Just bought beef chow mein, 3 small pieces of beef burnt, dry and tasteless. The prawn crackers were also tasteless.

I have just ordered from this Chinese The food was horrible. Cold and the Chicken Balls were Raw not even cooked properly. My daughter is heavily pregnant so I rang them up to be told just put it in the microwave...She's heavily pregnant and can't recook meat. Absolutely awful place

Waited over an hour for food to be under cooked and chicken balls cooked with fish and sauce had allergic reaction and food poisoning imagine 😂 called and asked for refund got nothing

We ordered a Chinese this evening after being told on the phone 40 minutes my partner then sat there a further 30+ minutes!! Got the food home and dished up. The chicken chow main smelt like somebody had been stumping out their cigarettes into it and tasted like pure ash and burnt! The rice was over cooked very stodgy and hard The chicken balls had oil dripping from them so much grease The sweet and sour sauce was some how so spicy Literally everything we ordered had something wrong with it!! Never ever would I go back and use this Chinese

Used to be my favourite Chinese but its just gone so far down hill everything tastes chemically prawn crackers were burnt (all 6 of them 👀) if you complain he will simply hang up the phone such a shame as used to be so lovely service and all but it's just not the same anymore. Delivery took an hour and a half.

Ive never eaten a chinese like it. It was in the style of a normal Chinese but just not nice. It was “weird”. Cant explain it. Will update if I have food poisoning

Just a bit slow on cooking the food. Waited quite a while. Otherwise, friendly and food was still tasty.

There is only ONE chef working in the kitchen day and night from 12pm to 4am. Hard working man and he is my father in his 60s. Those who have rated him 1 star and put a horrible negative review should just go eat elsewhere. Unappreciative rude customers are not welcomed.

Ordered from there last night and it was the worst Chinese food we have ever had, the food was either cold or under cooked, the food smelt off, the order was wrong, the dog even turned it's nose up at it, it was disgusting

Had tonight takeaway. ☆☆☆☆☆ for the staff ☆☆☆☆ for price ☆☆ for food, not tasty at all I prefer to pay more but to eat tasty food... Sorry for the 3 stars, but I can't give more. Luckily the man was nice and polite otherwise I would give 2 stars.

We order from this place regularly as the food is generally really nice, but once again we’ve waited for 2 hours in which we called the restaurant to be told we were the “next delivery” and had 40 minutes on top of that with no delivery still as I’m writing this. It’s very annoying as the food is lovely, but the service is absolutely atrocious and nothing is ever done about it. Incompetent staff/delivery drivers, someone needs to pick it up as it lets down the great quality of food.

The owner is fantastic, will cook food to your request. Just done me some Thai Tom Yum noodles with beef. Brilliant.

Ordered food off just eat and was waiting nearly 3 hours for the order to turn up. Phoned the restaurant 6 times and got told it would be about 5 to ten minutes each time. It’s the only gluten free Chinese restaurant and because of my partner’s coeliac disease always order from here for her however this will be the last time as everyone else had their food and she was waiting ages.

It may have a 4 star food hygiene rating but the food is really good. You can watch the chefs working away with their woks over the hot flames. Present covid prevention measures are in place and seem to work.

Asked for the waiting time prior to ordering (went in to order for collection) and was advised 15 minutes. Ended up waiting over 50 minutes and when I phoned them to leave feedback the guy at the end of the phone couldn’t have been rider and could not understand my frustration. Will not be using this Chinese again nor would I continue to recommend it.

Took over 1.5 hours for 4 dishes to arrive on a Tuesday when the restaurant is less than a mile from my house.. never had that with any other takeaways. Called to chase and was told it's on it's way but no apology. Food was hot but below average.. noodles seemed undercooked and the sweet and sour sauce didn't taste like sweet and sour and I found it strange it had peas in.. spring rolls looked a mess! Wont be ordering again unfortunately! Delivery driver was nice tho!

It took over an hour for delivery had to ring them and ask where it was. When it did arrive it was vile smoked chicken Rock hard in fact nearly broke a tooth trying to eat it sweet and sour sauce what is in it? Noodles really greasy! Was just nasty and chucked the whole £40 order in the bin. Never again There i eat a lot of Chinese and wouod never return to them I'll stick to my own in future Only reason I ordered from there was ours was shut

best pancake rolls ever fluffy and just that bit better than usual..established 1968 and still going strong can others in town say the same..not many..food good chef willing to listen and help with any dishes you desire,most negatives are from delivery customers its the norm im afraid and ive done diffrent food delivery for last 25 years..drop in in person and order if u can if not be realistic and if u want delivery dont be afraid to ask them truthfully how busy with deliveries they are ,,expecting a 60 pound meal at 7.30pm on a friday or saturday in 40 mins seldum happens.just eat is good but has its bad too...anyway chop suey house gets a 9/10 i havnt had a bad meal from them in over 5 yrs but i do pop in to order only.

DONT BOTHER Pre ordered food on line at 3pm got confirmed just after 5 when they opened... it said delivery at 5.40 phoned just before 6pm said it will be 15 minutes then we called back at 6.40 to be told they can’t deliver we need to collect we had no way of collecting as I don’t drive so had to Russell something quick up for the children to eat before they went to bed... absolutely disgusting customer service and rude people

Ordered chicken satay ,dack chow main and prawn toast.Chicken was the worse one I have ever eaten,chow main far to salty and tasteless. Sezam prawn toast not so good as well.Wont be ordered again. 2 stars because food arrive earlier.

So I ordered on a Saturday night at 5pm it said it would be an hour 2 hours 20 minutes later still not here I phoned they said it was late due to traffic when it.finally did arrive it was a huge disappointment the chips was soggy and cold the chicken in the chicken and cashew nut was like nothing I had before in a bad way the sause was salty too salty hardly any chicken cold and really didn't taste nice at all the chicken balls looked and tasted like.they had been cooking for hours and the rest of the food.was quite foul to will never use again

Got our takeaway last night via just eat and had 20 minutes added to time of delivery but was not worth the wait. Pork curry was too salty to eat and the shredded duck was so dry we could not even eat it. Will not go back again.

We order here nearly every other week. Sometimes delivery is slow but I mostly pick up anyway. We have certain meals we always order and there always good.. I've ordered other things off the menu and I probably wouldn't have them again but that's more due to personal taste

Nunca pedir desde aquí de nuevo. Pésimo servicio al cliente. Tomó años para que los alimentos lleguen y cuando la salsa curry había dividido en la bolsa. La orden fue enviado sólo para ser devuelto sin arroz. Cuando este no contactó a más interesados en arreglar el problema. Además dieron un precio por teléfono luego de precios diferentes en la entrega. Y para rematar la comida era apenas comestible.La apariencia del lugar no llenará con confianza en cuanto a la higiene. Nunca le pida desde aquí de nuevo y recomiendo otros que no.

Got order wrong. Staff are unreliable, girl on phone just making everything up. Chips were grossly refried. Order was over hour late! Just don't!

Pedí pollo al curry, gambas dulce y agria y pelotas de pollo. Tanto el curry y salsa dulce y agria eran horribles. La salsa s&s; probado como el alcohol! No sé qué poner en ella, pero no es comestible. Y arrojaban la mucho no pedir de ellos!

A través de comer solo y pidió la confirmación dijo 45 minutos para la entrega. Finalmente nuestro pedido llegó después de 55 minutos sólo para encontrar 4 platos que faltaba. Llamé y me dijeron que iban a hablar con el conductor. Después de esperar 20 minutos llamaron dijeron que sería con nosotros en un minuto y el teléfono estaba puesto. 15 minutos más tarde el resto del pedido llegó. La comida era mediocre y que nunca volvería a usar este para llevar de nuevo. No quejarse al conductor que pidió disculpas y realmente no parece importarle.

Pedimos nuestra comida para llevar a las 7pm los domingos por la noche. La entrega estimada era de 7.45 pm. finalmente llegamos a las 08.15 h. Había cosas que faltaban 5 de nuestra orden por un total de £17.10.8.23 pm llamamos de vuelta y la tienda iba a contacto con el conductor de la entrega para averiguar qué sucedió en. A las 08.40 pm nos llamó y al hombre de la tienda me dijo: "la comida está en camino, estará allí en cualquier momento y de golpe el teléfono. El resto de la comida estaba fría en este punto. A las 21:00 horas la comida llegó finalmente. Lo único bueno de nuestra experiencia es lo bonito y decente era el conductor de la entrega. Absolutamente indignado!!!

Fui con algunos amigos para conseguir una China. Todos nuestros cazas regulares, así que nos estaban cerrados obligada a ir aquí. Esperamos casi una hora para la comida. Cuando llegamos a casa tanto un montón de satay squewers estaban crudas en el medio. Cuando llamamos...

Visitamos a mitad de la noche, una mujer joven educado y alegre tomó mi pedido y la comida era preparada rápidamente. Todo era de un alto estándar y un sabor delicioso, una buena relación calidad-precio para llevar, me di cuenta de que ahora también ofrecen un servicio de entrega que probaría la próxima vez.

I've been using this family run take away for many years and have never been disappointed.They offer a varied menu. I would recommend the curry, sweet and sour chicken, chow mein or fried rice. All delicious meals. The proprietor is a friendly chap and likes a bit of banter.

I have used this Chinese takeaway since the mid 70s, menu varied and great value. Probably the oldest in Ipswich.

We grabbed a menu on the way home to place an order later in the evening when we had some friends round for dinner. We ordered & were told 50mins to an hour. After 55mins we arrived to collect our meal. We waited & waited, after 20mins I asked what the hold up was, 'Its coming' was the reply.After another 15mins we were getting really pi**ed off with the wait, and asked again, at this point the owners daughter told us they had just started cooking the final dish, after 55 mins we finally got our food, we were really fed up and left with our food, only to find one dish was missing. We couldn't be bothered to go back for it, and will NEVER return again. The food was at best average,with 'Michaels' about 30mts away I would recommend going there!
