We were celebrating our brother in-laws 50th birthday with his wife and booked a table 2weeks before the event ,when we got there they didn't have our table and we had to sit in the bar, very disappointed

asked them to do an extra hot vermicelli. it was perfect. and the ribs I ordered were banging

This is our go too chinese , have been using it since the 80s the only gripe we have is they took chicken maryland of the menu , this meal used to feed 3 of our kids lols , always had decent food .sadly this takeaway has now closed down owners apparently went back to China, the building has been sold although as of 20/02/25 unknown what it will trade as .real shame imo used this place for donkeys years

Great takeaway, on holiday, called in only 20 min wait for food, special chow mein, special fried rice, s&s king prawn balls, crispy chilli beef, salt and pepper ribs, absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had. Would definitely go again next time we sare in the area

Have used this place since I moved to Harlow Visited Friday 28th Feb. at 6pm. Service was aweful, phones ignored I arrived tompkace my order was ignored and left standing at counter. Two more sets of customers arrived and received immediate attention. After two addition customers were served counter staff vo tinued to ignore me at which point I asked if she did .it want to serve me I explained her failings as detailed above. I eventually told her to forget I'll take my custom elsewhere I turned and walked out

Have always had great food from here! It’s become our go to for Chinese/ Thai offerings. Not greasy at all and great portions. Highly recommend.

I’ve been a loyal customer of The Famous Kwong Tung Chinese Takeaway for quite some time now, and they never fail to impress. This evening, I placed a large order consisting of six individual dishes, and once again, they delivered amazing meals. Every dish was packed with flavour, cooked to perfection, and as always, lived up to the high standard I’ve come to expect from them. The consistency in quality and taste is truly commendable, and it’s clear the team puts great care into every order. I’ve never had any issues, no matter the size of the order, and tonight was no exception. A huge thank you to The Famous Kwong Tung team for their fantastic service and incredible food. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious and reliable Chinese takeaway. Keep up the great work!

Told 60-90 mins delivery 2 hours 15 mintues it took to come no apology

Thought it would be nice to have a Chinese take away for my birthday. We decided to pick the order up. Chicken green pepper & black bean sauce with rice & chips. It was ready on time but not that that hot. The chicken was very chunky and the sauce disappointingly watery. So not much taste to whole dish. The chip were dry as well. Mings won’t be our first choice of Chinese in the future 😢

Well worth the 1hr drive, took wife as a surprise as she is vegan, and at normal Chinese it is very limited on options. Here the whole menu is vegan with gluten free options. Loved the gyozas, sweet and sour vegan chicken (tasted better than regular chinese) and the vegan duck pancakes and stay vegan chicken skewers. Lots of flavours and we eat some in the car before driving off, got home and the fod was still hot. They do have options to add egg if you wanted, which I did to my rice. Very friendly lady running the front. Highly recommend and this is coming from someone who is a meat eater and my wife loved all of it. We will be back.

Came here twice before pandemic struck. 1st time they couldn,t understand my order. I came a 2nd time but realising I needed to be more coherent and clear to avoid mistakes. Yet the server still didn,t quite get it. I then realised the problem was his poor English. They cater mostly for the Chinese community, which is fair enough, I don,t have a problem with that but the food is so-so. At least they,re better than the Red Lantern nearby. I noticed. since my review, another reviewer, a Sakya Vidu found insects in his Wanton Soup and took photos of it. He said do not eat here but didn't report them but another reviewer did. If this place is so bad, then customers should report them to the ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT . If the allegations are true.

This sucks!!! Go to the fais kitchen in bognor. Their chips are actually edible.

Used to order from here years ago, had decided to use them again last night. Quite disappointed. The sauce portions were tiny considering the price. Curry sauce was very watery and no real flavour. Husbands lemon chicken came separate and he had to pour the sauce on his chicken to make the meal. Every lacked flavour.

This is the takeaway we most use and not just because it's the nearest to us! Run by a lovely Chinese couple who do nearly everything themselves, there's a decent menu and reasonable prices. You may have to wait a little while for your food as everything is cooked to order and it's usually busy but it's spotlessly clean and there's always someone to chat to.
