Celebrated an 18th birthday at the Three Horseshoes. Despite numerous adjustments we requested on menu items (fussy eaters!) nothing was too much trouble for the brilliant staff. The food arrived hot, was plentiful and delicious! Highly recommend visiting here!

Lovely cosy local pub. Fire was lit this cold winters night which made it even more cosy. All tables were reserved on a Wednesday evening so just shows how popular this place is, so glad I had booked! Service was prompt and food was worth waiting for, all homecooked and hot, all done to perfection and very tasty with very good portions of meàt! Drinks very reasonably priced. Very much recommend and look forward to coming back! Thankyou x

We just wanted to leave a review to say we were blown away by Santa in Treowen this evening. The effort the horseshoes went to was exceptional. Having booked a large meal in the conservatory this month and thoroughly enjoyed it, the Santa train just made us even more eager to return. Well done all, outstanding x

The food was amazing. Had hunters chicken and it was lush. My family had lasagna and said it was lush aswell. It was £33 with drinks and it was totally worth it. The service was good aswell. I recommend this restaurant/bar very much

On the 21st February 2023 it was my Mother’s funeral. The ceremony was held at the new Sirhowy Crematorium Blackwood. Knowing the “Three Horse Shoes” for many years but not visited the pub recently, its close location to the Crematorium meant it was our first port of call for my Mother’s funeral refreshments. As a family it was the right decision. Mark and his team did us proud with a wonderful caring welcome and served us a great buffet which I would describe as Lucullan. We have no reservations about recommending this wonderful local village pub not only for good pub food but for a gathering of 60 people it is a great venue for a party or like us a funeral repast. Excellent pub/restaurant serving up really good food in a relaxed and friendly environment. The steak pie was terrific.

We had family visiting us for my husbands birthday and decided we`d take them out for a celebration dinner. I`m so glad we chose The Three horseshoes, There were eight of us in total. Some were vegetarians too. What a wonderful welcome we were given, a cosy fire in the open grate, an impressive menu that catered for all our tastes and the food was piping hot and wonderful.

Brilliant, friendly, and unruffled service for the Festive Menu! The food was so well cooked, the vegetables were perfect and served with plenty of meat and gravy! There was another group dining un the conservatory, but no one had to wait. The tariff was reasonable, under £30 for 3 generous courses!

Great pub grub. A gem of a place. Good food and friendly staff. The landlord Mark could not be any more friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. We now frequent the restaurant on a regular basis.

Garbage. The Sunday roast is very basic and bland. Not the worst I’ve had but I wouldn’t return or recommend. Go to The Islwyn Inn in near by Wyllie instead.

Visiting the Three Horseshoes with 9 friends the meals were ordered but on arrival there was a mix up with two of the meals, trying to sort it out with the staff we were told that he was busy down stairs and to sort it out ourselves. Nice....so instead of taking the meals back to the kitchen to sort out we were left with two people with the wrong steak and some veg on the wrong plates ,not wanting to mess each other's meals up we left them as they came out .so there were two disappointed diners There was no apology from the staff Also there was a very strong smell of urine on the stairs by the gents toilet .

Me encanta este pequeño pub . Este hotel es una pequeña joya con un personal muy amable. La buena comida que sirven la mayoría de los días. Ellos hacen un gran almuerzo de los domingos. Creo que no hay muchos pubs que sirven el almuerzo de domingo que podría superar el Three Horseshoes .Merece la pena una visita. Sería aconsejable reservar ya que siempre está lleno.

Queríamos ir a la hora del almuerzo con mis suegros y necesitábamos un poco de inspiración. Encontramos este pequeño tesoro en TripAdvisor y messaged Facebook a ellos a través de sus opciones vegetarianas. respondieron a mi mensaje a menos de 20 minutos. Tan pronto como entramos en el bar nos recibieron y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Había dos reales de cervezas de barril y parece que van rotando con regularidad basado en la bomba de mano etiquetas colgadas del bar. La pizarra menú estaba lleno de arriba a abajo con las opciones y el encargado se ofreció a llevar las pizarras a nuestra mesa para hacer una selección más fácil. La comida estaba recién preparada y casera, todos disfrutamos inmensamente. Buena relación calidad-precio, buena comida, buena cerveza y buena compañía. ¿Qué más se puede pedir?

Solíamos ir a una monington Lodge para la cena, pero se informó de que el propietario Marc había iniciado un nuevo pub así que decidí darle una visita. Era una calurosa bienvenida por Marc y Claire cuando llegué allí.La comida fue excelente y buenas raciones ( bistec era increíble, el personal es muy amable y muy atento. Estupenda ubicación para una buena comida y algunas bebidas. Es altamente recomendado.

Very friendly staff and locals. Really good pub food, try the pies they are fab!!The bar is small but very cozy and friendly, but they do have a conservatory for larger groups.

couldn't get a table where we usually have sunday dinner,but stopped here on the off chance,& were able to get a table,even though it wasn't in the conservatory area,we were in the very welcoming bar area with friendly locals & the staff were very friendly & welcoming,definatley go there again

Excellent pub with good range of simple but well cooked food. Particularly like the fish and chips. Good staff who are very welcoming. The quiz night is always well attended and good fun. Highly recommend.

We had a family surprise meal here for my daughters anniversary, there were 30 of us in all, we ordered our meal choices in advance and we were served more or less together, with just a small delay on the tables, which considering the amount of meals and the number of staff was really good, everyone's meal was satisfactory, as far as I know there were no complaints. We had children present too and they loved the home made chips, me too. We would defiantly go there again.

Although the pub was very full, with a few largish parties, the service and the quality of our roast beef dinner was excellent. Very nice puddings too. Will definitely visit again.

We visited here on 17th January to have a birthday meal for my mum's 75 birthday! :) We were seated on a large table to sit 12 in the conservatory at the back of the inn. It was nice to have a backdrop of snow in the background due to us having snow the previous evening!We didn't have to wait long for food, not all of us had starters but those who did really enjoyed them! Our lunch was lovely and well prepared and we had some fabulous home made chips! Rare to find places that actually do real chips and not the frozen rubbish that some places offer! :)Most of us had desserts which we thoroughly enjoyed! Service was excellent, we didn't catch the young girls name but she was very accommodating to us all! :) Won't hesitate to book another family meal here again!

I have been to the three horse shoes on several occasions, and though the food is tasty and well prepared, I always come away from there feeling hungry, as do the company we go with.Very friendly staff, and conservatory is lovely for a celebration.

I recently visited this pub, on a workforce Christmas get together. I wasn't expecting much in the way of quality after previous experiences at various venues. What a shock I had in store!!! The meal was absolutely delicious well cooked and plentiful. It far exceeded my expectation with all three courses eaten with relish. Looking at other meals being served, this is definitely a venue for future dining. Good value, well cooked and tasty food. You cant go wrong here, well worth a try.

I'm here all the time, mark will read this and know it's me! I'm fortunate enough to be out and about all day at work so I occasionally stop here for a coffee (and if I get time a bite to eat) while having a break and booting up on my laptop, the food is great quality and value and they make a brilliant coffee. Friendliest atmosphere I've seen whether you're a total stranger or a regular, this is true especially with how the staff (won't mention any names incase I forget anyone) are brilliant at looking after you. I've never heard anybody complain once the entire time I've been coming here!

This pub restaurant has a really homely feel about it. A party of five of us booked quite late in the day. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We all ordered different meals and all were very tasty. My son highly recommended the ribs and the deserts were also really nice (toffee waffle and ice cream in particular).
