Had lunch with friends at the Manor Parc. The food was delicious and presented perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive. Always feels like a treat and nothing is too much trouble. If you are looking for a family run business with good values and principles then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a boozy lunch, dinner then possibly try the chains which aren't too far away.

Although we live local we haven’t been to the New inn for a Sunday lunch in years. We called in on the off chance today, even though we hadn’t booked and they were very busy they managed to accommodate us in the bar area where our dogs were also made very welcome. There weren’t any vegan options advertised for the Sunday lunch however they managed to rustle up a complete dinner and separate gravy which was all absolutely delicious. My wife and kids had the regular roasts and all said their food was faultless. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were very friendly. Would 100% recommend and we look forward to going again.

Your afternoon tea was bought for us as a gift. We booked a table one month ago for 3pm on the 6th February 2020. Having made a special journey into Cardiff, we arrived at 2.45pm only to be told that there was no evidence of our booking on your system. After much deliberation with the chef, the lady on reception was able to squeeze us in. After our table was prepared, we were shown to a dark and cold dining room. We were the only diners. The lady was very helpful and we were able to choose sandwiches from a small selection. They were freshly prepared albeit only three fingers each. The tea was fine, but the small scones were not home-made (disappointingly) and the cream was squirty and not as advertised in one of your previous review replies as being clotted cream. We asked about this and were told that clotted is not an option. So we made do with butter. The three small (and we mean small) pieces of cake were dry and bore no resemblance to those advertised on your website. We left most of them. All in all, the worst afternoon tea experience that we have ever encountered. Atmosphere was poor and would have preferred sitting in the warm lounge area.

Weren't sure what time we would get there so we ordered 2 takeaway Sunday vegetarian lunches at £13 each. What we got was enough for 2 meals each! Nut loaf, veggie sausage, veggie stuffing, cauliflower cheese, 6 other veg, a tub of onion gravy each and a Yorkshire pud. The veg were not over cooked and everything tasted good. So - good food, well cooked, good portions at a bargain price! Conclusion; we'll be back on Wednesday for curry night!

Ideal for refreshments after a small funeral (20-25 people) - in the conservatory area, A very good selection of sandwiches, and hot buffet of sausage rolls, quiche, pizza and an Indian platter. Tea and coffee was ready when we arrived and the buffet laid out shortly afterwards. Mark was attentive throughout, taking drinks orders and checking we had everything we needed. Excellent service !

Diane and the girls were super accommodating and helpful, even with last minute additional numbers joining the family party! ALL the food was obviously cooked fresh with generous portions. Very tasty too! We've had several visits and never disappointed. Welll done ladies and a big thank you for making it a lovely evening.

Used to be excellent- no longer the case. Food was ok, the service was on a par with Basil Fawlty crossed with Julie Walters in the ‘2 Soups’ comedy sketch. We had booked a table for 4 on Saturday evening. We were taken to our table to find a different waitress had just taken 2 other people to it. They were told to move somewhere else by the guy showing us to the table. Everything was done properly with space between tables although the place was quite empty anyway. We placed our order with the waitress, who didn’t seem very competent. I questioned whether they had taken every order on the table. We checked and they said yes but then 15 minutes later came over to say they only had orders for 3 main courses. It took 3 attempts to get a wine list and 5 attempts to get some water. The waitress brought out the starters and said ‘I’m not sure what they are, but here you go’. A little training might be worthwhile. At some point a waitress brought us out 2 main courses of pork chops. We hadn’t ordered those so sent them away. The main course didn’t arrive for about an hour by which point they had apologised that they had forgotten us and offered free deserts on the house. After waiting ages for the plates to be cleared from the table and asking for the desert menu we gave up and went to the desk to pay as we thought it would take ages for them to bring it to the table. That in turn was eventful, they tried to give us the wrong bill for 2 different tables. In the end we just agreed to a bill that resembled some of the food we had eaten, paid and left. Total incompetence from start to finish, but well worth it if you want free table side entertainment.

Went for a family celebration in the function room for a 3 course lunch, overall would give it 4 stars. 5 stars for the starter which was about the nicest prawn cocktail, 3 star for the dessert, sticky toffee, which smacked of being mass produced was somewhat dry and don't see the point of these fancy little saucepans used to hold the custard, which held about two spoons full. I would give the beef main course 4 stars, the gravy was thin and the two little roasties looked rather sad on the plate, the rest of the veg and beef was very tasty, The staff were nice but thought £9.99 for a glass of wine pricey.
