Great takeaway, on holiday, called in only 20 min wait for food, special chow mein, special fried rice, s&s king prawn balls, crispy chilli beef, salt and pepper ribs, absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had. Would definitely go again next time we sare in the area

The menu says delivery 3-5 miles. I live 3.9 miles away and they refused to deliver saying it’s too far and the driver won’t do it.

We thought China Diner was great. Friendly service, tasty food. I am vegetarian and usually find Chinese food quite tasteless but this was lovely. Other half loved his duck and pineapple

Do not bother. It was the best Chinese in Bridgnorth, now it is terrible. I am sorry angry after 13 years of using this place. It has really gone down hill. Pancake rolls look like a battered fish!

Ordered takeout and then told when got in shop they only accept cash no cards as I’d got no cash on me I left it on the counter staff should have told me when I was ordering the takeout

Our experience with china diner was BEAUTIFUL. Sadly the restaurant was closed, however the friendly staff let us know they would be able to deliver to our air b&b (which was not in an easy location). They delivered at the time they said they would, food was hot, and very delicious. No grease at all in the curry. Overall an easy order process and the perfect end to our night ⭐️

Ordered at 6 o’clock and de at 1/2 to 8 with on apology!! Not even worth the wait!! They also charge for delivery. Will stick to the Indian in future much better value and service.

This is the second time our order has been delivered with completely the wrong dishes! Meat and rice dishes were wrong so it completely ruined our meal. I rang china diner up but they were very un helpful and very rude to me as if it was my fault!!!!!?? I have heard so many bad things about this restaurant but thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt, will never be using this restaurant again! Avoid!

We ordered a take out for a New Year’s Day evening meal, I wrote my order down so I could make sure everything was ordered correctly. Order arrived and it was missing two key items at which we were instantly disappointed. I rang the restaurant to ask if they could deliver the correct items at which the lady point blank refused to believe me and told me to f*ck off? I could not believe the attitude and aggression I was met with from this lady!!! Will NEVER order from here again! I understand mistakes can be made in a busy kitchen but to resolve the situation would have surly to deliver the items missed not tell me to f*ck off.

Don’t order from this disgusting place! Ordered a meal for the family and half way through the meal I found a small piece of plastic that looked like a microchip!it was melted so clearly been cooked with my meal!? I rang up to complain and was told to F off !I proceeded to get in the car and went back with my food to show them told them I have pictures and I will be reporting them and was marched out of the shop by an aggressive women swearing at me and telling me not to come back!disgusting service and will be taking it further !!!

After 10 years of using them, that's it! Over the past couple of years the meals have been hit and miss, sometimes very good, sometimes awful. Tonight we get processed chicken in a curry - awful!

What has happened to China Diner. The food in here used to be great but we have just had a takeaway this evening and won’t be going back. Everything was deep-fried, greasy and very salty. Really really disappointing

Only ordered takeaways / deliveries from this restaurant, but (if you avoid their ‘Thai’ dishes) the quality of the food had consistently been the best we’ve had in Bridgnorth - and those further afield. Only issue is their requirement for cash only payment.

Ordered a take out for collection, arrived home food was not roasting hot but warm just assumed had cooled down on return home! Curry was a orange colour not like any curry i have had in past however tasted similar, portion sizes not a generous as most places. Have had the most horrendous bad stomach all evening since consuming the food stomach cramps and toilet trip galore, wish i had ordered from usual places! However was recommended from a friend! Never again! Maybe just a bad experience but i have been up all night and stomach is agony!

special curry was not special believe me beef was boiled chicken was horrible never tasted a curry like this also had special chop suey was same meat not very good like water never again. had better from tesco

we ordered the set banquet for two. It was probably the best Chinese takeaway we have had. Not too salty :-) Crispy prawn balls :-) mouth-watering dishes :-) ample portions (we had to keep some!) :-) Great delivery from Bridgnorth to Daniels Mill

Was staying in hotel up the way, ordered from here and wasn’t disappointed! We had house special chow mien and salt and pepper chicken wings, different from our usual Chinese but so flavoursome and tasty and a nice change! Staff are very friendly! Highly recommended

Do not use this restaurant for any takeaway orders they keep mixing up my order week after week but no more they are a shabby restaurant and don’t learn from previous errors.

Never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The food is supberb, definitely the best in the area. The restaurant upstairs is lovely and the staff are very friendly.

As frequent users of the takeaway service we decided to order a home delivery on a Tuesday. We were advised there would be a 45 minute delay.an hour and a half later, the food finally arrived. Needless to say we were really hungry by now! So you can imagine how disappointed - no, annoyed - we were to find the food to be lukewarm and totally tasteless. I don’t mean not very tasty. I mean virtually no taste whatsoever. I had ordered prawn curry and OH had ordered beef curry. I could only tell it was prawn by the shape of the meat whereas OH said he could have been served ANYTHING given the lack of flavour. We will be sticking with Legends from now on.

China Diner is the best chinese in bridgnorth, we always use it. I've never had a bad meal and if there's ever anything missing they go the extra mile to deliver it.

I like China Diner. The delivery staff and Sarah who answers the phone are always polite and deliveries prompt. The food is hot and tasty but I've noticed recently that portions have become smaller. I'd recommend the food but can we have more for our dosh please? Thank you

Had a birthday dinner on Saturday night with the extended family. Lovely food as on the many previous times we'd visited. Duck and Peking Chicken especially fine. Well looked after and they were very good with the young nieces. Highly to be recommended. Look forward to the next meal here.

I treated myself and my partner for a Chinese on a Saturday night. As a snow weekend of chaos I decide to ring up the order around 5.20 before the chaos of a Saturday night delays and waiting. Luckily the woman knows me and i ask for a requested time which was helpful and informed me the delivery man starts after 6 and will let me know if the delivers man can come up to estate no problems due to snow. He rung at 6pm saying he’s on his way and got up my drive no problem and I was gobsmacked it came to a certain price. However the food was spot on the chicken chow mien, chips, curry sauce, chicken balls and prawn crackers we were stuffed and enjoyed it!

Ordered a meal at just before 19.00 but it arrived at 20.30! Not exactly the sort of approx 1 hour stated, nor was it anywhere near hot. If I want a microwaved Chinese dish then one from a freezer will do, if I want freshly cooked good Chinese food the China Diner has been the first choice, however yesterdays experience and a couple less recent have thrown doubts over their delivery service option, they need to improve a lot in that area. Food is still good but having to microwave it spoils the experience.

Great food, great staff. Lovely little, intimate restaurant. Only a few tables upstairs but this makes it warm and cosy.

Had a couple of takeaways from here over the last couple of months and never had any problems. Always collected my meal but they do a delivery service as well.

The entrance to the restaurant, past the takeaway point is a little foreboding and the decor's a bit strange. But get past this and you're in for a treat. The food is excellent- choice, quality and value are all superb, accompanied by a small but adequate wine list. Worthy of note are the Chow Mein, Mongolian lamb and seafood- faultless

We recently visited this restaurant having heard some good reports however this did not live up to expectations, the dining room is situated above the take away part and is very small only seating around 22 people, we were the only ones in the restaurant. it is dated and very tired and could do with a complete refurbishment, food was average and we have had better, also thought it was seriously overpriced at over £40.00 for the 2 of us.

Llevé a mi esposa aquí en un jueves por la noche, y tuvimos una comida hermosa. Había otro comedor 7 personas arriba. Bebimos el proyecto en San Miguel, que era mucho mejor que algunos de los proyecto que he bebido cervezas en este tipo de restaurantes. Tienen una excelente selección de comidas preparadas en el restaurante chino y optamos por la A3. Después de un plato generoso de galletas saladas de cortesía, el primer campo de langostino era ahumado Pollo crujientes y tostadas de sésamo de gambas. El siguiente paso era tortitas pato crujiente, y era la mayor parte de pato que hemos tenido cuando hemos tenido este plato. El plato principal fue carne po, kung estilo Hong Kong, gambas Pollo con verduras y huevo frito con arroz. Decidimos también tienen estilo dulce y agria de cerdo cantones y una porción de verduras de temporada. Toda la comida fue deliciosa y el servicio fue muy amable y muy eficiente. Con una pinta de cerveza cada uno, nuestra factura total fue de £59 - 10, y valió la pena cada céntimo.

Still looks like a run down taxi office outside and the reception area for take-aways are not impressive. Do not be put off .Go upstairs to the ,small, restaurant and enjoy the superb meal. My favourite this time was the Honey beef strips.

The dining room is not typically Chinese but who cares? The menu has all chinese favourites. Quality, portion size and service are excellent.

Had heard some good reviews about China Diner so decided to give it a whirl after passing it on many occasions. First impression wasn't that good as downstairs is the waiting area for the take away and the lady at the counter was rocking a pushchair! Nevertheless we were shown to our table upstairs. It is quite a small area but pleasant enough. Good choice on the menu and complimentary nibbles were bought out very promptly. Good selection on the menu with good size portions not to big and we could easily have shared a side dish instead of having one each. Would visit again.

Lovely welcome from the two ladies front of house. Had a mixed starter to share which was very tasty and good variety. Satay king prawns was my main meal, piping hot with delicious peanut toy taste. Excellent meal, would definitely go again and again.

Receptionist was great really pleasant. Food lemon chicken and egg fried rice was a little dry and over cooked not bad though. Think I will order something different next time

Had a takeaway from here recently, and although it was very good, it's not hitting the heights that it used to. I've had plenty of takeaways from here over the years, and have dined in the restaurant a handful of times, and it was always superb, and justified the higher than average prices. For whatever reason, it's not quite the same now, although the food is still very good

We visited this restaurant early on a Saturday evening. we had booked a table. the service was very good, the staff friendly and helpful. The food however wasn't that good, especially when you look at the prices. We all went for a set menu at £21 per person. The list of starters, mains ect looked good but the portions were quite small and generally didn't taste that good, a bit like re-heated food you get at a certain pub chain. Overall a nice restaurant, Good atmosphere but over priced for the quality of food they serve.

My husband and I Visited this little Chinese with two friends on a lovely summer evening after a few drinks down by the river. It has a takeaway down stairs and a small restaurant up stairs. The food was fantastic, we all ordered a different dish and shared everything was so tasty we didn't leave a thing. Staff and service excellent, I think the best Chinese food I have had, definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant is clean and tidy. The food is prepared very well but fairly simple fare, excellent value for money. The stairway to the restaurant can be difficult for less active people.

Visited at 7:30 pm on a Friday evening. Food and service was excellent it was a shame that we were the only people in the restaurant which is surprising as I think it is the only Chinese restaurant in Bridnorth.Quirky building and really comfortable seating. Would recommend. We will visit again.

Previously visited China Diner for the mid-week offer they had on which was great! Food was piping hot and delicious! Ling is very welcoming and also the waiter is very polite and accommodating too! He is a credit to the owners!Would definitely recommend the restaurant and take away to others in the town.

I visited china diner last week with family including my Elderly Mother. We were a party of 9 and decided to go on a Sunday evening hoping we wouldnt be too many as it is quite small upstairs. How ever we all fitted in nicely on one big table and there were other diners in as well enjoying the ambience.Our food was all served piping hot, the starters and the mains were absolutely delicious everybody ate every single morsel. The service was very efficient, drinks served well chilled, wine waiting for us on the table when we sat down. The owner Ling made such a lovely fuss of my Mom, advising her what she might like to eat just in case she ordered something that might have been a bit too spicy. My Mom however ordered Mandarin duck and enjoyed every mouthful !! At the end of the meal Ling bought my Mom a banana fritter out with a sparkler on it just to make her feel special. My Mom hasnt stopped talking about what a wonderful evening she had there, how gorgeous the food was and how lovely the manager was making so much fuss of us all to ensure our occasion was really special. Thank you Ling and Sarah, although we are regular customers, we always get the same lovely treatment and food, this is why we always come back and send all of our friends to you to enjoy the same wonderful experience !!!!

We go here regularly for takeaway but I went to China diner last week for a family celebration in the restaurant upstairs; there were 9 of us in our party with ages from 4-76! The service we experienced was second to none with my nan being made to feel like the queen and a real fuss being made of her! Nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, so fresh and hot, everybody really enjoyed it, even the children! We will definitely be going again. Highly recommend Szechuan chilli chicken and mandarin duck.

Always had takeaways from here which have always been lovely food:) Recently I went for a meal where me and my girlfriend had the special set menu for £10.99 which was great! The service was great as the staff gave very good customer service and the food was delicious! Definitely will go again!

We went for tea after after a lovely day out.We ordered ribs chicken balls Chicken curry egg fried rice.It was bland not enjoyable.I called Sunday night to complain due to the both of us were bad through the night. Was told that the manager will call us back.Guess what no call back. So I had to call back Monday evening to be told by staff they would call the environmental health. I will call my environmental health tomorrow to get advise. NOT HAPPY

We came here before and I left a favourable review stating that despite the tastiness of the place, the food was really good. So we were looking forward to returning.What a disappointment this time. My King prawns in birds nest was really bland, no veg other than onion despite being advertised otherwise. There was absolutely no flavour to it whatsoever other than large lumps of ginger. My starter pancakes were soggy inside, the pastry totally undercooked and no flavour.Hubby said his was okay but a contradiction to our first visit so this will probably be our last.Final disappointment was £25.60 for 3 gin and tonics - bit steep especially as the tonic was not in individual bottles so was already flat.What a shame.

after eating chinese food for over 30 years i can honestly say its one of the best places ive found to eat in or take away allso the staff are really friendley

We normally get our take away meals from here but on having some friends visit from out of town we went along for meal in this time, the food was fantastic and the service awesome to boot. Great time had by us all

me and my husband have at least 2 takeaways a month from China diner but have not sat in the restaurant for years. Middle of the week we decided to sit in for a change.On arrival we had a very warm and friendly welcome from the waitress and the manageress and was soon seated in the small and cosy restaurant upstairs.Our drinks were soon ordered and bought up prompt with a basket of prawn crackers followed by 2 lovely chilli sauces.Our starters of crispy aromatic duck and king prawn satay was delicious.Duck was so tender and full of flavour went really well with the salad and hon sin sauce in pancakes.the king prawn satay skewers were big fresh and juicy smothered in satay sauce Our mains were sizzling steak in pepper sauce and sizzling four seasons manderin special with house special vermicelli and salt and pepper chips. All of the food was cooked perfectly. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of house red wine with the meal and thought it was all excellent it's by far the best Chinese in town.We thought the service was brilliant considering they were very busy with takeaways.the phone was constantly ringing and they really couldn't do enough to make sure we were all happy. Another table was in when we got there and the manageress bought the lady out a cake as it was her birthday.Thanks China diner for a really nice evening. We'll be definitely be back soon.

Me and my family and friends have been coming here regularly for years and have never had a bad experience, some times on a weekend there is a bit of a wait but that's to be expected with fresh food cooked to order, so we are happy to wait knowing that the quality food we are going to get is well worth it! The manageress is very passionate and you can see that she works very hard. Having read the reviews on here I'm have to say some people just find things to moan about, for example if you live 5 minutes away why moanAbout the delivery time and not pick it up yourself!! And as for the allegation of food poisoning I hope they got it verified from the doctor that is was food poisoning and was caused by rice, as this is slanderous. Please don't be put off by a few moaning Minnie's and give China diner a shot ;)

When we arrived the manageress was pretty much ignoring us even though we had a table booked. After 10 minutes instead of greeting us she just pointed at us and told the waiter to seat us. She had a frosty expression and came across really rude. When my friends were asking her questions about the wine she was very snappy. i, who is pregnant just had a soft drink. When it arrived the coke was flat so i asked to change it. The bowls and plates on our table we dirty so we asked to change that, the waiter did not seem to be impressed. Once our food had arrived the rice (which all 3 of us was going to share) didn't look or smell right. My friend had already put abit on her plate and said it didn't taste right and my other friend tried a spoonful and commented that there was definitely something wrong with it. I told the waiter that they can take it back to the kitchen as we weren't going to eat it, my friend already some on her plate and decided to keep that. The main was ok but would of tasted better with some rice. Once we had finished eating the female Chinese chef had come upstairs to us. She asked if the food was ok and we said yes. She commented on us returning the rice, she said that there was nothing wrong with it and we were used to Indian style rice. I found this to be very patronizing.The next day I got a message off the friend who I went to the restaurant with, she had food poisoning really bad. As I was ok and so was my other friend we had put it down to her eating the rice which was left on her plate. Luckily food poisoning from rice isn't so damaging and only lasts 24 hours but could of been a lot worse for me if I had eaten it because of being pregnant. I seriously don't regret sending the rice back to the kitchen now even if i did receive some horrible looks off the manageress.My friend had contacted the restaurant about her food poisoning but never got a reply.Its a shame that the experience i had was so bad as this is my local Chinese and have been many of times. I will not return again and would advise anyone to do the same. There are loads of other local restaurants which deserve the custom and give out a great experience. I also think the manageress should really take up some lessons in customer service as she is an AWFUL HOST.

I have been to China Diner many times for take outs & meals, & the good has always been wonderful. However tonight was extremely disappointing. Firstly the atmosphere, the manageress was waiting on tonight & everyone at our table found her to be snappy & in general very rude. We had serval problems with our meals & drinks & she did not come over to apologise once. Instead sent the waitress up & gave us dead eye as she walked around the room. It was awkward to say the least. The rice we ordered was half warm & stale. Like it had been sat under a heat lamp for a long time too as the top inch was dry & rock hard. The waiter was lovely he kept asking if our food was okay & took it away no problem. The waitress then came over & proceeded to tell us that we were too used to Indian rice & Chinese rice is ment to be that way. We were insulted, I never eat Indian & I'm not accustomed to Chinese rice being stale. The starters were lovely & so were the mains they just weren't as enjoyable without the rice. One of the female cooks brought us the bill & she really is lovely, her & the waiter compliment the place they really care about the customers being happy. The manageress however, unprofessional, rude, probably shouldn't work in a job that deals with the public as her lack of people skills really is shocking! It's such a shame things are going pear shaped it can be amazing on top form.

Dined here twice before and had many take aways but this time it was abit of a nightmare.Ordered by phone delivery 40 to 60 min,,,,90 min later the food arrived two dishes were cold and personally I wasn't impressed with the quality.As somebody else has said they are not the cheapest chinese food in bridgnorth so I don't think after this occasion we will dine or order again

Very nervous walking into the place and seeing how tatty it is. But very clean! Silly as it sounds I think they've over cleaned everything which has resulted in stripping it bare and it looking worn.The food was a different story. Beautiful, tasty, hot, excellent quality. An hour and 15 minutes delivery time when i live five minutes away? Seriously could have walked there, cooked it myself, and walked back quicker.

Not brilliant. Food was tasty but over priced. You have to pay for rice or chips in addition to the main meal. Chips arrived first followed by a delay bringing the chow mein and curry. Rice arrived last after waitress said she would go and remind the cook. We were the only 2 customers there at the time! Decor needs re-vamping. Come on China Diner spend a bit of money on the place to make eating there a really good experience.

Tonight 4 of us went to this restaurant with high hopes. The family I went with had glowing reports, having used this establishment many times before. It was a bit of a last minute decision so when we called at 5pm, we were quite surprised that we could book a table at 7.30pm on a Saturday night.When we turned up there were 2 other tables, so including us 7 covers in total. Our drink orders were taken within about 5 minutes and came quite promptly. We then ordered the food, the C2 set menu for 4.I must say the first course of spare ribs & prawn toast were excellent. The waitress was then brought up to the table by what appeared to be the Manageress, who was pointing to an extra plate that had been served on our table. She was telling her that it should have been on another order & pointing to it right I front of my face. Not only was it rude for us but telling off a member of staff in front of customers unprofessional.Next came the soup, served in soup bowls with no saucer and a normal desert spoon sticking out the top. Where was the Chinese soup spoons? Unfortunately then came the duck & pancakes. Pancakes were cold, duck overcooked and not at all shredded and also tepid. The poor waitresses looked embarrassed when we complained and then the Manageress arrived. We were told that it was normal for both to be cold, the fact that "if we knew Chinese food we would know that" and was utterly insulting to our group. Begrudgingly she offered to replace them - the next lot were no better and this is where we called a halt to proceeding.The thought of eating tough & cold duck was bad enough but we couldn't face the mains. The waitresses were great and so apologetic- they were both new but obviously are going to have many more evenings like this. We had been there for 2 hours, only 4 more people had been in & quickly out and when we left at 9.30pm the restaurant had been empty for half an hour.Finally to cap it off, the manageress never even showed her face to apologise to us & left it to the waitress to sort everything out.Final Comments : poor food, unprofessional manageress, no atmosphere, steer well clear if you want an enjoyable night

Had dinner with Hubbie & kids early evening, great food, friendly staff & relaxed comfortable little upstairs dining room, my favourite Chinese in the area

Have eaten a couple of times ( take aways) which are of the highest standard I have come across. We had been told how good it was and would highly recommend. There is a small seated restuarant and I believe you should reserve a tableif you wish to eat in.

Eaten here many times - same consistent high quality food and service every time. Cannot fault. Sometimes waiting times can be up to an hour, however this is compensated for with high food quality and friendly customer service.

Love this place when ever I get a take away in Bridgnorth it's got to be China Dina! The food is amazing and always delivered on time! We decided to eat in last night as we were having a few drinks in the pub next door, the black horse! It was about 22.00 when we went in the lady was very helpful and advised on what was good dishes as I was very undecided on what to have! The prawn crackers was the best I've ever had! We also had crispy duck, chow main and ribs in chilli sauce that were to die for! Bit pricy but definitely worth it!

Whilst staying in Bridgnorth the extended family always make a point of eating at The China Dinner, due to the consistent high standards, good service and generous portion sizes, and our recent trip was no exception.Six adults and three nieces aged around three were all catered for well, and the staff looked after us in their usual friendly and efficient way.Starters included a delicious lettuce wrap vegetable dish, hot and sour soup, and a mixed hors d'ouevres of chinese starters.A generous portion of half a duck was demolished quickly by the girls.Mains included a tasty crisp and flavoursome take on the takeaway favourite of sweet and sour battered chicken, and the beef in yellow bean sauce was amongst the other mains which were especially praised. Egg fried rice portions had plenty of egg in it, which I always associate with the better examples of this dish served in a Chinese restaurant.Highly to be recommended, and a meal here has formed one of the culinary highlights of our trips to Shropshire for over ten years.

Visited the restaurant and upon arrival informed the staff that we had to leave at 7, we arrived at 5:30. After ordering straight away, the drinks received were flat and overpriced. The starter of soup no one ate and the duck was small, as well as overpriced again. The duck wasn't crispy but mostly fatty, even the children complained how little there was. Chinese is my favourite food, therefore normally I struggle to find faults. We finished our starter within 10 minutes, it was at least instantly cleared, then we waited for our main. Although it was a Saturday night, it was early and not busy at all, with only one other table in the restaurant, therefore there was no excuse, nor did they seem busy with takeaways. After continuously reminding (politely) that we needed to have left the restaurant by 7 we were constantly replied by 'it will only be a few minutes' The waitress was polite and dealt well with the situation, it wasn't her fault but was the only thing that made the visit bare-able. Although most the time she seemed to be looking after the children there, mostly telling them to get out the restaurant. Finally at 6:55 we decided to go downstairs as we had to ask for our food to be packed up, when it was apparently on the way. Although it would be impossible to eat in 5 minutes, especially with children eating. In return for not being able to eat our food, not drinking our drinks, nor eating half the starter, we didn't get anything in return such as the price knocked off. When we got home, I tried the food for the main, didn't like any of it. Too late to return and complain, as if we ate in the restaurant could have said. All the sauces were thick, small portions, very little meat, I wouldn't mind too much but it was also over priced. Waste of money, never will return, steer clear! Recently this place has really gone down hill. Ruined our might. Tips - for sit down meal chinese in bridgnorth go Legends or take away Shanghai do deliveries, extremely friendly, even to outskirts of town and Kum Tong is a good alternative take away.

we used to use China Diner alot for takeaways, quite awhile ago, but then found the food became lacking in taste and presentation so stopped ordering..... however a friend told me recently that the food had improved so we ordered one last night. I have to say it was lovely and extremely tasty and presented with obvious care. I will definitely order again and hope they continue to be as good.

Very good food, certain things on the menu are a little over priced but it was very good food, just a pity they don't deliver as far out as us. But would definitely eat here again.
