Best Chinese takeaway in the town for me

We always use this Chinese takeaway. Food is excellent and portions are good.

I wish I could give this more than 1 star but we ordered 5 items from the menu and all 5 were awful. Honestly, I would say the frozen selection at Iceland would have been better and at 1/3 the cost.

Good sweet & sour chicken balls and rice

Reason for all 1 star, was the food was terrible. Ordered barbecue spare ribs, that were dry and tasteless, definitely microwaved. Ordered the chicken chow mein, hardly any chicken, again very boring and tasteless. Why did I even bother paying £17. Very disappointing, why can’t they just be proud in what the serve.

Great Chinese takeaway – tasty food, quick service!

DELICIOUS. Best Singapore fried rice I’ve ever had. Friendly staff, Sia (I hope I spelled it correctly) is a sweetheart. I’m always looking forward to popping in for a nice takeaway dinner.

I have used this takeaway for a few years now but as of late I've noticed the portion sizes have gone a lot smaller like chicken and special Currys with it mainly now being sauce, onions and peas plus also at one point included rice or chips but now doesn't and now they charge you 5p a bag to take your meal home I do understand prices everywhere has gone up but I do find this act a bit penny pinching

Similar to the previous review. I'm from Birmingham where we are used to loads of really good takeaways. We've lived in Shrewsbury since 2021 and struggled to find a good Chinese takeaway until now! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from here on Monday and you will have a repeated customer in us. Really friendly staff, high quality food, and most importantly great flavors and actually spicy!! Absolutely delicious Chinese takeaway. One of the nicest I've had and I've lived in Birmingham and London and can't seem to find a takeaway as nice as this one.

Ordered a Kung Pao Prawn and instead was given an omelette. Didn’t even bother checking back cause knew it would be pointless. Rubbish

Tried Eatwise after trying out most of the rest Chinese takeaways in Shrewsbury but found this excellent had beef curry with fried rice etc and it was excellent good service and nice and hot when I got home will be using them for all my Chinese takeaways in the future so would highly recommend them

I have not used the takeaway for a while now it was always most excellent ( moved) but went the other day and O Such joy the wonderful taste generously portioned food and clean welcoming atmosphere in my opinion the best in town

Ordered a vegetarian meal - 2 x garlic mushrooms - we got one with lots of beef in and one with what looked like little bits of pork. When complained they didn’t offer a refund, which would’ve been preferred as to be honest it completely put us off the food Offered to recook the garlic mushrooms, which meant driving out again (40 min round trip) which meant the rest of our food had to be re heated. Would not trust ordering from here again. And very disappointed. Also put in free prawn crackers - I’m guessing as an apology... PRAWN crackers for vegetarians 🙄

We ordered a chicken satay and chicken in black bean sauce. The food was very tasty and the portion size was good too. The main reason I have scored it as average, both dishes had far too many onions in them and I love onions.

We have tried all the Chinese takeaways in the area and have to admit that this is probably the best but we would rate wok king as a close second.

Was on way home and struggling to find a takeaway on a saturday night at prime time. Service was within half an hour. Good staff, good waiting facilities and a range of good food. The sausage and chips for the child were good quality.

Have used them for years and the food and service has always been very good. Can't understand the handful of negative reviews as I've never had a bad experience here (and I'm a discerning diner!). Trust the bulk of the reviews which are 5 star :)

We bought two set meals for 6 of us B and B1. They were delicious, beautifully cooked and so much. Service with a smile and not too pricey. Best Chinese by far.

Very pleased to find this place after having tried 5 or 6 other Chinese takeaways in Shrewsbury and not having ideal experiences. Very impressed with the dishes I've tried, but particularly the lemon chicken since the other places screwed it up. My compliments to the chefs if they are reading :)

Popped in here on a Sunday evening to pick up dinner. The service was polite and the wait for our food wasn’t long at all. The food was freshly cooked, this was evident in the chips which you could tell had come straight out of the fryer - delicious. Although they don’t have the most exciting vegetarian options, they were done well and the vegetables seemed fresh. Will definitely be back!

This is a great Chinese/Cantonese takeaway. They even let me bring the dog in to order. My favourites are the Singapore fried rice & the Szechuan Beef dishes. Very tasty and prepared quickly. It's cash only

Thought we would try this place again despite order being wrong last time. Ordered and said would pick up in 20 minutes. Called back and order not ready. Had to wait another 5 minutes. Customer service very poor. Ordered a beef curry with fried rice and chicken with onions. Beef was like eating rubber and never even looked like beef. Gave it the dog and he would not eat it either. Fried Rice was good. Chicken dish was ok but far too many onions. This place used to be first class but now you dont know if it will be good or bad. Very hit and miss. Mandarin at Frankwell for me from now on. Always consistent and good portions.

I am incredibly fussy and have tried a multitude of Chinese takeaways in my time. I cannot fault this one. They are honest with their times. They adhere to requests and the service is fantastic. That is not to mention the food is always too notch be it a quiet Wednesday or a busy Saturday. I have used them for many months and will continue to do so.

2 trips to eatwise have both proven ‘O.K’ but nothing more and that at best.At first I was excited about a small, family run business in an area with no competition. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.First visit was a BBQ spare rib and Singapore chow mien. Both were ok but there were issues. The ribs had clearly been flash fried last minute and were tough, overly quick cooking also sat with the noodles as it seemed like a load of separate flavours instead of a dish. It was a Wednesday night though...Saturday night was unfortunately more of the same. Salt and chilli king prawn was mainly burning from excessive clove and star anise flavour. Not a hint of chilli at all. I opted for the sauce laden special fried rice and the only conclusion I have is: this was pre-prepared rice, not fried and soaked in a bland sauce. Not offensive but far from exciting either.Overall it’s more my disappointment rather than performance. This is a run of the mill takeaway and that’s not a bad thing.

Price confirmed.Picked up and found a Fried Rice dish missing.Phoned up and was told to come back and pick it up.NO APOLOGY!This place has good food if they get order right!!Wont go back again. I ordered mushroom omilette and chips and I really enjoy the food and it is one of the best omilettes I've had and the staff were really friendly and I would definitely recommend earwigs to anyone.

Needed a quick evening meal between work appointments and tried here as it was just down the road. Quick, friendly (even humorous!) service and tasty food. The chef's specials are decent portions and great value if eating solo as they incorporate a main and rice or noodles!

I don't know how one reviewer thinks it's the best in Shrewsbury. I had one meal and that was enough to know I'll be trying elsewhere.

Después de pasar 20 libras en tan mala comida volveré en otro hotel la próxima vez. No puedo perder más riesgo de mi dinero ganado duro.
