Tang's in Luton

It's a great restaurant must visit place and a great portion size recommended to go for once and flavor is nice

Tangs are consistently excellent. Lovely customer service, and I've always enjoyed whatever I've ordered off the menu. The chilli oil is brilliant as is the hot and sour soup....😊😊😊

Food quality has definitely dropped from this place… specially the Chinese menu. Ordered last night as I lost hope from before. I thought I’d give them one more go, unfortunately they cemented why lost faith in their food in the first place. Ordered sweet & sour chicken balls (do not get!) cooked in burnt oil, could taste it through the dough. Had to bin it! Yukkk. The pukka pies were not “pukka” at all. They were dried out from inside and possibly kept over night in the heated display window. My mrs fell sick! Chips were re cooked it seemed. Heart breaking to see my local loose it’s once great reputation. Won’t be coming back!

Went here after a very long time had really high hopes it was awful the chips were really undercooked and very greasy it’s a shame cause they use to be really nice :( will not be going back

Been coming here since I was a kid, the quality of the food is great. Sad how I can’t go more frequently, but if I’m able to get there I’d go 100%. Customer service is great, make you feel welcomed even though it’s not a restaurant. Decent prices with the portion sizes you get. Overall recommend

Greasy oily rubbish , the fish tasted old and the chips were cooked in dirty oil . First and def the last time i will go there .

As good as I couldn't remember from years ago Chinese food so it's like it's reheated and has a funny taste and the curry sauce tasted like it got pepper in it chips were okayish but you just have to make your own mind up

I have been eating from this shop for more than 13 years. Their food quality & taste is amazing. The staff are so friendly. Excellent food and service.

I've been visiting this place for many years and I've always loved the food, which I think is generous in portion size and reasonably priced. I've never been disappointed with anything on the menu. One thing to prepare for is that Tangs is cash-only so you won't be able to pay by card.

We use to visit this chip shop / Chinese take away every for for years. But ever since new owners come it’s gone right down hill. Chips are not the same. Fish over fried or re frying old ones. Dropping in oil. Sorry have been using happy friends on marsh road as this is what your food use to be like. Won’t be coming back sorry

This used to by my Fish and Chip spot decades ago when I was a little kid. Used to love the crispy battered fish and chips and also the lush pancake rolls but recently I haven't gone back. Felt let down after I gave the place several visits but it might be a change in management but the food isn't same. The food has gone off sogy and oily and the once lush pancake roll has little flavour. Still I have hope and Tang's should be as good as the old days

Been visiting this take away for years and it serves good fish and chips and outstanding Chinese curry. Nice friendly guy who owns and serves. Worth a visit 10/10

Although i would class the food here as average,i have to admit i have nothing but admiration for its continuity.I recall visiting this chip shop in 1983 when i was a young lad.....and various visits throughout the 80s as i worked a few hundred metres away....food back then was excellent.I remember calling here regularly on a Thursday evening after playing for the local pool team and their takeaway Chinese Chicken Curry was exceptional,chips ere very good and service prompt also.....i recently called and things were not so hot,food still enjoyable,service still spot on....but things had dipped since my regular visits throughout my younger years........visited August 2017.

Food is good and in great variety. Wait times vary from 1 - 5 mins or so. The staff are friendly and will customise your meal if you desire such as by removing bean sprouts from your Chow Mein (which I might add is brilliant) . The chips are lovely and chunky and great with their creamy curry sauce, highly recommended. In my opinion the; local fish and chip shop/ Chinese takeaway shop in Luton.

The food from here is brilliant and staff are very friendly. Staff are fast at preparing your order. Sometimes they even pop in a freebie. There is a period during the day in which the shop is closed so it is best to check opening times to avoid disappointment.

My local Chinese, I have eaten at A LOT of Chinese restaurants and take away restaurants, and I always find myself regretting for not have ordering from here. If you like Chinese food I would recommend this place. They also sell fish and chips. The only downside is that they do not accept card payments.

One of the best Chinese Takeaways in Luton, the food is tasty, hot and the service is always with a smile, and the fish and chips are good as well!

Although i am unsure what this great little chinese fish and chip shop use to be called in the early eighties,i have used it consistently since.Both the Chinese food side of things as well as the fish and chips side are all of a really decent standard.Their chicken fried rice is exceptional as too is their Chinese chicken curry.We really rate the food here and would recommend Tangs very highly.
