The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

since this new owner took over i think the curry got bad and this is a waist of money for a takeaway,(mc donalds here we go)

Food is always nice and never greasy. I would rather not order chinese if Wongs isn't open. their beef curry is the best i have had

Had a delivery this evening of Special Chow Mein, Spring Roll and half portion of Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls .. all cooked to perfection all very tasty and delivered hot ! Excellent food!!

Fabulous food consistently and good portion sizes with loads of flavour. Can't fault them and always great service with polite staff

I’ve just moved to Norwich and have been hunting for a good Chinese takeaway. I’ve tried 4 or 5 so far and last night tried Happy View on Ketts Hill. I am genuinely so happy I found it- everything we ordered was delicious! The food wasn’t greasy, it all tasted super fresh, the prawns and meat were very good quality, the vegetables were crunchy, the sauces were super flavourful and the portions were generous. Super happy all round and they now have one new regular customer!

We will go again, definitely. Basic but quite nice dining area. Heaters were on. Local free parking after 6pm and for hour and a half before 6pm. Outside is half an hour before 6, ideal for picking up a takeaway. We had the buffet, you request what you want and they bring it out. Food was really good. Service was good too. Update they no longer do the buffet. No worries, the set menu is a little cheaper and enough for us. So updated with recent visit for takeaway. All good and was prepared quickly. This is our go to Chinese.

Went for my girls 22nd birthday, food was good but the service was not! Got told they had no bottled ciders so they had coke instead only to see one being delivered to a table near us! When I questioned the lady said she will find out what happened, only for a very rude waiter come over and say “we only one flavour but not the other” I said we didn’t ask for a flavour we just asked for a kopenburg! There was no apology nothing!

Ha estado viniendo aquí por 30 años, aunque no tan recientemente. ¡Entré y pedí lo de siempre, y me dijeron abruptamente que era en efectivo por pedidos inferiores a 10 libras! Nada impreso en ninguna parte, y no estoy seguro de que el proveedor de servicios lo permita, no lo hace en mi tienda! Dada la conversión a pagos con tarjeta/teléfono realizada por la mayoría durante el confinamiento, la mayoría de las personas ahora pagan con tarjeta, sin embargo, había muchas alternativas cercanas que sí aceptaban tarjetas, así que me fui... y comí en otro lugar. Lo que significa serendipitosamente que no volveré a la freidora, ya que he encontrado mejor comida y valor cerca. Es una pena, un miembro del personal, una regla y un cliente menos.

Absolutely best Chinese around, been ordering for years. Very very reliable on quality and taste! I can’t remember ever having a bad meal to be honest

Have been using Tasty House for 5 years on our holidays and always had good meals. Not so last night. Soggy lemon chicken, chewy prawns toast, sticky fried rice and congealed chow mein. Warmed up food?

Great Chinese, we visit this restaurant for a takeaway regularly and never had any issues. Would recommend!

The main of black bean and beef is over £9 yet it was delivered in the shallow smaller plastic container, not a deep container, that a main portion should be, really small and not a lot of beef, but tasted ok. Satay chicken was dry, stringy and clearly reheated. Chinese chips, the same, not fresh and reheated. Really poor and having ordered from here for years they've lost me as a customer.

Amazing food. Never greasy and heavy. Always boiling hot. Amazing Service.
