Jade House in Luton

Had an uber delivery the chicken satay was disgusting... the chicken was dry, hard around the edges, looked shrivelled. There was not tast to the chicken, then felt like cardboard with ribbons of string through it to eat. The skewers were hanging out the side of the foil container. 4 skewers £8 it was so bad I didn't even want to give it to my dog.

Top notch takeaway food never disappoints I have been going there for my Chinese takeaway food for over 15yrs. I fully endorse and recomend their food cuisine. Well done guys from a more than satisfied customer. If we're to say 2 x Chicken & Sweetcorn Soups, 2 bags of Prawn Crackers, 2 Pancake Rolls, Corner house Special fried rice, Chicken Curry, Beef Chowmein, a portion of Sweet & Sour Prawn Balls! Then the young Lady woukd automatically know who I am 😊 They also take orders over the phone along with delivery companies that fill fill your order.

Most horrible food ever ordered through Uber eats. Called the restaurant and the guys didn’t want to know . Every dish bar the chips smelled and was inedible. The restaurant when complained. Shrugged their shoulders and pushed us to Uber eats to complain. Avoid the restaurant if you don’t want to be disappointed.

I ordered online my salt a pepper ribs was so dry I couldn't eat them. Ribs are not even suppose to look like that. It also had a funny taste to it. I ordered 1/4 aromatic duck they clearly are watering down the hoisin sauce it was so liquidy. I also orders the beef in blackbean sauce. Good was just horrible I would definitely not recommend. Also when I called them they just hung up on me and when I called again they wouldn't answer my phone call. Stay away from this place. There are better Chinese places than this. I have some more photos but dor some reason they are not loading

Been going here since the beginning of time!! Great service, friendly staff, reasonable cost and delicious!!. I don't know of any Chinese takeaway who has a better Chinese curry. The chicken is real chunks and not the 'bouncy'chicken that we've had from other Chinese. Menu isn't extensive but what it does have is well made.

Well named takeaway. It has an excellent choice of foods. It is usually good quality and very tasty. The chilli and garlic chicken starter is amazing. It is advisable to ring ahead or use one of the food apps. There is limited parking around the shop.

My local Chinese takeaway and I like everything about this place. Friendly staff, good food, good size menu and very affordable price. I’m suprised by some of the bad reviews but I think people may just have unreasonable expectations of what is a value for money cheap and cheerful takeaway.

First time trying and I won’t be back. Hard grainy rice, tough over cooked chicken, the worst salt and pepper chips I’ve had. For the price I expected decent tasting food, no one wants to spend money and not feel pleased with their purchase. One of if not the worst Chinese foods I’ve had in Luton.

Great food fab service well priced

For a birthday family get together we decided to order a Chinese for over £125 it was collected and after opening none of my party of 7 could eat what was staring us in the face, chilli beef was bright red 🤔 chips overcooked and hard, chicken dry, beef in chow min was grey in colour, lemon chicken was hard fried with no chicken inside, s&s sauce was jelly in texture all rice ordered was hard and dry not cooked properly, I apologised to my party and we ordered the same from elsewhere and what a difference Today I called and explained my disappointment in the food explained that lids were replaced immediately and I would happily return all food ordered for them to see for themselves in the hope of good customer service and compromisation on their part, instead a barrage of abuse down the phone and then hanging up on me, so letting all future potential customers read reviews as I was shocked at the amount of the reviews that have been written complaining of the same things I am. I will never recommend this take away neither use it ever again as for my £125 keep it corner house as Karma has its own way of dealing with situations like this.

Great service tasty food Best in luton

Went back after a year away!!! Due to the large price increase. Had the Duck and the trimmings, also seaweed, and prawn crackers. Sad to say the Duck was dry and I am sure it was microwaved heated. I could hear the microwave go pin. Pin. Pin. It was in the past very just as you expected, crispy duck, not dry lump of dry duck, thank god I got extra sauce. I was asked if I wanted the Duck whole or shredded - took shredded was a mistake - possibly, go for unshredded and your experience may be better than mine........... spent £18.00 pounds tonight. A total waste of money. Put it in the bin. Front of house good, Just want you to spent money on very poor food. I will not be back. Sadly my return was a very poor experience.

Moved away from the area but decided to venture over there to see if it was as good as it was before and am pleased to say it's still excellent food and great value.

This will always be my favourite Chinese takeaway. I hope they never change their chow me in or shop suey recipe. The chop suey is second to none!

Used to go here as a kid, once dressed in a Superman costume and all of the staff went along with the act. A huge fan of all Asian food so this is a top shelf for me. Not in the best area but all of that disappears the second you walk in. Lovely staff, nice food, decent sized restaurant.

egg fried rice is hard and dry on top of the container it seems keeping warm so long noodle taste weird and burnt don't like it at all

This is one of my favourite Chinese takeouts in Luton. It has a very decent menu and also the food is fantastic with generous portions and competitive prices.

So far this has got to be my go to Chinese takeaway place. Mouth watering food cooked to perfection. Writing this is making me hungry for their meal. :-)

Food is always the best quality, best cuts of meat and even though a little more expensive it's well worth the extra couple of pound for a lovely meal.....

ordered a take away for the first time today and was marvellous , beautifully cooked chicken , vegetables, rice and sesame prawns. it was delivered quickly and was hot . will certainly order from them again.

The food was hot and fresh and served quickly. Most of the time, we were the only guests at the restaurant so there was not much of an atmosphere. The restaurant was quite dark and dull, and could do with modernising. The cost for 4 starters and 4 main courses with three drinks was £75.

5 stars as always for eating in the restaurant as well as taking out. Very friendly staff & delicious food, best Chinese in the Luton & Dunstable area and I wouldn’t use another

went here for a meal on 27th November and noticed a big change in the place no more table cloths and not as warm , ordered 3 lots of starters each ( 4 of use ) to come out at separate times but the lot came out together which filled the table to over flowing and could not enjoy the food as to much messing around plus there is such a limited range of drinks 1 larger and 1 cider both old boring brands this place needs a good make over

The service was atrocious. The Chinese guy looked like he was high on coke or speed. I saw the waiter hand washing the glasses, waited along time for sub standard EXPENSIVE food. As I was going to the toilet I saw the door to thw kitchen open and I nearly got sick, food all over the floor and between the pans where they were frying. Cross contamination not important in this place. Also, the toilet didn’t flush.. really run down, rip off place. Am surprised the EHO hasn’t closed this place down

Visited the JH on Saturday- it really is a delight with great service and excellent food . Judy the manager was speaking to each table , which had lovely fresh flowers on. The food is authentic and the business has been run by the same family for over 40 years. The paper wrapped prawns are great , as was the sizzling pepper filet steak. Best Chinese in Luton . The Jade House is located in Leagrave a suburb of Luton. The restaurant has a wide variety of authentic Chinese Szechuan dishes available at a reasonable price. The service is good and friendly. There is also takeaway available.

The kebabs are amazing. The chinese food can be good one time and very average the next. The lady on the phone and counter has always been friendly.

Always great food. Customer service is second to none. I would not eat anywhere else for Chinese food. Great selection and the owner made me something not on the menu. The prawn on toast is my favourite with the steam sea-bass and ginger and spring onion lobster.

If your looking for a nice family meal look no further. We did a take away. Phoned the order through and was ready for pick up as they said. Lovely people and delicious meal.

Had a pick up time of 8:10 was kept waiting 35 minuites no apology wouldnt order again.

We were in the area visiting with friends and booked the Jade house for Friday 27th Oct. When we arrived it actually wasn't very busy at all and we would have gotten a table no problem without the booking. The wine menu is pretty large and varied. The food menu is also varied and interesting. We enjoyed 6 different main courses with rice and noodles and each dish had it's own distinct flavour and was a good sized portion. Will return if ever in the area again and would definitely recommend.

Where do I begin... I entered the House of Jade after a long days work to be manipulated by the Mother Hen of the restaurant. I just wanted a light meal with my girlfriend so we ordered a few 'small' dishes as the Mother Hen stated they were. Then what happened can be described as nothing but a sheer travesty... along came a whole bloody duck accompanied with another 7 rather large dishes, which I must mention we fed to our families for the next two days. Needless to say, the bill amassed to an absurd amount and I was left completely ripped off as the Mother Hen chuckled to herself, and bantered with us to gain fake trust(mean while rubbing her hands together smirking) "ya wan more?" DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!

Beautiful family run Chinese takeaway with good prices

My family haven't stopped saying about how impressed they are with Jade House. I'm glad I booked a table for the 8 of us though as when we arrived Saturday evening, the restaurant was packed; it was just so busy - really goes to show just how popular it is! Even though the restaurant was heaving with customers, the staff were so welcoming and friendly and the service was still outstanding. The food was fresh, nicely presented, piping-hot and extremely tasty. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. So impressed with the service. Such a great atmosphere too & my family spent a very enjoyable 4 hours at the restaurant. The 8 of us were even offered a drink on the house, which was also very lovely of the staff. Will definitely eat here again and my family & I will definitely be recommending it to others.

This used to be our favourite restaurant but had not been for a while. Had heard mixed reviews since the original owners retired. So, on arrival it was very busy. We waited but were ignored. Luckily our friends were already there so we made our way to the table. We were not offered drinks and had several attempts trying to catch someone's eye for some service. Sadly this continued all night. We asked a waiter if he could take our order and he said he could only clear tables and do drinks!!Service was extremely slow, we constantly had to ask for drinks and had to chase up a missing second course. One waitress complained that 'it was busier than English New Year' and she clearly was not happy to be there. On the plus side the food was good. However when you go out for a meal you want good food, service and a happy atmosphere. Staff were clearly under pressure and not happy and it did have an impact on our night.

We have been coming here for over 20 years for all kinds of special occasions and have great memories of family meals, birthdays, engagements etc here, however this visit will be our last. We were disappointed by the quality of the food, the menu is overpriced and the service although friendly was below par. Gone are the table cloths, the stunning dish presentations inc the sculptured veg and the atmosphere that made this the best Chinese restaurant for miles. Now we have a deep fried starter that comprised 2 burnt spare ribs, 1 slice (quartered) fat saturated prawn toast, 4 deep fried tiny mini veg spring roll and a spoonful of dry seaweed for a mere £12.50. Ridiculous. The duck was fine, but the main dishes we dry, the rice almost non existent and the Char Sui Pork was served on a bed of Sliced cucumber for some unknown reason. the plate was awash with cold cucumber and a spoon of pork in the centre. The final bill for the 2 of us for this disappointing meal including a small diet coke and bottle of water £60. felt ripped off and completely disappointed as we expected so much as we always have. We will not be returning in the near future.

The food in the jade house is 1st class if you like chinnese food .The staff are very friendly and the resturant is quite clean .To sum up the meal we had there was one of the best meals we have had eating out this year

Fantastic food and service nowhere else in Bedfordshire can touch it. Take away and eating in you cannot go wrong!!
