We had some friends that came to visit from the west country, and decided that we should eat out as it was a special occasion. I booked a table for when the restaurant opened at 17.30 hrs as our friends were returning to the south west later in the evening. We ordered a set menu meal for 4 and to say it was really very nice was a vast understatement. It was exceptional and very good value as there was plenty of food and was cooked to perfection. The young lady serving table was very good, as was the kitchen staff who was only too happy to explain the recipe for one of the dishes. I have had takeaways and also eaten in this establishment before, and in my opinion, and that of my friends, is one of the best, and is without any doubt in our minds it is the best in StNeots.

OMG. Just had possibly the worst meal out EVER!. We actually told them it was disgusting it was so bad. Glutinous sauces, reconstituted chicken, beef like strips of leather and everything tasted of garlic and not much else. The place was shabby, small and cramped. The prices were steep considering the meat was of the poorest quality. we paid £26.40 pp for a set menu and there was not a noodle or a prawn in sight. This place was once a favourite but we had not visited since covid. Clearly it has changed hands and has been reduced to around 12 - 14 covers tightly squeezed in. Disappointment awaits! Thought the chef might have come out to apologise but he was obviouslt too arrogant to take critiism

Been away from home for 2 weeks, this restaurant definitely healed my homesick with all the food served are taste like home. Authentically Malaysian Cuisine, with team of chef from Malaysia, service from waiter and waitress are very friendly. Definite will recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good Asian restaurant.

Since Mr Wong retired the new ownership are rude and only take cash. Really dissapointing service and the food isn't good enough to tempt me into going back again.

Just moved to the village and we tried this last night for the first time, really enjoyed it, meat quality was good too. Will be back

Golden house is always our go to Chinese take away. Food is always tasty and piping hot. We sometimes order a collection and take it down to family in Biggleswade as they prefer it to any near them and the food is always still hot after a 20 minutes drive in the car

Never had a bad take away from here. Cash only is a pain in the arse so lost a star for that

Waited 3 hrs, was told after 1 hr only be 10 minutes and waited a further 2 hrs. Food turned up with no apologies but by then we had ordered another take away. We phoned them over 400 times with no answer. The worse takeaway experience ever. Avoid this restaurant.

This place absolutely demolished the art of Chinese food and the beautiful culture that goes with this. Thoroughly disappointed and should be ashamed.

Ordered tonight and all I can say is not even my teenager would eat his. Both rice dishes dry. Salt and Pepper chicken no taste what so ever. Not the first time it’s been a let down but it will be the last. When you call up to complain about the dry tasteless food the lady is not interested as they have already taken your money. Never again.
