The buffet is great value and very good food/service!

Usually come here all the Time today the messed my whole sec9nd half of my order resulting in me not eating and leaving very disappointed

I called to order food and was told to wait a while, but after waiting for 10 minutes, there was no response and the call was hung up without any reply.

Wonderful chinese food and a lovely dining experience at Golden House.

I was in a party of 6 who were celebrating Mother’s Day. The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived, very attentive and within minutes had drinks at our table while we made our menu choices. It wasn’t long before an incredible array of starters had arrived, followed by duck and then our mains. Every item was piping hot, very tasty and plentiful - extra food was also supplied when a couple of dishes had run out. The value was excellent and all 6 of us left with appetites satisfied.

Chinese food, perfect amount. Ideal way of trying lots of different dishes at a reasonable price.

I had a voucher code to use for £10. I had issues paying so had to go back and start again. When I paid eventually, it said my voucher had been used and then took the payment. Which costs me another £10. I’d like a refund for this amount. My voucher code was CD9ZKSBLDH6S34DB

Me and partner just moved to the area. We have come here a few times . The food has been great every time.

Noodles and rice were pretty good, but the salt and pepper ribs were dreadful, tiny little chewy lumps of gristle.

Placed an order for delivery which was accepted, it went past the expected delivery time so I requested an update. I then received a call to say the order will still be another 45mins which would have taken us up to 10pm. Agreed for the order to be cancelled but payment has still been taken. Now trying to get that back. Will never order from here again. A phone call when the order was accepted to say it couldn’t have been fulfilled would have been better and we could have then chosen something else to eat.

What a joke ordered at 5:30. Called at 7 and they tell me to wait an hour. They must be joking. Good luck getting a refund.

It originally said it would be here in35-50 minutes and ended up getting here an hour and a half later, quite frankly it just isn’t good enough. And the food was cold

We went for New Year's eve and even though the restaurant was really busy, the staff were so attentive. Our tea cups are always filled to the top and didn't wait long for the food at all. So it's a cook to order buffet. We went with a 2 course meal option. For 2 people, you can choose 6 starters and 5 mains. For starters, I really like honey ribs, the sweet honey went really well with the crispy pork ribs, Thai chicken wings were good. It's a bit like sweet chilli sauce chicken. The chicken satay was tender thick pieces. The prawns were nice and crispy. I wasn't too keen on duck rolls and crab craws. The crab craws were pretty much just floor and no taste and the duck rolls were just pastry. For the main course, I like stir fry prawns with ginger and onion. The Mongolian lamb was spicy. Real spicy (as an Asian, I feel like the ancestors were disappointed in me 😭) Noodles were ok. The duck was lovely. I didn't like the squid, I felt it was too tough. Like it was really hard to chew. Overall, a lovely place, wouldn't mind going back to try different dishes. What we ordered: 2 courses for £17.90 per person Starter • honey ribs • duck rolls • prawns tempura • crab craws • chicken satay • Thai chicken wings Main • prawn ginger stir fry • Mongolian lamb • special chow mein • roasted duck in plum sauce • squid salt and pepper

I'd had no notifications at all so phoned the restaurant when they were already 10 mins past the advised delivery time. They said they weren't 'giving delivery times' because they were too busy. My food was then delivered 35 mins after my phone call.

Very good, friendly staff , hot food but a bit pricey

My food never arrived, your restaurant not only said it was open, but yet accepted the order, TOOK my payment. Then had the nerve to say my food had been delivered at 9:05pm. It was 9:20pm and I was still calling your establishment. Utterly disappointed with this service and will not be ordering from here again. I hope to have a refund as soon as possible and I will ensure that everyone locally understands the type of service your establishment provides to customers. I am disgusted and disappointed.

Take our money, mark the food as delivered but never contact us to say the food isn't coming or even refund us.. Absolutely terrible service. Been ordering from Golden House for years but will not be ordering again now.

Meat tender, little too many onions

Food was horrible. The lemon chicken tastes like it way deep fried 3 days ago and re heated. The chicken in black pepper sauce was inedible. We had to order a McDonald’s just so we could get something to eat.

First time ordering and will definitely order again. Hassle-free process and delivered on time. Food was lovely and enjoyed by all.

Put in the notes no onions in curry please…came full of onions again. They don’t read the notes. Regular customer going elsewhere from now on as they too many times they have got it wrong.

Been eating from here for years and years , and always been best Chinese in Peterborough, recently it's taken a massive downturn in quality of food , takeaway we ordered recently, same as ordered loads of times before was bland and tasteless, . Family meals we have had in restaurant has not been as good . Dont know if changed chef or what , me and whole family have spent thousands and thousands in that place . Unfortunately they will no longer get our buisness anymore . Food is nowhere near as good anymore, our last takeaway was last straw . Gone badly down hill .... such a shame

Ordered for collection, was told food was ready at 7pm, got to the restaurant and was told will be 10-15 minutes still, half hour later got my order, got home and the chilli crispy shredded beef was cold

The meal was hot which was a lovely surprise and change from many restaurants. This was the nicest Chinese meal we have had for ages. Definitely will be ordering again.

Food is pretty good,however customer service Is really poor. Staff are miserable and rude, never polite. This is my experience from eat ins and take away. Eat in you get ignored.

Crispy shredded beef was 10/10 ♥️ the rest was nice too ! Delivery really early and hadn’t got a notification it was on the way till about 30 minutes after it was delivered though lol luckily was in .

The app said that our food was with the driver at 8:30pm but after 15 mins it still hadn't arrived, my wife rang the restaurant and they said the driver left them 8 mins ago but our food still didn't turn up until gone 9pm the restaurant is 10 mins at most away from my house.

A long delivery time -70 mins was given,so they can say they were early? Chips were inedible because so hard, as if they'd been cooked several times. Prawns tough. Sauce fluorescent red. Charge for bags! Is there new owners? Not as good as usual

Food ordered almost 2hrs ago, still not arrived. Got fobbed off twice by the woman on the phone. Tried to contact just eat but that costs £6 apparently just for the call. Don't use this restaurant as they don't deliver but take your money. I will not be using just eat any more as the customer service is terrible. Foodhub from now on.

I ordered 3 things and was given chicken fried rice instead of egg fried rice so ended up eating meat as someone who doesn’t eat meat. I was offered a refund for the one dish that was wrong but no replacement. Very disappointed

Delivery was supposed to be between 8:30-8:50, didn’t receive my order until 9:50 after ringing 2 times and being told the driver was 3 minutes away both times. Asked for some money back for waiting so long and was told we had been compensated with something from the menu which we had not. The food came cold, was tasty but unfortunately this has put us off ordering again! Completely understand Friday nights are busy, but we paid £40 for a takeaway and expected the food quality to reflect this.

We’ve ordered before and we’ve never been disappointed from here. Food came earlier than expected, was hot, and so tasty! Chicken balls were the best we have had for a long time, will definitely be ordering again

Absolutely disgraceful customer service, waited over 2 hours for food (2hrs 32 minutes to be precise) phoned up to ask where my order was and was hung up on by the staff member on the call after expressing my concern over the huge wait time (not being rude just explaining how me and my friends have been waiting all night) - order was over £70 also… From my experience, I would not order again or recommend anyone to order from here This is my honest opinion, other people may have a positive experience however for me this was not the case. This is not an attack on the company just sharing my negative experience. Nothing was offered against the wait time such as a discount or free item which could have helped the situation as a offering of apology for the terrible customer service 1star

Order on uber eats been well over hour about 20 phone calls no food. To be told on way then to be told some reason drive is in Orton where we don't live then 10 mins away. Now nearly 10 at night no food no answer as to why. I want full refund so unhappy my partner has work at 4 in morning and hasn't even received his food. Over 10 times calling and going to voicemale. Even if by some miracle his food turns up going be stone cold and inedible. And asking for refund now and have phone put down on us and not answering.
