The worst Chinese in Luton! Food was bland and greasy

Placed an order through their website and took £50 from my bank only to be told that they are not delivering and will have to wait a week for a refund. Absolute joke and the worst customer service, no apology or valid explanation as to why their website is still allowing people to place orders!

Best Place of Luton. I love it so much keep up the good food.

The food was cold and fried in old Oil it was so horrible we get very sick after. Not fresh food very disappointed.

Lucky House has been given 0 hygiene score by Food Standard Agency after assessment on 10 November 2022. I'm not going again until they improve minimum 4.

Probably the worst food I’ve ever had. Mixed meat chow mein in sauce had prawns in which wasn’t stated on Uber eats in which I am allergic and had some chicken balls that looked and tasted like the were cooked in the hell fire of Mordor. Honestly gross

Great value for money, big portions, very tasty and hand delivered by the owner! Spoke to the restaurant at time of order, gent on the phone was very friendly and arranged a change to a dish ordered on Deliveroo with no issues. Short wait from order to delivery- my new go to for this cuisine from now on. Thank you

Service was beyond acceptable and lied to constantly about delivery will never order again

Order came one hour later then it was supposed to. The sweet and sour dishes were neither sweet or sour, they tested old and like it was cooked in reused oil, it did not taste as chicken or pork at all! The rice was uncooked and noodles was dry and tasted old! Never again , money wasted for nothing as food went in the bin!

I've had a few lovely takeaway from here but last night was awful. We spent £45 there was no sauce with duck and pancakes or salt and pepper squid. Also the squid was so tough and over cooked. Bbq ribs no flavour and just tasted frozen. Very disappointed for the money we spent not even a free pack of crackers

This restaurant is disgusting I order my food it took 2 hours to come and even though I had the correct address he delivered to the wrong and I wasn’t going to feed my child soggy food I would never ever order form here again. If your ordering form here then just remember you food is not going to come till the next day by the looks of it.

Ordered on uber eats, took almost 2 hours to receive a notification that the food was on the way, another 45 minutes to be delivered when it's a 10 minute drive. Requested an update many times and was ignored. Had to reheat half of the food and unfortunately the noodles were so mushy and overcooked already that I didn't dare heat it anymore. When I called the resturant they said they could not give a refund and apparently as they were busy it meant everything was slow- why accept the orders if you can't handle them, also how busy can it be on a random wednesday night? Would have just preferred to have been told they couldn't do it than sit around for almost 3 hours with repeated failed attempts at communication with the resturant to finally receive cold, inedible food.

Spent £200 for a large family gathering and when I got home lots was missing. The restaurant kept arguing it was correct. 8 dishes were missing! Never will I go there again.

I'm actually very disappointed. Ordered with uber eat, waiting was 1h which is okay. Food came and it was absolutely tasteless. The sweet-sour sauce was disgusting, no consistency, looked like water with red paint. While trying the food had the feeling that someone who has no idea how to prepare Chinese food made it while reading a recipe online. Spend £40 and all went to the bin. I'm never going to order from that place again.

I mean if you could give 0 stars I would. Ordered but never tracked. Called the company said they don't use uber drivers even though u have brought from them 3 times before and it tracked. So when I called an hour after, they said its just leaving now give 15 minutes. I gave 30 and still never came. Tried to say it was delivered and didn't believe me when I said call the driver and ask what they look like. They said black female. I am white. He said so sorry. Driver is out but will reorder and send in 30-45 minutes and his manager was coming to speak to me and also collect the money from wrong address. 45 minutes went, called company said it been delivered to a party. I mean it's lockdown who's having a party??? When I asked where driver and manager was they said both gone home. I don't know how they could this time not check it went to the correct address but its a lie. They should have called really when there. I don't think this was ever sent. When my mum took over the call because I was so mad. The man denied ever saying his manager was coming out. To top it off it was my birthday and this just ruined the whole day. I am still so mad!!! All they said is not our business contact uber. Disgusting man couldn't care less. And it was all lies. The amount of times I called. This was in the space of 3 hours!!

I used to love eating here. The food was so fresh and tasty. They closed the dining in part a couple of years ago and never reopened it. Had a take away from here a couple of days ago, and it was not nice at all. The best curd was very dry and the sesame praend on toast was over cooked and cold. Very disappointing

Do not order from here! We waited over 2 hours for our order to then be cancelled without telling us Apparently this was because we had called the restaurant several times to find out when our food would be here. The customer service is appalling, staff are rude and unprofessional. I have never been so disgusted! If I could rate less then I would have! I have been a continuous customer for many years but will never EVER order from here again!

Don’t do it. Currently been 2 hours and 40 mins, been told driver still has it, after the driver apparently left 45 mins ago. Spoke to manager, won’t refund as have to request with Uber but yet there isn’t a option as the driver is from the restaurant. To finish the story they have cancelled the order and said unwell Just don’t do it guys, they are useless!!

2 hours for dinner to travel 1.1 miles and it’s still not here. 4 phone calls in which the driver is stuck in traffic, on the way, round the corner. There is no traffic! It’s a 1 mile straight road! The food here is good but the kids are starving, they are clearly lying, and this is ridiculous. Lost a good customer in us by not just telling the truth. Don’t bother if you are actually hungry.

Discovered this place during lock down when our local was closed and not delivering. Ordered three times now and enjoyed on every occasion. Would highly recommend the salt and pepper chips and beef in peppercorn sauce. Only complaint is that portions do appear to be a bit on the small size

We've been ordering on a regular basis Chinese food from them. Any time when we wanted Chinese this restaurant was our first and only option cause they did it right and we loved it. The chef used to be great! he knew that we are loyal customers and he always looked after us. But in the last few orders something happened and they changed the chefs or something like that and the food they send us was super greasy and burnt, and the portions were so small and you could feel that they didn't did it with love and care. We haven't even finished eating and we throw it in the bin... but we said that maybe that was just a bad day.. but after some time we ordered again and again the same problem, they forgot to send us something or the sauce was missing each time something was wrong. I am so unhappy with the changes they made. We are not going to order from them again. So disappointed. 😔

A mixed meat dry chow mien with no meat in it, just noodlesA special rice with that was really just riceSalt and chilli ribs, 5 small ribs 1 of which was all gristle, packed out with onions, terrible I have been using Lucky House for over 3 years now,It has become clear that the owners are trying to give their customers less but still charging the same money. I have reported this to Just Eat.Complete waste of money. I will never use them again.

We collected a take away tonight and the food was utterly disgusting. The rice was so hard, almost as though it’s been re cooked a few times, beef chow main was really chewy and the salt and pepper chicken was rock hard. £17 down the drain and we would never, ever return back

Stinking and cold wouldn’t waste me money there ever again the chow main is more like spaghetti the place needs to be shut down.. vile

Takeaway ordered through Just Eat and arrived missing one meal. Notified restaurant straight away to which we were informed it would be sent out again however the meal still hadn't arrived an hour later. Contacted the restaurant again requesting a refund for the missing meal but this was declined. Meal eventually arrived but we did not accept as we had shared the one meal that had arrived as we didn't want it to spoil. Refund requested and granted through Just Eat (wouldn't have gotten anything if we ordered directly from the restaurant). The meal that arrived was satisfactory but we won't be ordering from this restaurant again due to their terrible customer service. Avoid.

Ordered a takeaway from here, my husband phoned them 10minutes after their initial delivery time was due to be, got told it would be another 45minutes. An hour later still no food (had been 2hours since we ordered at this point!) and they weren't answering the phone so we requested a refund on Just Eat. 10minutes later a rude delivery driver turns up with freezing cold food which my husband wouldn't even take in the door. The driver said he'd refund it. Then got contacted to say they wouldn't refund it and we only got a refund because of it being through Just Eat. Will never order from them again, what horrendous service.

Soup was very salty. Sweet and sour was more salty than sweet and sour. Prawn crackers were given in a plastic bag which made them chewy and not crunchy. Food arrived quickly and earlier than anticipated. Won’t order from here again due to quality issues

Special fried rice everything tasted Boiled no flavour I couldn’t eat it as the prawn were strange tasting. Sorry I really don’t know how else to describe it ... I’ve ordered in the past and was good/ok.. Won’t be ordering again

Order was wrong and was cold. I haven’t eaten any of it as it was cold I’ve eaten from here before and was good tonight it was late and was poor and un edible, I rung them up and they didn’t seem to care was not helpful at all I feel they made it really difficult to try and resolve the problem which resulted in it not being sorted and very disappointed customers who will not be ordering from Lucky House again

Great tasting food! The delivery service is great. The food comes hot. We've been to the restaurant once and the service and food was excellent! Really nice people and great customer service. They are very attentive.

Black bean chicken and szechuan chicken was made from chicken thighs meat not a a breast meat. Meat wasn't prepared well a lot of cartilages.

Plain, tasteless and chicken was dry. Egg fried rice was more like white boiled rice but cold and clupmy

The food was very watery and bland, would not order again.

Chicken balls were cold and the batter was only cooked on the outside. The ribs were nothing but bone and fat. No mushrooms in the beef and mushroom overall waste of money

We live above a pub, which confused the delivery driver a little but the food was hot and fresh and the changes I’d asked for had been made. The prawn crackers were superb!

The food is good usually but it was really really salty and I don't mind salt so shows how salty it was couldn't eat most of it ☹️

When answering the door the delivery guy rudely said what's wrong with you face (I had a face mask on) he then became rude and moaned continuously about paying with a £50 when this was clearly stated on the notes to the restaurant that this was the only cash we had which resulted in being short changed as he had to give it in loose change and he told me next time to go to the shop and change the note

Poor quality and chicken in curry was gristly and chewy. Sauce in curry and pot of curry sauce was orange in colour and had a strange taste. Would not order from this restaurant again unfortunately

The food was hot and good. Although there are only eight chicken balls in a portion, compared to the ten or more other Chinese restaurants, they were very large, so the equivalent. We were very happy with the food.
