The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Southend-on-Sea East of England

I have been having Chinese from this take away for years!! Best Chinese I have had!!! I have 6 fussy children and they all find something of the menu...your needs are well catered for, if you ask to have a change to your dish they will always accommodate. Portions are large, price is excellent and service is fantastic!! If you collect you Dave 10%, which is a great saving. Have no negatives about this takeaway...have missed them during the lockdown!

Would say more but food however tasty, Seams to have a beef not the best, unless not properly cut as per strings in, but all tasty. I am cold man, but unfortunately Wife and Daughter were not happy with extremely cold toilets To have proper grounded coffee also would make us to go for a dessert but with instant it would not taste good enough

This restaurant used to be a very good place for meetings and dinner. Visited this place so many times. Recently, the management has changed, and I can't find any of the familiar staff. We ordered several items. They said the kitchen is going to close soon. Of the many , only a couple of items were of any worth to be on the table. They just fried something in the wok and served. Being a cook, I can see the basic fundamental ingredients were not added.some items were so dry that you needed water to swallow. The bill is very high for the food. My sincere suggestion to whoever read this review: " Please check your bill." I did not realise they put a service charge." Also, often, I have experienced overcharged many times. ) I was tipping them on top of the service charge. Service charge is grey area. It goes to the " management or only a small portion of it is given to the staff. Hope the food quality gets better

We had a fantastic last meal at Mr Tangs. We have been visiting for over 30 years and have never had a bad meal. With very best wishes to Mary, Ken and all the team for the future. Thank you for all the excellent food, always friendly welcome and lovely atmosphere. It will be much missed and judging by how full the restaurant was earlier we aren't the only ones who will miss it!

Best Chinese Takeaway in Southend City and beyond. They are retiring soon now and will be greatly missed.

If 0 stars was an option, I’d be giving a 0 stars, was told up to a 2 hour wait for our order, after an hour an a half had passed, rang up to get an update to be told, it would be AT LEAST another 2 hour wait. The woman on the phone was very rude, no manners, she wouldn’t know what good customer service is if had smacked her in the face!

My favourite place ever so sad they are shutting mud March get down before they close. Food is amazing

I thought I should leave a review as we have been going here for some years. Always a smile from the staff. A great family run takeaway been established for years. A good price and the food is always fresh and tasty. You should see the cues on special occasions like Christmas. It is one of Southend’s best cat secrets.

Food was absolutely disgusting, service wasn't bad but the food was like it was heated up from the night before, restaurant was bland and all we could hear was the staff shouting at each other, avoid like the plague
