Yuan in Wellingborough

Crispy duck not crispy. Plum sauce disgusting. Satay thin with little taste and mostly onion with cucumber????? Szechuan with the most woody bamboo shoots as the majority of the dish. Flavours chips and even undercooked build rice. How this has positive reviews is unknown. Never again.

Some of the best chow mein and spring rolls I've ever had . The delivery driver is so rude though . Short changed me too because he had to wait 40sec for me to get to the front door then lied and said it took me 5-10mins to get there . Good thing I have a ring doorbell otherwise he may have been able to gaslight me . Keep making great food, maybe get a different driver though

Very poor quality small portions sweet and sour tastes like vinegar, crispy beef soft and chewy,spring rolls soft not cooked properly never order again waste of money

Don't order from this place, if I could score it minus I would. Waited over an hour for the food arrived cold. curry was congealed and for a house special there was very badic not what was expected sweet and sour sauce was set, Satay Chicken was under cooked, I called to complain to be told because we had tried the food I wouldnt get a refund, the young lady on the phone was only doing her job by relaying the message from her boss but after I asked to talk to him she hung up on me I have continuously called she just hangs up on me, called from another phone she was rude and hung up. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

A very poor experience. We went in to take away, waited for a long time, and then got the wrong order (although the team very apologetically replaced it). When we came home, we had some of the food but couldn’t even continue because it was really not tasty. Some of it bland, some full-on made me feel sick.

If I could give zero stars I would. After the food arrived by a very grumpy delivery driver, we plated up and on trying the food is was cold and dry like it had been left to sit there. The prawn crackers were stale. The hoisin sauce for the duck was, cold and tasted off like vinegar. The only thing that was edible was the chips.. We contacted food hub who liased with the takeaway who said if we returned the food we could have a refund if we contacted them directly which I was happy to do. On contacting them they refused the refund on the grounds the food had been opened and tried - how else would we know it was cold and inedible? On trying to say this point I was screamed and shouted at. The manager was trying to intimidate me into backing down. At one point they were both screaming down the phone at me in another language I couldn't understand. At no point was I rude I just simply repeated what the agent asked me to do on the phone which was call them and return the food for a refund to be met with hysterical screaming and shouting that we should have contacted them directly first rather than go via food hub - which I did as the order was placed via that website. Their customer service is appalling and their food even worse. If I was a woman on my own which he definitely thought before my partner took the phone I would be terrified.

The manger is very rude I waited 2 hrs for no food to arrive and I asked to speak to the manger and he refused to come on the phone. I received no phone call or apology of them I had to contacted the delivery people for a refund

Not enough sauce in curries , too much onions (not the only Chinese that do this) I like onions just way too many too bulk up, could be more flavour in sauce too, bit bland. Rice is good, id ear that alone

absolutely disgusting place to order chinese from🤮 ordered tonight waited 1 hour for food to arrive for it to be freezing cold no warmth to it whatsoever! containers it came in were cold when i got them out the bag! called restaurant to be told the owner said no refund and no they can’t deliver a new lot of hot food! disgusting! lady on the phone said can’t you heat it up yourself? it was cooked 30-40 minutes ago… whole lot has been chucked in the bin, would never recommend this place!!!!

Disgusting, the food tasted as if it was all drowned in oil for 24 hours, the prawn cracker. They were as dry as a fresh sponge still in a packet, absolutely poor and awful, I felt like a homeless could cook better than these people in the kitchen. I WILL NOT be returning again. Thanks you

Food quality and quantity gone down hill. Cost of living I would expect Hong Kong style chicken to have chicken in it all batter. Have been going here for six years sorry you have lost our custom.

It was my first time using this restaurant and had a takeaway yesterday. I only gave a 4 because I had to wait nearly an hour for delivery. The meal, however, was excellent. It was hot enough and tasted really good. I will be ordering from them again.

Love tis chinese, food lovely. Best chinese takeaway in the town! My review one year later - bought a chinese here last Thursday, spent £50 and it was the worse meal ever! Chicken skewers - Chicken if you could call it that was like leather, curry tastless and soggy and wait for it - the prawn crackers stale!!! Absolutely NEVER AGAIN! I suggest you go somewhere else.

Lady on phone was lovely, prawn chow mein ordered for delivery. Tasty, piping hot, prawns are flavoursome. Also ordered deep fried chicken with garlic. Its mostly batter, there is hardly any chicken, a shame as the dish has potential if there was more chicken, if not for that, would have rated 5 star.

Food was quite nice, wasn't keen on the curry sauce but other than that couldn't really fault it. Delivery was nice and quick and the food was nice and hot.

I've been a regular customer for years, the rice I had delivered was inedible,cold,overfried,chewy and clumpy rang them up to explain and ask for a replacement but they refuse, will never order from here again.

Having discovered this Chinese takeaway last year, when we moved to Wellingborough we have never been disappointed. They do a very good set meal which is great value for money . Friendly staff.

I really love the food here. The bosses are really nice. I really recommend the chicken and mixed vegetables and the sweet and sour pork Cantonese style. There is delivery, which is very quick, and the delivery driver is also very nice. Plus, there is free wi-fi at the take away and the news is on so you can catch up with everything too.

First visit, really tasty authentic food, quick service, not expensive. Will be our new regular I think.

Awful! chow mein was burnt, chips were all chrispy and dry, sweet and sour pork= pork non existent and rice was wet and soggy STAY WELL AWAY!
