Ordered a takeaway, it came out fast, it was very tasty and hot (jum jum chicken with egg fried rice. Portion size was good too.

The restaurant is beautiful; the lanterns and the warm lighting make it an inviting space to eat in. The food is absolutely delicious - amazing flavours!!!!!!! The portions are huge, especially for the price which is very reasonable! We had a great meal tonight and I would highly recommend!!!

Restaurant and Allergy Review Restaurant: I have always had a wonderful meal when at Mui & Koko. All the food is delightful and always brings me back for more. The staff are kind and friendly and the atmosphere is always a joyful. I have been coming here for years and have always had a fantastic time. This restaurant is the jewel of Harlow. Allergies If you have allergies this might not be the restaurant for you. As someone who has a serious peanut allergy I find it extremely hard to find a Chinese restaurant that can accommodate me and Mui & Koko staff wouldn’t recommend eating here if you have a serious allergy. It was brought to my attention more prominent tonight that the satay is fried in the same oil as the other fried options which from a cross contamination point is very upsetting. Every time I eat here I always order the two same dishes (salt and pepper chicken and Yum Yum chicken) and I do so ignoring their warnings taking my life into my own hands and that’s because I have never had a reaction with these dishes because they don’t contain peanuts. But I take this risk because it’s near impossible for someone like me with a peanut allergy to enjoy an authentic Chinese meal as satay as well as other dishes are always a deter to me. And it is deeply upsetting I am missing out eating with friends and family. I would like to request from myself and on behalf of others with peanut allergies to not use the same oil and have the satay (peanut options) cooked in another area or handled in another way which enables someone like myself to enjoy a lovely meal without worry. I always appreciate the amount of concern and worry from the staff have for my wellbeing. Please take this change into consideration as it soul crushing to not being able to eat with my own family. I doubt I will return until there is a change.

Literally the best food in Harlow.

It was overall good experience, didn’t have the buffet so can’t speak for that, had salt and pepper squid and chicken katsu curry, they were both ok, not best I’ve had but not bad either, service was ok sometimes difficult to get the attention of the waiter but generally good service, not too pricey either.

Our work team has been there for a few leaving lunches and every time the food has been delicious, served super quickly and the service in general has been excellent. Can strongly recommend!

What a lovely Thai/Chinese restaurant this is. Two of us went here recently and had a really nice experience. The restaurant is very beautiful and decorated to give the appeal of a chinese restaurant. The food is really nice, really biiiiiiiiig portion sizes. Very generous of them 🙏 Prices are very competitive for the food you get. The service is next to best. The staff are super polite and helpful. If you are in this area and fancy some good quality Chinese/Thai food, you shouldn't give this place a miss. Thank you mui & koko noodle bar 🍜

Lovely Chinese in Harlow with fantastic portion size and beautiful decoration. We had quite the wait on what appeared to be a busy Saturday evening however the quick service and yummy food certainly made up for it. Not my first or last visit, special shout out to the super friendly girls at the bar, Waiyen made us multiple bubble tea’s which were delicious. We’ll be back for more! :)

(King Du Soba in the picture) The plates are quite big, it was a little difficult to finish haha. The food was delicious and rich in content. I asked for pork to be removed. The only minus is the atmosphere, tables (and people obviously) are very close to each other.

The Food is very very good. I especially like the starters which were huge. I will return and probably order 4-5 starters and no main. Excellent and attentive service. All in all a really nice meal.

Took 2 vegetarians and 2 vegans here, vegans checked that tofu was cooked separately was told it was cooked in the same oil as meat so don't offer any vegan/vegetarian options, really bad

Amazing spot with the best asian food anywhere in Harlow. Portions are huge for the price and it is so much better than wagamamas down the road. I very much recommend this place I have been in the restaurant a dozen times and ordered food from here a dozen times as well. They are consistent in the quality of food and time it takes to bring out/deliver.

Over charged for food we didn’t even order.we was charged service charge when it state they don’t charge service charge.we was a party of 8 people and paid 2 separate bills and both were charged service charge. Disgusting!

We finally found a decent Chinese Restaurant in Harlow. I would highly recommend it, the food is tasty, service was quick and the food portions were great. We were so impressed that we forgot to take food pics.

My wife and I have been here several times now, and it’s ALWAYS a wonderful experience. The staff and the service they give is faultless. The quality of the food, and the selection available, is absolutely fantastic. I’m going home with a full belly and a smile on my face, and genuinely can’t wait to eat here again.

Food absolutely revolting. Young lady who served us come over didn’t even greet us when serving our food she just threw it down. Food was absolutely freezing. Also had a hair in my curry told you the lady she rolled her eyes and asked me what I wanted her to do. Then proceeded to take the hair out the food infront of me and told me she will reheat it. Then no one asked if we was ok we asked for the curry to be taken off the bill she told me no and that I shouldn’t of ordered it if I wanted it off the bill baring in mind it had a hair in it. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING WILL BE REPORTING THIS PLACE TO ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTHz

Consistently great food. Just ordered another takeaway here and it is tasty as always. Highly recommend the Yumyum beef rice, roast pork and roast duck rice. Polite staff and ready to collect so soon.

Popped here as was staying at holiday inn express next door. Amazing food, served very quickly and hot. Price is really good too. They even loaned my wife some reading glasses, as she had forgotten her own. 😁 Top class.

Food is very nice but service was abysmal, we were 2 young female customers, they completely ignored us and served everyone else first, we kept having to find staff to order, and they looked at us like we’d done something wrong when we went up. At the end, they asked if we wanted to add a service charge, we said no, they then just made us tap without seeing the price and had put a £5 service charge on a £30 meal.

We have been eating at King Du and now Mui Koko for over 13 years, we love it, we have also recommended it to family and friends who also love it. Always delicious food and friendly staff!

Service is not great. Servers aren’t diligent in getting your order and making you feel comfortable. I sat, alone, for 7 minutes and nobody asked me whether I wanted a drink. A table that came in after me were served first whilst I was ignored. I just went to wagamamas. It’s a disappointing as it’s great value for food but they aren’t well trained and do not have a good server etiquette.

I'm a regular at this place. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and fairly priced. The atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful. Often, at the end of a busy week, I enjoy a nice bowl of ramen while listening to the smooth music they play. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food and a place to unwind.

Been there with my partner 10.12.2023 and my partner got the worst food poisoning afterwards. He ordered salt&pepper chicken and yumyum chicken. I had yumyum chicken wings and duck ramen. Few hours after my partner had fever, stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. I was lucky - just felt generally unwell and had stomach cramps.

Tofu was dry and tasteless - disappointed so let the service staff know as a FYI . All I got was a barrage of abuse from two individual staff members . Easier not to return again - disappointing experience overall

This place makes my taste buds tingle with good flavour. The staff is helpful, patient, and attentive no matter how many times you change your mind or add to your order. They are very efficient and quick. Everything about this restaurant is great, including its location. It's worth repeat visits.

It was my 60th birthday and my friends made sure I had a lovely evening to remember with our table decorated for me and lovely tasty food and very attentive waiter and waitress all evening ! They even sang happy birthday to me and I cut the cake ! I really had a great evening with some good friends !

Best eat in or take out noodle bar. Not only in Harlow but probably in Essex!!.

Food cooked fresh clean restaurant and staff very helpful about food choices

Quirky decor, decent food and surprisingly large portions, will definitely go back again. I tried the black bean beef rice, which was very good , comparable to central London, with a kick of heat and crunchy peppers which is often not the case. my son had the chilli ramen, which had a real rich broth and higher level of heat than other places but perfect for my spice loving son. both large portions and was perfect size for lunch. finished off with two lovely bubble tea with popping bobbles.

Booked a table for 7:30 saturday night, and it was ready when we arrived. Busy ambience but still a nice welcome. Service was quick and the food absolutely fantastic, fresh, hot , really tasty and good portion sizes ! would highly recommend Mui & Koko.

The food is very fresh and tasty 😋 I have been quiet a few times with my too children. It's a lovely atmosphere, and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Portions are big enough to share, worth every penny.

Tastiest food in Harlow. What a great evening of food, drink and service. A warm welcome upon our arrival. We were taken to our table and given the biggest menu. There was so much to choose from. We've only ever had a takeaway from here so we were super excited to sit in for a change. We were still waiting on two more people to join us but we weren't rushed which was great. Some beer orders were taken and then we had to decide on what to eat. To start we opted to share a few dishes (Chicken Satay, Prawn Toast, Salt & pepper chicken & chips, 1/4 duck between 6 of us which was the perfect amount and spring rolls). Then we moved onto our mains and the portion sizes are amazing. Just as an FYI they are BIG. Nothing wrong with that but just pace yourself. I wanted to order something I'd never had before and opted for Malaysian Fried Rice with a fried egg...GORGEOUS and leftovers for lunch the next day. The other main dishes included Yum Yum chicken & beef and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. Takeaway has always been great but nothing beats the real thing. Everything was tasty and piping hot and the service was flawless. Everyone was friendly and helpful and super accommodating. We'll definitely be dining in more often.

Enjoyed a very tasty and delicious takeaway of Hong Kong Chicken and noodles at the weekend. Our order was ready as promised when we arrived and handed over by very helpful and friendly staff. Very reasonable price and restaurant looked very colourfull and inviting so we intend returning soon. Note closest car park is the Water Gardens if you are dining in, if getting a takeaway by car take someone with you to collect your food while you wait close by.

We go there at least once a fortnight and always have a great meal. They always squeeze us in! Great service and friendly staff. Can recommend the Chilli Ramen amongst other great dishes. Superb place.

Haven't been here for years and was disappointed at first they no longer did the buffet, but I plesently surprised as the quality of food and portions was excellent (same as the other place they had near Wetherspoons in Harlow. We had Yaki Sobur, yum yum chicken and chicken satay (the satay was massive). Many thanks Mark & Nikki. 👍🏻

My second visit. First visit, I didn't really enjoy ramen. It was without seasonings I was expecting. However, noodles were lovely. This time, I tried Chinese soup, and it was a bit better. Still would like to have a bit more spices. Side dishes were very yammy. The atmosphere and staff are welcoming.

Everything was just as best as can be. Table was immediately available, they provided a high chair for the baby and even little chips and sweets. Menu is amazing with all options to accommodate everyone. Chicken is Halal. Food was served in less than 5 minutes from ordering and it was freshly cooked. It's absolutely amazing how they can do this and the quality of food is absolutely authentic. Massive portions and delicious food. Price was great. We paid 30 pounds for two mains and two sides with drinks. Will definitely go there again.

I think that it should be updated as we were in the area to look for a buffet place, and this popped up. But It is not a buffet anymore. The only reason we wanted a buffet is that we don't recognise the names, so it is easier for us to choose from a buffet. However, because it was the only one in the area, we ended up eating in but had to choose from other people's pictures. However, if you are not looking for a buffet, I do recommend going as the portions are good size and also delicious. Quite small place.

What a fantastic place this is. The decor was amazing and the food to match. Great range of food at great prices and the portions were big too. They weren't kidding on the menu when it said "noodles, lots of" The place was buzzing on a Thursday evening and it's easy to see why this restaurant is so popular.

Great little place to grab some food. Similar to King Du another restaurant in Harlow. Have now been here a few times with family and never been disappointed. Would recommend booking on weekends as it is popular and can get very busy!

Some of the best Oriental food you'll find. Very good value and the staff are brilliant.

This place is essentially the same as King Du Noodle Bar (other end of the town centre). It's the same menu and presumably chefs too. Anything said about King Du pre-2019 is probably true of this place too. It's great, really nice food, great value for money, portion sizes are very generous and it's all very tasty. I've just been again in 2022 with as group of friends and its still the same high quality. I especially recommend the Salt & Pepper Squid, which is the best recipe I've had for this dish anywhere (better than Wagamama, even).
