This was hands down the worst Chinese and Thai food we’ve ever experienced. Thai Green Curry: Completely flavorless. Chicken Chow Mein: Bland, with not a single piece of chicken in sight. Chicken Curry: Chewy, unappetising meat that was far from authentic. Spicy Chicken in Peppercorn Salt: Over-fried, dry chicken with no discernible peppercorn flavor—just bland and disappointing. Lamb Ribs in Peppercorn Salt: Absolutely revolting. The lamb was overly precooked, falling off the bone, and riddled with gristle. Again completely flavourless. It’s no wonder the place was empty during our visit—not a single customer walked in. For £36.80, the quality and taste were utterly unacceptable. This food does a disservice to both Thai and Chinese cuisine. I’m sharing this honest review in the hope that the business will take feedback on board and strive to improve by offering more authentic Thai and Chinese cuisine. P.S. Four of us tried to eat the food, but it was so bad that we all ended up throwing it away—leftovers included. I hate wasting food, but in this case, we had no choice. The quality was simply awful.

Terrible service, ordered delivery, waiting 1hr 45 minutes and there's no sign of it, called them and they go the order didn't get picked up they will send it now, I wish I could cancel but my son was waiting for it. Never ordering from here ever again

I ordered chowmein with beef and chicken, the chicken seems boiled nd smells bery bad, the beef tasted funny, overall a very bad experience in terms of food, the staff was polite and friendly

I ordered Singapore fried rice and crispy chilli beef, and the quality was not great. The meat that was in the rice was measly and chewy, this dish did not taste authentic. The crispy beef looked and tasted chewy / overdone. It appeared stale to me. I would not recommend either dish. Edit: due to lower delivery fees I thought I'd give this place another chance, ordering different dishes. Do not bother, this food does not taste anything like authentic Chinese food!! The beef curry was absolutely nothing like a Chinese chip shop curry, the sauce is really dark brown and had hardly any beef or veg included.

I just finished an amazing meal at Gao Express, and I have to say, this place is a gem for anyone who loves Chinese and Thai cuisine! Just had a delivery. Absolutely dreadful food. After a couple of mouthfuls and a pint of water to wash away the taste, I'm now making myself a sandwich! If I could give minus stars I would.

I ordered a meal tonight and not only was nothing like the picture, but it smelled, looked and tasted like crap. This is the first time I end up throwing a delivery in the bin. The woman I spoke to said Deliveroo would refund me but they didn’t, I also wasted time chatting with them twice. £20 wasted in the bin and no dinner! A total loss, what a shame.

Wow, how terrible the food was, the chicken was also stale and smelly, noodles overcooked , dry and tasteless,the curry was fried chicken pieces in a disgusting gravy, the crackers full of dirty smelling oil, never again, i don't even think this food is Chinese, maybe they should watch a YouTube video to learn how to cook Do you really think your customers are that niave and don't know anything about food? Come on not everyone in luton comes from an illiterate village

I had gao express yesterday on my way back from work, I got sesame prawn on toast some chicken balls and sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice.i absolutely loved it. They had amazing staff and service was quick. Definitely recommend it for people craving traditional Chinese food.

If there was a dinner are in the place it would have been awesome even though the food is super awesome. Gao special, Chicken and mushroom with rice is my favorite. And there Meal box deal is awesome just for £7 and that includes a drink as well.

Ram was very excellent he made my day and made sure I got my food order safely , I requested a chilli oil later because I forgot to order that so he re-delivery that to me , the food is tasty best Chinese in Luton , highly recommended

Best experience I've ever had by far! All week we've been ordering for 40 and they're the only ones who were truly up for the challenge. It was delicious, it arrived warm, they were meticulously organised and had the nicest service. We ordered basically everything on they're menu and everything was as delicious as the other. The portions and even the sauces were very generous. Personally, we loved the spring rolls.

Employees need to keep the kitchen area clean and be mindful that the public can see past the counter. It’s a massive put off. Please clean your kitchen space

I have finally found a halal chinese place after years! We ordered a few items having zero expectation and was honestly blown away at the dishes and the quality of the food. Definitely highly recommended!

We ordered a home delivery from Gao for the first time yesterday. We were delighted with the food. Very big portions and all lovely. We had the Gao special rice which is enough for 2 people and a meal in itself. I had vegan beef in black bean sauce. Amazingly yummy! We had chicken curry too, great. Mum had the chips which were hot and crispy. Thank you Gao!

Noodles soggy, food did not taste freshly made. Ended up throwing half of it away. Should have looked at reviews first. (Owner - Just eat order number 222500391 just in case you want to check)

if there is anything less than 1 i will give to these bunch of people with poor customer service. They could not deliver my food in 2 hours, not even a courtesy to call that they will not, when i eventually called, no apology, no empathy for an hungry man

Extremely rich and tasty food, order from just eat though to get a free egg fried rice along with your chicken with black bean curry. Rich flavour, perfectly cooked lamb ribs. Fluffy and fat chips and a flavourful curry sauce.

Food was delicious and the flavours are amazing. I highly recommend this food it’s not too expensive and the portions are huge, so it’s great value for money the atmosphere and people are also amazing so I highly recommend it’s also HALAL which is great.
