Had a takeaway tonight and possibly the best I've had in shrewsbury. Props to the chef 👏

Food was good. However the guy on the front counter is disgusting rude & arrogant. Not just to me, but an old lady in front of me who clearly had a speech difficulty & was vile towards her & threw her change at her (ambulance crew in at the same time witnessed this behaviour). When I asked if I could paye by card & he slammed the card reader on the counter & again was very rude... clearly an issue to pay by card as sign say "cash only"....maybe fiddling the books !!! Sack the guy on the counter & I'm sure you will have a greater clientele.

We have had many,many meals from here and we keep on going back as every meal is always delicious. Well done Peking Garden.

Again another fantastic takeaway from Peking Garden and delivered really fast. Can't fault any on the meals, super delicious, recommend this place A +++++

Our go to Chinese takeaway spot, you can always count on for good noodles and crispy chilli beef 🤘🏻 if I had to say one thing, it would be that sometimes the sweet and sour sauce is a bit running but only sometimes

Excellent food, first take away order. The man on the counter was a bit abrupt. Would definitely use again and hopefully the man serving might be a bit more friendly. A busy night so maybe a bit stressed out.

Good food, good prices and service is OK. Delivery is usually quite quick even at busy times.

Akways use and never had Any reason to complain but just had delivery and very disappointing it was cold Happy Meal No Sauce or chicken very dry !!!had to add our own sauce very disappointed!!! Prawn crackers stale ?? Never had to complain before!!

Our local Chinese, which never fails to deliver. Good food and quick service. But the worst prawn crackers I've ever had! So my review unfortunately will take it down a star. Please get better prawn cracker they are to thin and greasey.

Sorry but I really didn't enjoy the food. The spare ribs were OK but the duck dish had far too much fat on it which wasn't cooked but the meat attached to it was strangely overcooked! It went in the bin. The prawn crackers were too greasy and I only ate 1. The rest went in the bin, too.

Always great food and generous portions, we've been coming here for years. Can't find anything negative to say about the place, and they like cash, which is a massive bonus! Cash is king!!! 💷

Not great. If you're in catering you need to familiarise yourself with terms like vegetarian and vegan. Egg in your noodles is not vegan. Also, the food has a distinct chemical flavour. Found it in both types of spring rolls and the noodles. Might be because food is mass produced and purchased in bulk frozen.

We had our first delivery from Peking Garden tonight. The food arrived well within the estimated 55mins, was hot and sooooo tasty. We've tried quite a few Chinese takeaways who deliver, generally via JustEat / FoodHub, but Peking Garden beat them hands down!! You do have to order direct from them to get a delivery, but very easy to do on their website. The flavours & quality of all the dishes we had were really high quality and this is now our top choice for takeaway / delivery from now on. Thanks Peking Garden for a fabulous first meal from you! Definitely not our last!

Great service. Had large order for a family event. Was able to preorder in advance. Food arrived on time, hot & no errors or things left out, which was amazing considering it was a large order. Can highly recommend food delicious & generous portions.

Been coming for years and normally very good. Must have changed the type of chicken they use for the chow mein etc and sadly now very poor, jelly like meat. Won’t return.

That was the best beef curry beef chow mein spring rolls chip's in the Shrewsbury area. Tasted fresh and clean obviously precooked beef, but genuinely the four of us loved it. Clean plates. Definitely order from here again. Thanks very much .

The service was fast but both of us were not impressed with the food. The chicken in both of our dishes (chicken chow mein and chicken & pineapple with egg fried rice) was mushy and a very unappetising texture. The flavours were also pretty bland. The spring rolls are filled mostly with bean sprouts and very little else. The whole meal put us off and we probably won't be back.

No my normal choice of Chinese takeaways but omg the food was amazing it will be definatly my first choice from now on if it’s good quality food give them a try

From someone who eats a lot of Chinese food i can't fault the place. Food is always amazing, the time you have to wait is reasonable, the guy that runs the place is pleasant and the girl with the tattoos who takes the orders is lovely. Customer experience is always 10 out of 10 👌 Only downside is you can't order online and its so good it can be difficult to get through on the phone

Worst restaurant I have ever been to. I phone ordered and after parking noticed I was being watched by someone in the next car, I went in stated my name so they knew who I was and waited. I was then confronted by the delivery driver because I was taking up to much room with my vehicle the man turned out to be the delivery driver who was abusive, rude and eventually threatening. the owner did nothing despite me asking him to both step in and after I complained ignored me. Despite my better judgement I collected my food which was luke warm and lacking meat. Do not use this establishment.

Excellent Chinese food. Would highly recommend. Portion sizes are generous and I can't say I've had a bad meal when I've gone in. Man at the desk is pleasant and the orders do not take too long to be made up.

Just had delivery usually food excellent but last time not as good as usually thought may e a one off !!! Just had delivery again special Cantonese sweet and sour !!! What can I say how you manage to get pea size piece of batter and fit the smallest amount of meat in is beyond me and the special fried rice hasn't seen any sesame oil or a wok ever and no small peices of meat or prawns !!!very very dissapointed!!! But I will say the ribs were excellent sad it wasn't all good like it should be

I've used many Chinese/Cantonese takeaways in Shrewsbury and this is the best one. Always good food, I've never been disappointed. Fairly priced too.

Egg fried rice was bright yellow with no egg in it. Chicken balls were like leather, sweet and sour sauce was like water ..all in all food completely tasteless. £8 wasted!

My local takeaway, moving to Shrewsbury a year ago I've had to try a few places round here and my rating always goes by the taste of the BBQ sauce and it's great full marks from me and won't go anywhere else now x

I have been eating from the Peking Garden for many years and have never had a bad meal it's always bean excellent I have tried several other Chinese takeaways but have never found one better than Peking Garden. If you have never tried a takeaway from the Peking Garden then I highly recommend that you do and I'm sure you'll agree that it is the best in town

Best place in town for chinese and friendliness

Ordered family take away Monday 29th Oct. Because our usual takeaway was closed. Myself & my son have been feeling unwell from Tues onwards. Me with quite bad stomach pains & runs. My son & I had the sweet & sour chicken balls, yung chow fried rice & pancake rolls between us. On verge of mild food poisoning I think. Will admit that wife is a veggie so didn't have same food & daughter has not been 100% since the meal. Tasted ok but obviously absolute Chinese rubbish !!!! Keep away folks.

We visit Shrewsbury about 4 times a year to go to a dog show, we stay in a B&B and always order this chinese who deliver to our room. The food is always lovely and the service good. 5/5 from us!

Picked up takeaway menu today starter Peking Spare ribs. These melted in your mouth and a generous portion. Beef in ginger and spring onions ate the lot fantastic and again generous portion with plenty of beef. I just love onions too Lemon chicken that too was amazing Plus chips. Well home made we could not eat them as so full with starter and main. We had the chips later for supper. Whole meal fantastic piping hot. Well done thank you.

Excellent menu and the food was above average.

I live half way across town to this restaurant and there are plenty between here and there. However they all are nowhere near as good and is well worth the travel. The menu is great, the food is fantastic and they deliver too. I have used them for along time and they consistently deliver the same quality time after time.

One of my favourite chineses for years, would reccomend "chilli salt chips or chilli salt chicken" if you like spice. :)

Live in Kent but if I go to Shrewsbury then this is where I will go if I want Cantonese, best place ever give the salt and chilli platter a go... Thank me later

First visit and tried something different to what I would normally eat if I were having Chinese. Had Szechuan chicken, unfortunately it lacked any real flavour. Egg fried rice was a bit lacking as well.

My family and I use Peking Garden weekly. We have food delivered to our home. Food freshly made and good quality too. I recommend chicken curry and egg fried rice. They also do English dishes too and a good menu to choose from. Spoiled for choice really.

Not what it used to be! Quality has certainly gone down. Twice we have had to send food back as it was far below the good quality we were used to. The black bean sauce was very thick and more gravy like and the cantanese sweet & Sour Chicken was inedible.
