Tasty House in Peterborough

Tried this evening for the first time, as my regular Chinese is closed on a Tuesday. I had the salt & pepper munch box and ordered on Foodhub which was really easy & convenient. The lady who greeted me behind the counter was very friendly & efficient When I entered there were lots of cleaning products I could see which filled me with confidence that they keep on top of hygiene here. The food was delicious! Full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Lots of meat on the ribs, tasty bbq sauce and a great amount of food for the price. Cannot fault at all and will definitely return.

Disgusting! Avoid! We order Chinese every week and spend a good amount. Staff were clueless and rude! I called to let them know how awful the food was and was told they’ve never been told this before. Overcooked and dry.

Hardly any chicken in the chicken chow mein, beef chow mein had lots of beef in it though

The best Chinese I ever had.Food was hot and fresh.And everything so tasty. Definitely ordering again.

Not really sure to be honest, called in around 5pm to place an order to be collected at 6pm. The order could not have been any easier as I pointed to the food on the app that I wanted…. Or so you would have thought… shredded chilli beef and egg fried rice, 2 pancake rolls and a can of coke.. sadly there was no egg fried rice when I collected, not overly happy. Will give them another go, but they need to improve..

The web site is no longer working but a new App has been created - not used it yet. Cash only if you go into the shop. Food is okay because price is reasonable and matches the quality.

Terrible service. Food used to be ace. Under new management unfortunately for the worse. Rude staff.

1/4 duck of which half too fatty and unedible, special fried rice over dry, hoi sin sauce not up to usual nice taste! Cucumber, onion, wraps, Singapore vermicelli perfect. Cash only! Easy parking outside!

Wanted food for two people, got one allright, second one was just noodles with onion without meat.

It's a hit and miss trying to order as it's closed more than its open, good food when it is open but I'm fed up with it being closed all the time

Excellent quality, really hot even taking the journey home into account. Sweet and sourc Hong Kong style a favourite along with the checken and sweet corn soup which has more chicken in than any where else I have got it from. This is our regular and thats been for at least 15 years.

Food is getting lot less. Spring rolls just pastry no filling. Ribs more bone than meat. Pay more for lot less food. I will try another Chinese takeaway from now on. They don't look after loyal customers. They are more concerned now on big profits for themselves. Well disappointed with meal

Simply the best. Another super meal from Tasty House. Such a shame they only open a limited number of days per week but well worth the wait. Delicious food, great service and good value!

Only open when it suits them closes too early. Walked in the other night and the bosses daughter would not take my order Told me even though I was a regular they had orders backed up and I can’t order anything

I think tasty house is by far the best Chinese takeaway in Peterborough...not only is the food great but main meals are served in metal trays so less plastic

When we opened all the dishes we couldn't tell which dish was which, they all looked the same. This is not chinese food, i don't know what it is but it isn't chinese.

Worst Chinese in a long time! Not ordered from here in years and definitely isn't what it used to be. Everything was cold and not even edible it was that cold! Rice was uncooked, prawn crackers overly stale!! Might aswel have burnt £35!

Fast service but can be on the pricey side compared to other better Chinese take outs. Ensure you check your food before leaving they do have occasions of forgetting to put food in the bag. The food however is hot and tasty.

I have gone through a good 10 Chinese Takeaways across Peterborough and this one has just won for me. I do find Chinese Takeaways hit and miss to be honest but this is now my favourite.

With the Beijing being shut for years now , we decided to choose a recommended Chinese Takeaway . Have to say with respect to their menu had they heard less is more and as for being Tasty , this is far from the truth , they’ve spanned several continents on one menu. Would not Recommend (If I could rate this Chinese takeaway a zero I would)

When we stay at Ferry Meadows we sometimes place an order. We used their website to preorder our meal and time of collection. I recieved notification that our food selection had been sent to Tasty House and when my husband went to collect it it was piping hot and really tasty. I highly recommend this Chinese takeaway.

Absolutely disgraceful, have regularly delivered to our house, relayed my address to me when ordered, and then told me after ordering all food for our guests that my address is too far out? What a disappointment after being a loyal customer for a long time. Won’t be ordering again

Food absolutely spot on. Had a set meal for 1 and it was perfect and delicious, probably the best Chinese takeaway I have ever visited. Well worth a visit.

Food is good. But I saw product being bulked up by more mushrooms and less meat. Tubs not as full as before. But food is nice.

Having a sign on your door saying "No Mask No Entry" is discriminatory and no amount of explaining that some people are exempt could change there minds. It's about time people stood up to this. You have lost a regular customer for life now.

I’m quite a fussy eater and love my Chinese food and at Tasty house they always adhere to any request. I have been a customer for over a year and never had a problem the food is always excellent and service exactly what I would expect great range on the menu staff friendly and helpful wouldn’t go anywhere else for my food.

1st visit here ...all I can say is why have I wasted all my time going to Matley takeaway ! Gorgeous food 😋

This must be one of the best Chinese Takeaways we have tried in the UK. The Chicken&Cashoo nuts and King Prawn Foo Young are fantastic, they also have great chips.

Just ordered delivery to ferry meadows caravan site, very impressed food nice and hot tasty and cooked to perfection highly recommended the Thai green curry was particularly delicious 👍

Hot food, really tasty, best chicken balls I have ever had.

Have been a regular customer for a year now and never had a problem, today it wasTerrible. Had to wait an hour and a half for my order to arrive. Then when I did receive it there was no sweet and sour sauce. Called up and asked for it to be sent out and was told it’d be 10-15 mins and was waiting for 20 mins and still hadn’t arrived, called up to find out where it was and told it had left and should have been with me. Very poor customer service. Paid £40 for a load of cold food and poor service. Would not recommend and certainly will not be ordering from here again.

Just fancied a Chinese takeaway last evening and we had a fantastic one from this place recommended to us by others. I collected ours but they will deliver. Interesting to see how fast the orders were coming in while I waited shows it's good reputation.

Best Chinese takeaway in Peterborough

We put in an order for a family gathering and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our order was almost £100 so quite large but it was prepared very quickly and it was all piping hot. We were giving a free dish and and free spring rolls too. The lady at tasty house even helped carry the boxes to the car. We love Tasty House for our weekly treat and our family are now fans. Well done Tasty House and thank you. Quality as usual.

This is an average Chinese takeaway, its 'Singapore' dishes are not that hot, spice wise, same for the dry ribs salt and pepper,Singapore curry suffers the same fate, I know its not supposed to burn the roof of your mouth off, but a bit of ZING wouldn't go amiss. Extensive menu, nice staff, I can believe it gets busy Fri and Sat nights, as its right in the middle of a massive estate/village etc. You need to call in your order and collect, it will be better, don't try and order on 'just eat' their site is crap, doesn't work to your benefit.

Been a loyal customer for years, Bad food delivery made me ill and family too... Phoned to complain, they just said when I informed them ill go somewhere else, the answer was "please your self" Long trusting history of good service and good food for at least 20 years... So have gone to their competition now... I told the guy that I did not want a refund or a free meal, but still got the attitude of ""could not care less"" I think that was the delivery driver..... So now profit goes to the competeition....

One of Orton Waterville's hidden gems, this Chinese take-away is very good. Chilli and Salt Chicken is a particular favourite of mine.

Nice food serve at this place. The guy serving was nice and we shard a joke. Great service, nice Chinese food, been a few times when in area and its always good. See you again.

When we are stopping in this area we always have a beef curry good portion The chips are good not greasy I have the spicy chips and they are wonderful , I did have the chicken curry and was not impressed by the texture of the meat but rubbery for me thou but cant fault the curry

Tasty House seems to have become somewhat expensive and food quality is very average. Prawn toast was like rubber. Ribs with virtually no meat. Not enjoyable.

Service, food, price and quality all very good. Our daughter loves counting the fish in the large tank! Quite a personal experience for a take away which is nice to see. They remembered my name for example which is not typical...

Good range of dishes at a reasonable price. Food is well cooked and tasty. One hiccup though, asked for an extra fortune cookie (there were 3 of us eating £23 of food) they charged me an extra 20p, seems a bit stingy to me ?
