Amazing service quick delivery and the food is so good couldnt get enough of the crispy beef and pork dumplings yum!

I have been using Mandarin for a few years now but was disappointed tonight. Their new online ordering service is awful. I didn’t receive any kind of confirmation that the order had been received. I ordered my food at 1910 and it wasn’t delivered until 2030. I called up to see where it was and the lady in the phone was clueless and had to check with someone else to be told it was on its way but it was still another 20 minutes. The rice was cold but just ate it as I was hungry and couldn’t be bothered to wait another hour for rice. Not sure if I would go back.

We always order from here but over the last few orders we've noticed it's declining. Portions have reduced especially the curry sauce portion size. Tonight the food wasn't hot, the chips tasted reheated. The chicken in the roast chicken and gravy was hard and cold as was the gravy. My husband's omelette was cold and hard too. The free mini pancake rolls were also only just warm. Time to order from a different Chinese I think.

Food was absolutely disgusting!!! Avoid at all cost if you love Chinese food this isn’t the place to go.

Our go-to Chinese takeaway! They never fail to impress, food is amazing and they have a fantastic range of tofu dishes. Service is usually super speedy (depending on the day, obviously weekends are a little slower which is understandable). They never get our order wrong and the free spring rolls when you order over a certain amount are a great touch.

Phoned up for a delivery... they were so helpfull.... our normal Chinese was closed... Food was amazing...salt n pepper ribs.... shredded smoke chicken...egg fried rice...etc.. Prompt service .... This is now our new to go Chinese.... 10/10

there online orders are rubbish all i get is "temporarily offline"this happens all the time so my question is why do you advertise as an online company but this service never works i think i may switch to another restaurant that is a shame as there food is very good

Took two hours and after calling them they didn't even remember my order online. So have to wait another 45mins then a call from a lost delivery driver. All these to receive a cold food. Do waste your money and time. Will never order from them again.

We have been using the Mandarin for our Takeaway for a while and have just had a really lovely meal. Very fresh food and lots of it. Very pleasant staff and prompt delivery. We’ll be back soon.

Excellent Chinese takeaway! I've tried several in the area, but this has been my goto takeaway for the past couple of years. Great food and service always, and really good value! The set meals are particularly good, they certainly don't skimp on portion sizes! Thanks to all at Mandarin :)

Always professionaly hand made food

We needed to find an alternative as our usual is temporary closed. Rang one Chinese and they said ready to collect in 5-10 mins, glad we passed on that one as that sounded far too speedy for me. We ordered special fried/rice/chow mein/chop suey, sweet and sour prawn balls and chips. Everything was hot tasted fresh. The rice and chow mein although special contained mainly chicken. The chip suey tasted far too sweet for me like a sweet and sour sauce although not to my taste that’s not the foods fault. We ordered prawn crackers but they sent some free ones too along with 8 little spring rolls which were very tasty. I’m glad we went with this place as an alternative. Easy to order online, paid cash on delivery and was delivered within 30 mins. Will order again for sure.

We've ordered from here a few times now and we've never had a bad experience. Delivery is always quick and the food is always hot and tasty. Because we order online we can pay by card which is convenient.

1st time ordering, had Chicken fried rice x 2, chips, curry sauce, free prawncrackers as over £10 order. Everything was very delicious, quick delivery ordered online but paid cash on delivery. Definitely will order again

Only discovered them fairly recently, but ordered a few times. Food is pretty good, delivers, fairly priced and their online system for ordering is very, very user friendly.

Delicious food. Will order def order again My family and I decided to celebrate Chinese New Year and the kids loved it ! We were given a free bag of spring rolls and some moon cakes after I happened to ask if they had any coz the kids had seen them on TV. Brilliant customer service on the phone and delivery .

I'm fed up with my usual establishment so thought I would try a different one. The 'scores on the door' [environmental health] gave this place a maximum 5 rating which was up to date. This is a take away not a sit down restaurant. (see previous comment) The food was hot, generous portions and flavoursome. I had duck in pineapple- the chunky pieces of pineapple were tasty. I had salt and pepper squid and the batter was crispy (not soggy like my old place) I received free prawn crackers and spring rolls too. I would definatley use this place again.

Tried for 30mins from 5pm (when they open) to book a table couldn’t get through. Not because it was engaged, it rang and answerphone picked up saying no one available. When eventually got through was told no tables until late ..... fair enough but when I said it was too late the gentleman at the end of the phone responded rudely and slammed the phone down.

Walk in: So I ordered 2 dishes off the menu and ended up with 4 the server was more interested with her children behind the counter than customers. My food was cold when received and tasted like it had been made 3 days ago. How do these outlets keep going? I’m sure the online clients don’t see or understand what is going on here. I will never return and do not recommend.

When they deliver the food freshly cooked and hot (most, but not all, the time), you can't beat it. Their tail on breadcrumbed king prawns (starter) are outstanding...

As my favourite Chinese has had a recent visit from the health inspectors I had to try somewhere else. This place I really should have avoided. When placing my order you can actually see into the kitchen and the amount of dirty woks and dishes around was unbelievable. Flies were everywhere! I will never order from here again, and I would recommend you to do the same. Made my Mother ill!

I used this takeaway twice while in the area. I came back to this one after visiting another, disappointing takeaway. Their Hot and Sour soup is very tasty - it's why I came back. I also had the Kung Po beef and Pork with Green Pepper and Black Bean sauce - I thought the Kung Po Beef was better. Their prices are very good. The other takeaway was more expensive for less food and less flavour. The portions here were generous.

My friend and i ordered from this chinese as it was the only one we could find that was still delivering. However, in future this will be our first choice. The delivery was very fast, the food was piping hot and delicious and you get a lot for your buck! It did us dinner, lunch and there was enough for my boyfriend to have some for dinner the next day! They even threw in some free spring rolls which was a lovely gesture. 10/10 would definitely eat again!

Ordered here now 5 times including one £200 order for a joint 30 birthday. Every single time they have forgotten something no matter if we have had it delivered (at additional cost) and been told we'll have to go and get the rest of our order or repay deliver for their mistake, or if we have been to pick it up. On our larger order they forgot 70% of our meal and then tried to blame us for coming to pick it up too soon (an hour after online ordering, when they said to come). We tried to order 4 dishes on the way home from Manchester so we could pick it up but their website wasn't working so I rang them and got told I had to do it online, after going through their website was not working they still had the same answer. No order that night then and probably lost a lot of business too. Now they can't charge for credit cards on the website (by law), they have put the delivery cost up and it adds service charge that can not be removed! The service charge is still there if you pick it up! I will not pay service charge for no service it's a disgrace and we will not use them again. Food was OK nothing special just OK.

What can I say... absolutely fantastic again! Big portions, very very tasty, arrived piping hot within 40 minutes of ordering online, would highly recommended

Fast delivery and accommodating when asked to amend my order, however a portion of rice was missing from a set meal (which we paid for!) and the chow mein meal hardly contained any meat. Ordered from here several times before and this is the first time we have been left feeling dissatisfied with our meals.

Had a delivery for the family. Good sized potions, hot food that tastes great - exactly what you want really!

Food was 45 minutes late and arrived cold. The rice was watery, the sauces weren't great and the meat was very questionable. I have no doubt in my mind that the chicken was not actually chicken. We only ordered as our regular was closed and we are both very ill at the moment, but still ended up having to go out to take the food back. Would not recommend.

The food took almost 2 hours to arrive, even though we live on the same street. The food was disgusting. I dont know what meat they put in the chicken balls but it was brown and tasted nasty. Pretty sure it wasn't chicken. Would not reccomend.

Been a few times at lunch but have now been in the evening and we’re not disappointed to say the least. Fantastic choice and excellent hot tasting food. The sweet/pudding choices were superb and more than enough for anyone. At just over £15, you’re not robbed.

So had to change our takeaway as the rating for our usual went down when ownership changed. It was great able to order and pay online, delivered in good time taste really good, the only reason it didn't get a 5 was rice went cold a little too quick my partner had no issues at all

Ordered a chinese takeaway online from Mandarin Garden at about 6pm on a Friday evening. Website easy to use and prices very reasonable. Order arrived quicker than advised, delivered by a very friendly driver. Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Portions size were plentiful for us to share,

Food can sometimes take a while and can sometimes be early but it is good to eat when you get it :)

We liked this when it was Fungs. Now we love using the online ordering form as well as the food which is always delicious.

I order from this place all the time. The food is always hot and it's not too greasy. So many things to choose from and the price is right for what you get! Delivery is quick and the employees are nice

There is just about everything on this menu!! Set price of £15 per head and eat all you want (drinks not included). If you are not bothered about being rushed to eat and move on, then you will survive the pushy staff; because the menu is so extensive it takes time to read through all the labels on all the counters so you know what you are putting on your plate!! It takes time to eat and to queue to get seconds (or thirds) and queue again to get drinks (it is all self service). How can they charge £15 per head to eat all that you want - if they don't give you the time to do this!!!!!

Chicken and pineapple dish was disgusting, 'chicken' was some modified rubbish and sauce bland, I use to love salt and chilli king prawns from Fungs (same phone number) these didn't taste spicy at all, very disappointed , so wont be using them again!!

This is the 1st time we have used the mandarin Garden and we are very impressed.

Was given delivery time of 30-45 minutes actually took 1 1/2 hours, house special curry had very little meat more like vegetable curry, veg was big chunky lumps, thai green curry also lots of veg AND pineapple! ! When called to ask where order got to was same phone number as Fungs!! Will NEVER order from either Fungs or Mandarin garden and advise nobody else to or you will be disappointed too
