Always friendly and happy service. Food is excellent, big portions and very tasty.

Had a delivery from these last night and the food was lovely as always but the review is mainly for the honesty of the delivery driver , by mistake I gave the driver a £20 and £10 notes instead of 2x £10 notes , bill was £19.00 , closed the door and within a minute he was back knocking on the door giving me the £10 note back , what a person not many many would do that nowadays and I wouldn’t have had a clue . Top man 👏👏👏👏👏

Just had some chicken balls and some weren’t cook and raw. Man behind the counter just said but the edges are cooked. Stay away

The King prawn in the King prawn and cashew sauce I ordered yesterday was soooooooooo overcooked it dissolves once it hits the tongue, I wonder how that came to be.

Won't use again totally mucked order up .. in all we were charged £15.40 for 2 chow mein and 2 chips ...lucky Steve's is just round the corner will use them in future

Our favourite Chinese food near us, been ordering from here for years now. 4 star as they have chanced there shredded chilli beef and it's not as good.

not had a chinese takeaway for years as not always great. not from area but visiting and really enjoyed this. great value for money and good flavours. Not gloopy like some can be. nice bite and cannot complain at all.

Brilliant food not too greasy but today seemed to of been a different experience they forgot sweet and sour sauce tried ringing over 60 times with no answer because of this I shall be taking my business else where very poor customer service

Service was good but food was exceptionally bland and very greasy. Special chow mein had no veg in and no sauce either. Spring roll was just a roll of beansprouts and the curry sauce was flavourless and quite watery. Shame as Saturday takeaway night ruined 😪.

Food was hot fresh and on time prawn balls were amazing and the duck was superb would definitely recommend this Chinese

Best Chinese Restaurant in Town.

This was the first time we tried a take away from here and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely come back. Delivery was very quick.

I typically find that if I order a take away Indian or Pizza there is a level of consistency but a Chinese takeaway can be very hit and miss. I will order and I likely will not like one dish and something has not been prepared the way I hoped. I cannot add to the negative comments regarding delivery issues as I collected. Food was hot, not greasy, well priced and will come back again. Not had a take away for a while due to COVID restrictions. When I collected the front of house was wearing gloves, a face mask and had a partition from counter to ceiling to protect them and me.

Best Chinese food I have ever tasted

Took an hour and a half to deliver a basic meal for 2 people, and when we tried to call (5 times) it cut off saying User Busy. Food turned up eventually, lukewarm. We only live 10 minutes away from the place, and they charged to delivery it which is the best part! 🙄

Not one nice thing to say about this place.first we got charged £3 delivery so I though oh might be worth it then. But no the sauces were like water. Chips soggy and raw.i didnt even dare to eat the meat £30 wasted.

After ming garden changed hands in woodston and went downhill i searched another chinese takeaway , used these a couple of times now, the last time my delicery took 1 hour and 10 mins from stanground to fletton, as a result the chips were soggy, chicken curry has far too much onion, the chicken in the curry is cut way too big, the xhow mein absolutely bland and tasteless and found gritty bits in it,,,,, wont be going back there anytime soon, the search continues .

We have tried many of the dishes. We love the food and delivery time is always acceptable. It normally arrives earlier then they quote.

Lovely meal!! Served quickly and with a smile. Reasonable prices for some quality food. Chicken chow mein had plenty of chicken in it and cooked to perfection. Prawn crackers are probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back for more.

Will make a curry less spicy for us weaklings lol. Gr8 friendly service and good size portions. Price also reasonable. Bbq sauce amazing too. All in all would definately recommend

Had not had Chinese for years and did not know where to try looked on trip advisor and found good reviews on the gourmet inn when I ordered they said it would be 30 mins it came in 20 mins and the food was really nice and hot really could not fault in any way and not bad price really definitely going to try these guys again

One of the best Chinese take-aways in Peterborough! I always bet my delivery within 30 minutes too... sometimes even in 20 minutes. My fave dishes are Prawn Balls, Seaweed, Chicken Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper Squid! They'll also cut the duck for you too if you want them to.

Ordered a meal at gourmet inn to be delivered they said half an hour I called an hour later to see what had happened to delivery and they told me it would be twenty minutes so I decided to pick up ther were people in there saying there orders had not arrived eventually I got my order my pork curry was prawn which I am allergic to when we took it back he was checking the bag he kept saying we ordered that why would I order something I am allergic to we have had dinner parties spent a lot of money ther never again will I get Chinese from ther 2.30 hr and still didn't get order right

Best Chinese food in peterborough,not had a bad one yet, we wont use anybody else,food always fresh,you get plenty and the prices are fair and delivery is very fast every time we order 😀

Not only are the Owners fantastic and helpful, the food is heaven sent. Freshly cooked and really tasty. Lots of options that are not on other menus including Vegetarian dumplings. May they continue to prosper.

Have visited a few times now. Food always tasty, hot and ready very quickly. Only disappointment is the lady is somewhat rude and inflexible when they start to get busy however you go for the food....which is very, very good

I love it here, I actually allow myself a treat meal once a week and 9/10 times its here. The food is fresh and made to order. The taste is beyond great and it's pure pleasure. The staff are lovely and I would travel to get here if they didn't deliver. X

Era bastante escéptica sobre cuando El Puding Wok fue sustituido por el Gourmet. Probarlo y no he tenido en ningún otro lugar de comida china. El personal es amable reconocer cuando entras. Al hacer pedidos o incluso por teléfono. La comida es increíble, no puedo recomendar lo suficiente a cualquiera. Gran relación calidad-precio de la porción no tamaños grandes a mi ir a es el plato de carne que encanta Kung pow, no picante con la cantidad adecuada de kick. Siempre volveré y puede incluso ofrecer algo diferente la próxima vez.

This was the first time I ordered from Gourmet Inn, Very impressed with the food, was delicious. Even the chips were very good!

If you live in the Stanground area this has to be the Chinese takeaway of choice. Vast menu, Thai dishes are excellent, food is delivered piping hot and very quickly. E wry thing we ordered was fresh and very tasty.

After a hard day moving house, we tried the Gourmet Inn and it's really excellent. Friendly people and quick service. We have quite a lot of experience with this food and clearly so do they. They even offered us plastic forks in case we hadn't unpacked them yet. Oh and the food - delicious. The benchmark sweet and sour chicken balls were perfect. Crisp, not greasy and no doughy batter inside. Lovely. And the rest of the meal was tasty and good quality ingredients. I expect our waistlines will be wishing we didn't move so close to this place!

Will order again for sure 100% quality

I've been eating chineese food from different takeaway shops, but this one I love the most and I will definitely come back here again, as it's tasty, it is affordable and people who works there are brilliant..even a delivery drivers...Good luck Gourmet inn!!
