Always a good experience and definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area. July 2023 - I have slightly downgraded my star rating as I have noticed that the quality I generally receive from Taste of China has gone down.

I can't believe the food I recieved last night. Like they say a picture says a thousand stories. 4 ribs which should have been BBQ SPARE RIBS. Dreadful I was scared to eat the char sui due to it being pork and the colour was strange. The noodles should have been chow mein but ended up being angel hair pasta over cooked, the prawns and other meats was also of a strange colour. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GET A TAKEAWAY FROM HERE AGAIN!

We have been using this takeaway since our usual one shut down, and it is mostly really good. Tonight, we ordered orange chicken for a change along with a couple of other items. I should have tasted it before putting on my plate on top of other dishes. I have never tasted anything so awful. It tasted like someone had bought the cheapest Happy Shopper orange squash and poured it over the cheapest battered chicken breast from Iceland and blasted the whole lot in the microwave. The overwhelming flavour was saccharine and my whole plate was ruined by it and had to go in the bin. Very disappointed.

Always get a large portion here good quality and the crispy beef is excellent, Duck in black bean is filled with meat, small cut ribs, nice noodles, and chicken dishes, a vast menu, reliable place and it’s cash only no card payments.

This was the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had. The food was excellent delivered quickly. The delivery driver was polite and friendly. Will definitely be my go to takeaway. I would recommend this takeaway to all my friends. Brilliant. Thank you.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This is a take away only service. We have ordered food many times and it was ok. We ordered this week and the person at the reception ( only one person manages the show.) is not a very friendly person. And the food we ordered, we couldn’t not recognise it . The taste is not at all like Chinese. The chicken we ordered is flooded with sauce and taste is not nice. So we decided NOT to Order anything from this place.

Ordered 2 starters duck and pancakes and Thai chicken stir fry and Singapore Thai noodles absolutely no taste at all. No crispy duck already chopped up, horrible. Singapore Thia noodles No taste, Chicken Thia stir fry absolutely disgusting, no flavour or taste of Thia. Only started to use this Chinese but maybe will not use them again. Food needs to be tasted by themselves before sending out, we wasted 3 dishes what a waste of money.

Our absolute favourite Chinese takeaway! Will not go anywhere else as food is always amazing from here.

We ordered our takeaway using Taste of China for the first time, was told they take Cash only so immediately thought this was strange and had to go to the cash machine. Was then told it would be an hour wait for delivery , this is ok as it’s a Saturday night. It didn’t arrive until 1 hour 40 minutes so was very late. We were so hungry by the time it arrived. All I can say by the time we ate it was YUK. The worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. The Chow Mein is made from thin noodles very strange and all tasted horrible. The noodles were luke warm and tasteless. £35.00 badly spent. Will never go to Taste of China again and I advise people not to go there .

I have ordered from "Taste of China" for probably 3 years now, I have tried most if not all of the Chinese restaurants around here, and I can honestly say there food is by far the best Chinese around here. Quick delivery, great food, highly recommended. 5 🌟 star.

Really enjoyed a takeaway from this place last weekend. All the dishes were excellent. Nice and spicy and very tasty. Delivery was a bit slow but we understood it was busy. Good prices and value for money deserve to be busy. I would of given this top marks if I’d not ordered chow mein on each occasion and got vermicelli noodles instead despite them being very hot and tasty. The pancake rolls are to die for and huge. Highly recommend.

Worth the wait! Took a bit longer to arrive than expected, but my meal was absolutely delicious. It all tasted so fresh and nicely cooked. My first taste of pineapple & cashew nut fried rice really hit the spot! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be back for more.

Ordered online for the first time, normally phone in. Waited half an hour in the takeaway to get it. Got home and its cold. Very poor.

Been using this takeaway for years but last nights meal was exceptional. Every dish was really tasty, piping hot and freshly cooked. Think we had Taste of Canton. Great prices, good portions. Highly recommend

I recommend! --For anyone doing SLIMMING WORLD; • Beef in black bean sauce (a slight kick to it, very tasty) - 360g nearly the whole portion) - 5 syns • Egg fried rice - 300g (a fair amount of rice) - 4 syns • Prawn crackers - 5 - 1.5 syns (or 10 for 3 syns). • Salt & pepper chicken - around 10 syns for 400g Check google to confirm. If you buy these dishes, they can last two meals to spread your syns.

I have used Taste of China on a number of occasions. This is my number one go to Chinese takeaway. Fast delivery, good price, tasty food and very consistent. Big portion sizes as well which is always good for leftovers the next day. Would 100% recommend the delivery service.

The food was good. The prices are reasonable. Would be 5 stars but I requested delivery at 18:15 (on my way home from work) and it arrived at 17:45!

Best take away in the area. They make the biggest pancake rolls in the world too, they are a meal in themselves.

Bit hit and miss but when it's good it's very good. Trouble is it's not always so.

Was told my phone order would take 45 - 1hour. It arrived in less than half hour and looked and tasted like re-heated gloop. A very bad choice.

This was the first time we had used this restaurant and we were not disappointed. We had a large family gathering and placed a big order. This was all done so easily online. The restaurant kept in touch and were really accommodating with the delivery time as I needed to change this slightly at short notice. Food was excellent and we shall definitely be using them again and recommending to others. Overall we were very impressed.

We were lucky enough to be recommended this place and we are so glab we ordered. Last night we had friends over so ordered around £80 worth of food. It arrived all piping hot, portions are massive and they are just so lovely. We think this is the best Chinese we have ever had. I order from here all the time but with such a big order the service and food was all still amazing. My favourite take away well done fast of China.

Decided to have a takeaway from here as it was recommended by a friend. Bit annoying that you cannot pay by card over phone so we had to cancel the order and then go online and re order as we didn't have enough cash. We went for the Taste of Canton menu and overall it was very good. The ribs in the starter were a little dry and I thought the sauce in the duck and pork main were a bit too similar, one sweet sauce in the mains would have been better. Overall though it was very good, lots of meat and prawns in the mains and tasty. Plenty of food for the price.

A yellow flavouring accompanied the Lemon Chicken with no fresh lemon. The chicken pieces were tough. Chicken with Pineapple: Some fresh pineapple would have been appreciated. Sweet Chilli Chicken with Cashew Nuts: The few nuts in the dish were chewy. The Prawn Toast was burned and the Egg Fried Rice soggy.Restaurant website shows credit cards are accepted but we were told it was "cash only" Very disappointing in every way.

This is our new favourite Chinese, the food is always so fresh and tasty and arrives in reasonable time. We ordered online at 4pm,knowing they didn't open until 5 but thought we'd get our order in first as the kids were eating with us. They called to ask if we'd like it as soon as possible, and it arrived at 4.50pm, 10 minutes before they even opened!

Always large portions with lots of meat content, good flavours, decent Menu, crispy beef and sea salt ribs are superb, consistently good place to get a take away in Leigh, near to Tesco Express, cards not taken unless you order online so its cash on collection

Really tasty Chinese food which is not at all greasy. They make the sauces themselves unlike most other places. I was surprised how good this was and I think it's hard to find a good Chinese.

Ordered online for collection, was impressed with the options and the discount. They called when the food as ready, so no time wasted. The food was fresh and of a really high standard. Will be visiting again.

Big portions of fresh food cooked in 10 minutes whilst you wait and no washing up. They were also able to cater for a vegan and my allergies with alternative suggestions. We'll be back!

Hecha de arroz con agua y, en general, fue asqueroso. Me hubiera sido mejor ir a Tesco tener una mejor comida con una botella de vino. A mi me gusta normalmente dan buen comercio local de negocios, pero este lugar tardó 8 minutos para entregar una noche de sábado a las 10:00. ¿Que decir? Buen servicio? No. . . . No se estipula. calidad de negocios de comida y pobre sacar todas las sobras que no podía vender durante la semana.

Have been to this takeaway for the last eight years. we have recommended it to friends. The quality, is now very poor. i ordered a special curry and rice.. might of well ordered oinion curry. Would not go there again.

Thoroughly dissapointed, the worst Chinese we've ever had !! The chicken in the Thai red curry was cheap and chewy and the only vegetables in it were onions practically a whole one With no spice or heat it was more like a bad Korma ! Then the pork chow mein was very dry with no spring onions or taste ! The seasame prawn toast and spring rolls might have been passable if they hadn't tasted like they had been fried in month old oil !! We had to throw the whole meal away it was discusting a complete waste of money and ruined our evening .we will never recommend or go here again !!

We always have the same order wherever we go, half a duck, beef noodles and crispy seaweed. Having only moved to the area recently we in the process of trying all the local chinese take aways and this was the best so far by some way. Lovely duck and tasty what i call dry noodles with nothing drowning in oil, highly recommend.
