The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Ipswich East of England

The food was an hour late. We called to see where it was and they sounded very stressed and said give him 5 minutes. The car arrived almost immediately after I had called, but the driver through just eat said he had trouble finding the house. We have ordered serval times before and also we have a lit up number on out house! The food was stone cold. We called to say it was cold, but the attitude of the restaurant was they were 'very busy', the food was 'freshly cooked' and they argued with us. We concluded we would not order from them again. Very disappointed and had to re-heat the food.

One of the best Chineses in Ipswich might not look the best from the outside but you wouldn’t be disappointed when you try it!

Been coming here for years Will tweak orders if asked, always helpful. Review amended, has obviously changed hands, food, flavour and quality have vastly changed, to such an extent, that we now NO longer use this takeaway. Very disappointed.

Cash only. Food was not great and also a little more expensive than our usual place in Colchester. Five dishes to test and the most obvious was that the sweet and sour balls were crunchy almost to the point of being too hard and the batter just tasted strongly of oil rather than ginger or spice so had to be eaten with the sauce. The sauce was very clearly made with a lot of pineapple, not unpleasant but 'different'. The special fried rice was very dry and hard, containing lots of meat but most of it was sausage..frankfurter or spam or similar (!) ...and that was fairly nasty. The chicken fried rice was better. Lemon chicken and chilli beef were only average. Note that it is Cash only. The staff were friendly and nice.

Takeaway here is amazing. The tofu dishes are great. The rice is super generous. The dumplings seem homemade

2 hours for delivery and cold when it did arrive, seriously gone down hill, such a shame as was always fabulous

Duck is nice but the mixed hors d'oeuvres were a complete rip off . For two you get 4 prices of prawn toast, 4 tiny spring rolls, 2 ribs and seaweed for £16!!

I’ve been ordering from china city for years all my friends and family order from here also, don’t listen to the bad reviews the food is always fresh and fast delivered. I would highly recommend

Delivered from here before and was impressed so ordered again and how different it was! Egg fried rice and special fried rice was rubbery so was the chow mein , no flavour, the chicken in black bean sauce was chewy and rubbery. Sweet and sour sauce was bitter so didn’t even bother with that. Won’t be returning.

My goto Chinese. Good food at a fair price and great customer experience. Tried other Chinese restaurants in stowmarket before finding this one. No I go nowhere else.

!! Update!!! I wouldn't eat here anymore if I was you always been on the dirty side but after seeing pictures of the kitchen it's disgusting!!...We order here nearly every other week. Sometimes delivery is slow but I mostly pick up anyway. We have certain meals we always order and there always good.. I've ordered other things off the menu and I probably wouldn't have them again but that's more due to personal taste..
