The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

Good quantity for money charged however too much use of tumeric in every dish made them taste all the same as tumeric was overpowering all other spices.

Mixed review: waiting time was good roughly around 15-20 minutes via deliveroo and the portions are always good with this restaurant. Once we started eating, we noticed little hair shavings in the food. So gutted as this was a good Chinese takeaway. Won't be ordering from here again.

Food can only be described as salt and salt only. I’ve ordered for a specific time and it was late and then everything on my plate was so salty I couldn’t even eat it.

It's been a bit ropey for years, but reading the reviews I thought I'd check ok the Credit Card Situation and nothing has changed. Dismissive, rude staff as ever. "Bank transfer or cash only". Someone ought to put a call in to HMRC methinks...

delivery took 2hrs 20mins but was told 1 hr. Food cold. Not ordering again from here. Ruined xmas eve.

Superb prawns in breadcrumbs. Good sized portion & really well cooked. Chow mein was also really tasty. Would definitely recommend this chinky - 5 star!

Please give a proper portion of ribs.Epecially at that price.Not little one inch ribs.The public are not stupid.

A good Chinese takeaway, that i think has new owners. So, I was unsure of the food at first, but that was unfounded. Try the ribs or the large spring rolls, either meat or veg

AVOID! Waited over 2 hours for our order. When we rang for the third time (after being told it was on its way), they refused a refund or to deliver.

Very lovely people and nice food .. can be a bit to salty at times. Nice clean place and room to sit down and wait.

Waited 3 hrs, was told after 1 hr only be 10 minutes and waited a further 2 hrs. Food turned up with no apologies but by then we had ordered another take away. We phoned them over 400 times with no answer. The worse takeaway experience ever. Avoid this restaurant.

Been using winghouse for years, my first European chinese, why is it shut down ?

We moved to the area last year and still haven’t found a Chinese takeaway that we all love. Tonight, We wanted to try out a new one. We chose wing li - and WHAT A MISTAKE! We ordered £47 worth of food for the family, which included sweet and sour chicken balls, two lots of chicken fried rice, satay chicken, chips, egg fried rice, bbq sauce, and a pancake roll. The satay chicken was just a bunch of chicken in a sweet and sour like sauce with lots of veg and little bits of peanut - only had hints of a real satay chicken. The chips were like fries, not proper Chinese chips, while the sweet and sour sauce itself looked curdled with little bits (not sure what they are) floating around in it. The “egg” fried rice tasted like just boiled rice fried for a couple of seconds. The quotation marks on the egg in the previous sentence was because the egg fried rice didn’t have any egg in it. The pancake roll was mushy as well as very very salty. And finally the bbq sauce was like a thick balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Nothing like bbq sauce whatsoever. To us, it was an absolute waste of almost £50 and I would not recommend whatsoever. I ended up giving the dog the egg fried rice and even he didn’t eat it - so that’s really saying something! However, if you do order from here, I hope your food was better than ours, or you’ll be going really hungry! Ps: the pic is of the sweet and sour sauce 🤮
