The new chef is amazing. Took a friend for lunch today, we had the chefs special and it was absolutely delicious 😋

Decided to eat after my enjoyable round of golf here. What a delightful welcome from the staff at the resteraunt.I enjoyed a first class meal and superb service in the most ambient atmosphere. I look forward to dining here again.

Popped in tonight for a drink. Service was good. Reasonable prices and a superb terrace area. Will go back very soon for a meal.

I booked a table for 8 of my badminton friends at the golf club only myself had been there before,we had a lovely warm welcome, drinks were brought to the table,the food came quickly and was piping hot and delicious our food ranged from, curry,brie and beetroot tarts,ham ,eggs and chips, jacket potato with tuna,every body were thrilled with the food and excellent service nothing was too much trouble for the two staff which were on duty,,four people had different desserts which were all delicious, think you will have some new customers from this visit ,thank you once again ,sorry if they were a little bit noisy.

We visited the course as we were restricted to Newport courses under Covid rules. I have to say it was by far the best place we visited in regard to marshalling those rules. Despite the rules you move quickly through the system, the service was really good. The course was in fabulous condition and it does test you with water all over the place. It’s quite a short course but it is full of surprises. All in all we had a lovely day.

The golf club has really made a huge effort in the battle against Covid. Very professional from the first meet and greet. I don’t play golf but it seems to have become very busy. The outside area has been cleaned and decorated to a high standard, and the same goes for the inside. You are served at your table. Well done, one of the only places I feel like the management have their eye on the ball.

Arranging a dinner for a large group of people can be a frustrating and time-consuming job for the organiser, what with fluctuating numbers of guests and last-minute changes of menu choices. It was reassuring that the staff at The Parc were always so helpful and responsive (this has not always been our experience at some other venues). On the evening itself, the room was well set out, the food was good, the service efficient and friendly, and a good time was had by all. Our grateful thanks to all the staff for their contribution to a successful event.

We had a table for 12 people great friendly welcome when we arrived . Everyone loved their starters and main course , food was delicious and piping hot , Excellant service from Heather and her staff who were on Sat night , we asked for more chips this was not a problem was brought promptly to the table piping hot , the children even went outside so very relaxed and lovely friendly place , thank you for making the end of my birthday celebrations a fab one .

Reasonably level course with a good mixture of parkland, woodland, water hazards, bit of everything, tends to produce a competitive match, highly recommended

Played here with friends and had to take a picture of the beautiful sunrise. Had a good game and a lovely meal and drink afterwards in pleasent surroundings.

This club has a very good restaurant which serves good wholesome food. Great for lunch and in particular Sundays but book to avoid disappointment. For golfers, it is a challenging course and the driving range is excellent.

We were in Newport for the British Transplant Games and needed a venue for the Manchester Children's Transplant Games Team Gala Dinner and we chose the Parc. I can only say how helpful Karen & Jill were in helping us organise our event. The venue was brilliant with both the inside set up and access to the garden area, which for the weekend was extremely welcome due to the hot weather. The food was excellent and I even managed two desserts!!! The Team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Club for helping us have such a fabulous Gala Dinner to celebrate the Team's success in the Games.

I am sorry to say the restaurant has gone down badly , we always raved about the place BUT on this occasion it was not good , the presentation was not good . 3 starters were returned as the prawns were very bad ie tiny shrimps and as for some of the mains they liked as thou they were thrown on the plate . Myself and 2 others had the curry and we have never had pompadoms that would bend they were stale and I was told they had just been cooked and the replacements were the same . As for the staff they were so "do I have to be hear attitude " so unhelpful .. This was so good in the past and as we were the only people in there 16 of us everything should have been %100

Used the venue for a staff away day and the event went smoothly thanks to the staff. They accommodated every need from supplying gluten free food to arranging a projector and screen to be in the room. Room was clean and tidy and had no complaints.

We approached Parc for a short notice catering event, and so glad that we did. Apart from being a lovely venue, the management and staff could not have been more helpful, communicative, and on the ball. The catering, too, was high quality. Overall excellent value for money, and so easy! I generally do not award 5 stars on TA, but In this instance I think it is well deserved.

thought this was a challenge but got that wrong waste of time and money the staff in the shop are ignorant and look at you like your dirt would not recommend this go to tradegar park much bettr

Visited here with a friend for a game of golf and was happy to see a lot of people using the facilities there. The course is in great condition and I had a really good meal afterwards at a good price. Staff were very friendly and the members there very helpful.

We held our son’s baptism here in June and everything was amazing!

Went to the golf club today for a friends christening. We had a fabulous time and the food off the main buffets was excellent.

Went there recently for a Charity Day and had a great time. The golf course is very tight with lots of water. The greens are good and had some interesting slopes. We had a nice bacon roll breakfast and a good lunch. Chicken Curry was very good.

we had booked in for golf and the golf shop said have a coffee first , well cooked english breakfast reasonable price , so happy finished the golf and went back in for lunch really made welcome , food well cooked and served really quick had the fish and chips stunning , locals made us feel welcome , the manager lady was really helpful and took time to look after us despite a large party in the other room, so good food clean and tidy and reasonable prices 10/10

Myself and 17 other guests attended my mother's 90th Birthday Sunday Lunch at the Parc . When I booked they suggested we use the Green Room which we could have to ourselves at no extra cost . This gave the 5 children a bit of freedom to wander around after they had finished eating but we had not . As usual the food was delicious and the service good .

The worst lunch service ever had. Food poor. Portion sizes poor. When requested more we were told that it would be extra. My Sunday lunch constituted of 2 small pieces of Lamb, 2 Small new potatoes, 2 Medium at best roast potatoes,5 pieces of carrots,2 pieces Broccoli, 1 spoonful of mashed Swede, desert wasn’t much better. All child portions. Staff rude. Had to ask for coffee and mints, came with attitude. Not value for money. This took over 2 1/2 hours. My advice go elsewhere

Went there Sunday 5th Nov for birthday lunch. Haven’t been there for a while. Meal was exceptional. I can’t eat a big meal they will do me a child’s potion which his ample for me. Well don’t Parc Golf club.

we both went to a friends wedding at the Parc and what can I say ,,,, the service and the food was very very good we would recommends this to anyone it was perfect

We were a family group of about 20 or so who were gathered together to celebrate my fathers 93rd birthday. We have been to Parc before, my father likes it, so thats where we go. We were here for Sunday lunch.

Pre-ordered as went with a large group. drinks are quite cheap, good choice for a lunchtime. Seating overlooks part of the golf course

17 of us had a wonderful time. Food was fantastic, staff were very attentive and friendly....great atmosphere. Highly recommended and great value for money x

Domingo almuerzo con nuestros dos nietos era excelente. Ambiente encantador, un gran servicio personal encantador, amable y, como siempre, la comida era de primera clase. El chocolate fudge cake era tan exuberante y una increíble pero irresistible por desgracia increíblemente engorde lo contrario podía comer todo el día.

First visit here for family Sunday Lunch - its not the Ritz but service was great seated immediately, order taken quickly.... Good choice of four roasts plus fish, nice selection of veg... reasonable price and staff friendly and helpful .... what more could you want!

Took 12 guests to Sunday lunch - ages ranging from 15 to 80. The varied menu catered ideally for two 15 year old boys and a vegetarian. Service was good although might have been a little slow if there had been less interation going on within the group of us.. Staff were friendly and efficient; food hot and tasty with the beef and lamb "choosers" saying how tender their meat was.Highly recommended for a Sunday lunch that's a little out of the ordinary given the wide menu choice that's far removed from the "meat and two veg" bub lunches often on offer elsewhere

Part of a corporate group meeting at 7.00p.m. for 7.30.The cloakroom was almost full of chairs and smelly. Did manage to hang coats, then on to toilets, no light in either facility and no switch, fixed after a significant delay.The room was set out reasonably but on the cool side. A number of requests to switch on the nearby large radiator were agreed to but that effort was without success.Bread rolls were served and eventually butter straight from the fridge.The group (mass catering) food was served fairly efficiently and there was plenty available and the vegetables were of a very acceptable standard.My Christmas pudding desert,a slab, possibly from a never ending rectangle served with watery custard left me disappointed.Having read the many positive reviews of this restaurant I had high hopes but perhaps the requirement of group catering proved too much on this occasion. Possibly better preparation would have given a more positive first impression.

Been to a couple of evening functions here and as we're looking for a Sunday Lunch venue near to us to visit regularly, we though we'd give Parc a try. We were sat at one side of the big ballroom and felt quite isolated. There were several big groups seated at very large tables in the room. The was no atmosphere in the room. Some background music would have changed this. Service was reasonable, mainly by young teens who were not too proactive. Food was good; prawn cocktail starters and roast meat lunches for mains. Overall, a bit on the pricey side with drinks. Might revisit occasionally, but sorry Parc, you'll not become our regular Sunday Lunch haunt.

we visited the Parc in September, just called in early evening to see if we could have a meal. I am pleased to say the food was excellent....We used to call in here all the timebut havent visited for a while and the food have greatly improved from our last visit.Will be calling in again.

Popped in today for lunch with my husband never been before. The food was absolutely gorgeous I had the surf and turf, hand cut ribeye steak with garlic king prawns, chunky chips, my husband had the mixed grill said it was the best he'd ever eaten. Very friendly staff will definitely go again and recommend 100%.

Called in with my family after visiting Tredegar Park. Very good value for money and tasty food. Friendly staff.

My brother booked a Sunday lunch for about 35 people to celebrate his wife's 80th birthday. It was a big family occasion which included children of all ages. We had a two course lunch and the food arrived piping hot all home cooked. The roasts were delicious, fresh vegetables, huge yorkshire puddings and roast and boiled potatoes. The deserts were equally delicious. The service was great the waiters and waitresses worked extremely hard because they already had a busy lunch time service to deal with as well. Great value for money and very well presented the tables were decorated lovely. Would definately recommend Sunday lunch to anyone. I am sure their evening meals are equally as good.

My wife and I and her two sisters and my brother-in-law visited the Parc for lunch which we hadn't done for quite some time.The restaurant has a quiet calm feel to it and ,once seated, we were offered the lunch menu which included a variety of roasts and some alternatives.The two men had the calamari as a starter which was delicious and the girls had the baked Brie which was lovely. Again, we men stuck together and both had the salmon and prawn taglatelli which was delicious and a nice change from the usual roasts.The others had a variety of roasts which were served with individual dishes of fresh vegetables and gravy.After a variety of deserts we had coffee and mints.The whole experience was very pleasant with good service and tablecloths which made the meal feel special.Overall, the food was delicious and good value for money with a choice of either two or three courses and I would recommend a visit.

We booked a table in the restaurant for 6 and I can honestly say that the meal was the best we have had in a long time. The Staff were great and couldn't do enough for us and would thoroughly recommend the Parc for a night out.We will defiantly be returning sooner rather that later.

We were a party of 6 adults, the service was excellent, the food was lovely and the price was good. Lovely surroundings, the restaurant is a little formal but we had no problem wearing smart casual which is better than many golf clubs. Recommended.

3 course menu, excellent price £16-17 I think. Not a massive fan of lamb but ordered it and it was lovely, no fat and so tasty and accompaniments were aplenty. Could not finish my main. Left room for dessert which was EPIC in taste and size. Value for money is amazing. My husband also said best calamari he has had (for starter). Visited with 6 others for a family birthday and all were extremely happy. Would visit again, and will be soon.

we booked to have our xmas party here and we were very impressed. The set menu was very standard looking when we chose our meals but everything was just that little bit special when it arrived at the table. The prawns to start were excellent and the salmon for the main course was served with asparagus and cooked to perfection. The lemon meringue for dessert was the combination of sweet and sharp. the tables were very well dressed and the service outstanding.

Went here for an engagement party, room was just perfect, there were about 140 guests and the size of the room was just right to create a fun party atmosphere. The staff were excellent and the buffet was delicious with plenty of hot and cold snacks to choose from. Have been here for Sunday lunch and lunch with friends. The food is always good and the staff are always welcoming and friendly.

A big thank you to Karen and her team for helping to make Kate and Tom's engagement celebration a very special occasion .The venue was ideal, the buffet was well presented and the staff warm and welcoming.

Apart from it taking four attempts to get the bill right everything else was average. The service, the food and the prices were OK. This is disappointing as we used to come here alot in the past and it used to be excellent. Could not recommend it, if you are looking for something special.

Excellent choice of meals from their £10 for two courses menu, quickly prepared and served kept my sixteen guests very happy in our side room to the normal dining area. Very friendly and helpful manager supported by his staff made for a great night. Parc itself is easy to find being just outside Newport on the way to Cardiff, huge car park and, as you're in the country, pretty scenery all around.

Very poor food. Tables not laid out as asked. Our party was for 50, only enough food to feed 30 at a push. Would definitely not recommend.

We had our wedding reception at the Parc Golf club after being married at the Mansion House in Newport. On arrival we had cava and canapés that went down a treat. In the evening we had the cheapest option of the buffet that was avaliable and every single person at the wedding commented on the quality and quantity avaliable. Hats off to Anthony who is the chef there. All of the staff made our entire planning process simple and straight forward and the day went without a hitch. Absolutely fantastic service. We have also had many meals before and after that have all been excellent. It is a shame that this little gem isn't a hotel but it is absolutely without doubt a hidden treasure. Would recommend anyone to have a wedding here or just to have some food! EXCELLENT!!!

Mothering Sunday lunch. Eek. Food good. Service struggled. Don't have 2 sittings if the staff and kitchen can't cope to clear tables and serve. It became chaotic and resembled faulty towers!

Truly a poor show. As we arrived the table was not ready so we waited at the bar.After 30 minutes we asked someone what was going on. Everyone seemed clueless to the situation.Finally we sat down on a table that for 10 people and we were a party of 7, there we no napkins or menus.It took a further 20 minutes to get a bread roll and order our dinner. Starters arrive 20 minutes later. No prawns. As a suitable exchange we were offered scampi! Quite amusing! I then said I would like to have pate instead. I got given duck! Haha surely this was a joke!!We then sat with our plates in front of us for 40 minutes. Looking around we noticed other people were experiencing poor service. We then spoke with a member of staff and the response to "we want to go home" was "I don't blame you".Would not recommended. Ruined Mother's Day for my mum. Massively disappointed! Ended in tears! Thanks Parc Golf Club!

I liked every thing about the parc golf club. I celebrated a surprise party for my big birthday. It was all it could have been. Excellent service, the staff very good. At another 50th wedding celebration for my aunt and uncle it was equally as good. The food, staff and venue were excellent.

Had a wedding here the menu that we had agreed and paid for was not received on the day! Paid for a hog roast received cold meats with things missing such as potatoes! No hog roast was present! After the wedding we were basically told it was tuff luck they were unwilling to shoulder any responsibility, even after admitting they did not have the facilities to deliever a hog roast and that was just the title of the menu! Completely misled absolutely disgusted that we spent so much on what turned out to be a cold meat and salad buffet!

Went there for evening meal well sign posted to go there.Ordered sirloin steak chips and trimmings for me. Wife ordered home made chicken curry and rice.The big room had a party with a buffet, they were seeing to them.But our meal was not long from ordering.The meal was very good and the service was good and friendly,overall good and go again.

I found this place to offer good value for the money Certainly better steak than at the larger chains although not your 4 or 5 star service or quality You won't get better value than their 2 course menu Friendly enough staff and always quiete enough to get a table

we attended a wedding and found it to be very friendly, the food is very nice. Great minestrone soup. Chargrilled chicken was just a little overcooked but came with lovely veg and sauce. the ambience is very nice. Rather a nice day and evening out. Helped of course by it being a fun wedding.

Went for food with friends, had leek and potato soup to start was served boiling hot with a warm bread roll.mixed grill, steak, Salmon and my vegetarian meal was cooked beautifully. They have quality chefs in this golf club along with excellent staff. Special offers on 2 course meal for £10 .Well worth the money could not get any better in a 5 star hotel.

We first came across the Parc when we were invited to a birthday party After chatting to others at the party we were told the Sunday lunch was very good so we tried it and yes it was up to the standard we had been toldWe read that they were having a Valentines Night Dinner we took 2 friends with us we all had a great night food excellent We then took the extended family for a pre Christmas lunch they liked it so much the following year their big family meal was held there once again we took 10 to celebrate my husbands 60 this was great and it was a black tie Casino night really great fun This year a valentines night Mother's Day lunch with other friends and a few Sunday lunches And in all this time we have never had a complaint neither have anyone with us 16 of us are all going in December for the black tie Casino Night again and looking forward to it Before that we are off for Sunday lunch next week with family The Manager is excellent and sees what's going on without being over the top all a great team

I usually expect a buffet to be full of cheap pre packed food but the buffet that was prepared at my brothers wedding reception was INCREDIBLE! there was a good variety of food and it all tasted fantastic. Without doubt the best buffet ive ever had. Friendly staff too. P.s whoever is in charge of the fried chicken deserves a knighthood.

We found this place on recommendation from staff in the nearby Greenmore Garden Centre. We would never have found it otherwise. It's down a single track lane, where you wouldn't believe any business could thrive, and it's open to the general public, not just golf club members. We were very pleasantly surprised to be greeted by friendly staff at a busy lunchtime. Your usual pub fare, we thought as we read the menu. Also an interesting specials board. The fish and chips that went to the next table (which we had thought pricey at £9) was HUGE! Salmon and prawn salad, fajitas, burgers and full English all looked delicious. I had chicken curry, arf and arf and a poppadom and mango chutney, and my friend had poached salmon with new potatoes and veg. Both very good, and good value. We followed with delicious blueberry creme brûlée, which was spoilt by the side serving of defrosted, icy cold and very sour forest fruits. The service was a tad slow, but well worth the wait. This place is off the beaten track, but worth seeking out.

My wife and I visited the Restaurant to celebrate Valentines Night and we had an excellent evening.On arrival, we were offered a glass of sparkling wine and were able to enjoy this before being shown to our table. A four course meal was included in the price and the menu offered a varied selection of choices.My wife had the chicken dish for her main course and I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and accompanied with a Southern Comfort sauce and lovely vegetables. The desert selection was also incredible.Altogether, the night offered excellent value and the food was e real credit to the chefs .

Visit here for a few days golf and some food while in the local area. The course and the driving range are great., the course in particular reasonably challenging with some great holes. The food is also very good value- excellent 'pub' fayre and just what you need after 18 holes.

After hearing good reports about Sunday lunch at the Parc Golf club we thought we would try it out. The atmosphere not as good as a restaurant as it is actually a function room, so you are seated on tables on the dance floor or on the carpet around the edge. The room is light and airy and the tables sufficiently spaced out. Seemed to be popular with families with some large groups and also many diners of the elderly generation......Anyway food overall good value at £11.95 for 2 courses. Soup very nice but pate average served with only 2 small triangles of toast. Lamb very very nice and plentiful. Beef nice and also plenty of it. Meat came plated with gravy and roast potato and yorkshire pud with beef. Pleased to say vegetables arrived in turines and additional gravy served without asking. All very nice.

I would firstly like to thank Parc golf club for opening on a Monday night especially for our party of 12, celebrating my Grandmothers 80th birthday! The atmosphere was all down to my wonderful family of course but the dining area was comfortable and relaxing. The service was great and as well as offering all the usual menu, the chef added another 4 specials too. 5 of the party had steaks, 3 mixed grills, 2 had chicken, 1 had lamb shank and I devoured the special king prawn korma! Other family members are regulars here but it was my 1st visit (other than getting married here!) and I was delighted with the food. Daughter wasn't fussed on the hunters chicken (too sweet) and husband found his mixed grill a tad on the fatty side! Fussy eaters aside, the majority enjoyed both starters and mains but we all had no room left to sample any puddings! All in all, what looks like a pub grub menu is certainly much more and we will return.

My wife and I recently visited the Parc Restaurant with a group of friends for a special meal organised by one of our party. The choice of all courses was excellent and the fillet of beef which I ordered was exceptional. The standard of cuisine was of the highest standard and the wines on offer were both enjoyable and reasonably priced.We have held many functions there including my daughter's wedding, two of my special birthdays and our Golden Wedding Party and we have never been dissapointed.I would recommend this venue for any event and for casual dining as the lunchtime menus are very good value for money.
