar la media china, nothing to dislike pero; a destacar. No obstante mezclaros un poco con la opción de unos cuantos platos tailandeses y japoneses aunque éstas tienden hacia 'el estilo chino. A un precio razonable y satisfará más en la búsqueda de un estilo estándar llevar.
