Fung kitchen in Harlow

I tried Fung Kitchen for the first time a few weeks ago and this is now my go to Chinese. It’s taken me so long to find a really good old school Chinese and this is it. Food is cooked fresh and tastes amazing and not like it’s been cooked in a year old oil like some of the places. Would highly recommend it but just be patient as the times I have been, the place was heaving with people ordering and collecting their food. That is ALWAYS a good sign. The people who work there are also friendly 😊

Waiting 2 hours for food that never turn up would not recommend this place

What a great find. Very tasty food and very well priced unlike others in the area, I think myself and QD have found our new Chinese takeaway, worth the travel if you can't get delivery!

You can't beat this price with this quality anywhere nowadays.

Very disappointing - food very mediocre. Beef curry very bland - pretty much just beef & onion in a curry sauce . Take away collection area needs a make over too . So old and dirty looking 👀

Food was freshly prepared and tasted great. The staff were polite and attentive. Definitely the best chinese takeaway locally for us. Very good value for money main dishes were around a fiver which was a bargain.

A good Chinese takeaway. Decent food, decent prices, nice staff. The chicken stuffed mushrooms are a particular favourite of mine.

Lovely Chinese as always. One complaint tonight rice should be white was a very dirty colour tonight not appertising to look at., at all.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEST CHINESE / CANTONESE TAKE AWAY IN HARLOW ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I give 10 stars ‼️ We ordered sweet n sour pork HK style, salt n pepper squid and Singaporean chow mein (rice noodles). Amazingly Delicious and the food was still very hot and fresh when we got home. Get free prawn crackers too! Staff & Head Chef are very friendly. Definitely will come again. Highly recommend Fung Kitchen. The best ❗

Ordered here for years but tonight you’ve lost this household as a customer supposed qtr duck arrived which didn’t have the bone and was literally a spoonful of duck. Only enough for three pancakes at a push. Ignorant manager didn’t even come to the phone and refused to refund. Also got told by staff qtr duck never comes with bone at any Chinese. What a load of crap not loyal to the customers so goodbye off to find another Chinese

Disgusting food very rude staff my daughter had plastic in her food and they refused to come and collect it and give me my money back the man was very rude and aggressive and the food tasted disgusting and greasy, also the shop itself absolutely stinks and is absolutely rotten dirty I wouldn’t even give it one star

You need to try beef mixed peppers in black bean sauce and Singapore style fried rice. It's the best

The food is great, always looks good, I have tried many dishes and been pleased with them all. The prices are reasonable and presented well. I call to place my order as always have a big order and go to collect it, the food is always ready and boxed up for me. The owner is a friendly man and will always take the time to speak or will call out to say Hello whilst cooking. Food is great I highly recommend this place 👍

Great food, great service, excellent price.

I've been going here over last few months. I order the same simple dish every time. On the rare occasion it was prepared fresh it was great. So many times it is just reheated in a fryer. Today was awful. Had to throw away. Will not be returning.

The smallest main meal takeaway I've everseen! Normal size takeaway container is about 7 1/2 inches. From here it's 4 3/4. REALLY POOR VALUE FOR MONEY!

Maybe I got unlucky, but the curry I got here was not good, worse than an a basic average curry from an average Chinese. Disappointed. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and try something else again at some point but there are other Chinese take aways nearby in town who are better.

Food was sh1t chicken was too soft, wrong chow mein too won’t even eat from here again I can’t lie .

First time ordering from here as we have tried various Chinese takeaway and restaurants in Harlow, we nearly gave up on a decent Chinese in Harlow so this was the last takeaway we were going to try I was amazed the food was fantastic worth the money and will be ordering again I recommend this place

Always value for money and I can't fault the food

Visited here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The menu was really extensive and surroundings very comfortable. The food we ordered was delicious fresh and very hot and certainly more than enough. Very good value for money also. Would recommend 100% and will be returning again

Excellent in every way... Was starting to lose hope in finding a decent Chinese in Harlow - but here it is! Very friendly, very quick, kitchen appears clean, and the food was delicious!

I have no grumbles about the cleanliness of the place and I certainly have no grumbles about the polite and friendly staff. Indeed, I always used to use this takeaway and I do miss not going there. However, on two separate occasions, the chicken balls were not cooked enough. They were anemic looking, soft and I had to recook them. Not something that you expect to have to do when you have just bought a takeaway.................a meal that you have paid more than £6.00 for and something that you just want to dish up and get on with! It really is a shame, but once I am 'put off' by something; there it stays. I feel no animosity towards anyone in there and I wish them every success. But, please, do give a little more care and attention about the way things are dished up. Thank you.

Cracking meal for 4 last week, deep fried chilli beef, chilli and garlic prawns, chow mein and sweet and sour chicken all cooked to perfection, we did have a couple more sides and couldn't fault a thing, well done to you all, keep the chefs and staff you have as the results are in the review, highly recommended!

Used for the 1st & last time this evening! Lady charged me £72.50 instead of £12.50 very suspicious as the 1 and 7 arent even near eachother on the keypad?! When we called up no apology from her so asked to speak to manager who was even ruder! Really shocking service & food was nothing to write home about either. Learn how to take payments correctly and better yet; some decent manners and customer service!!!!!

Used for the 1st and last time this evening.Lady on the telephone charged me £72.50 instead of £12.50 ( I only wanted some sweet and sour chicken balls and rice!) As a restaurant manager myself I take card transactions over the phone on a daily basis and dont quite understand how you can confuse the 7 with the 1 on the keypad as one is at the top and one at the bottom...its also right next to the 2 that she had to press next..seems abit fishy to me!! When we called up she want instantly defensive and rude so we asked to speak to the manager who was even worse! Not wanting to trust them with our card details again we decided to go and collect our £60 in person where the manager was still rude, When we said that we wouldn't be returning no care was given. Food not very nice either! Dont even bother.

Veey good food and veey friendly staff ..

We've been getting out take away from here for 8 years and have never considered going some where else. But the last 2 times we've done a collection they have told us the food will be ready in 20 minutes. Once we get to the take away to pick up the food we're told it's going to be another 20 minutes. That then turns into waiting for 30 minutes. I don't mind if the food takes 50 minutes to cook when it's done fresh, but don't ask someone to be there in 20 minutes to collect and then ask them to wait and don't even say sorry. Last order unfortunately

Fung kitchen is a regular stop for us. The best chinese takeaway for miles. The food is cooked fresh and is always good. Jimmy and his crew are top notch. Lovely.

Para ser honesto, las instalaciones no parece tan atractivo, pero nunca me han decepcionado con la comida. Es cierto, en el extremo más barato y cumple con lo que esperas, "una buena comida para llevar". He encontrado otros lugares donde los platos son demasiado acuoso o demasiado "éxitos" este aguadas y sobre cocidas un buen equilibrio, las fuentes son fuertes y sabrosos. No Onios como yo, y nunca un problema para sustituir esta en los platos con una alternativa.

Conducimos a través de harlow y decidimos tomar una cena rápida para llevar. Optamos por un plato de fideos para la sencillez. El servicio era amable, la comida estaba lista en 5 minutos. El plato de fideos era normal/normal. Fue lo suficientemente agradable, nada especial. Era un poco soso lateral. Si soy inter, zona más posible comer comprar para llevar de nuevo.

Very good quality and price and I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. This is where I go when I'm in Harlow and want some Chinese food.

I have been in here a few times and the young lady is very good when asking about the food because of my food intolerances. The young lady in there is nice, and so it the guy who cooks, but the older lady is so miserable, unhelpful and rude that I walked out. The food here is ok. Quite bland. Very little egg in the egg fried rice. And also a lot of strange black bits that were in the grains of rice.

I use this place a lot and the food and the service is always good. I always collect as it is not far from me.

Siempre pida desde aquí. La comida es estupenda y siempre dentro del tiempo especificado deliever. Algunos de sus platos son un poco caras, pero no puedo quejar de lo contrario.

If you want a reasonably priced Chins Takeaway, this is the place.

La comida china estaba muy amplia variedad incluso tenía salchichas patatas y aros de cebolla. Desierto estaba incluido tartas de frutas de helados así como a la crema hechas sino también los dulces sin duda volveremos pronto.

superb food, great service with superquick cooking from the talented cooks. OK prices but it does addup. My fave is the Mixed meat curry and the Chow yung fried rice.

Ive had more than a few takeaways. This was the best I've had for a long time. Hot clean and grease free.

Chinese takeaways vary enormously but this is one of the better ones. I had my first meal there today following a glowing reference from fellow drinkers in the nearby White Horse which is also one of Harlow-on-Stort's better class of pubs. My meal for one was quite delicious..a tasty pancake roll which didn't suffer from an overload of batter, chicken and plump fresh mushrooms and very acceptable beef in black bean sauce. This with a generous portion of fried rice and sweet/sour pork balls all came to £8.50 and I couldn't finish it (not in one go, anyway). Add to this the most friendly service and I cannot but give it a top recommendation to fellow Harlovians.

I used to live near them, so i order with them once a week.Food is always nicely cooked and counter staff and Chefs are always friendly. Will recommend to anyone who lives nearby and fancies some Chinese Food. You will not be dissapointed, i have so far not had a bad meal.
