Photographed a wedding here recently. Lovely venue for wedding breakfast and disco. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good. Lots of places outside for photo opportunities.

You will find Malpas Court opposite Malpas Court Primary School. It was originally a country house. The cafeteria forms a small part of the building but is worth a visit. You will receive a very warm welcome on your arrival and staff remain caring and attentive throughout your stay. There is a very good range of food available at very modest prices. Meals are traditional fayre such as ham, egg and chips and curry, so do not expect anything 'flashy'! The food is wholesome and well prepared. Service can be a little slow at times, especially when it is busy, but the wait is worth it. Give Malpas Court a try. You won't be disappointed. .

From Sunday Lunch to Weddings this place has it all. The staff are really lovely and make a real effort to make you feel wonderful. The food is all home cooked and tastes lovely. They are thinking of opening in the evenings so will be a lovely place to pop along to. Would recommend this to everyone. Keep up the good work.

Anyone looking for a wonderful wedding venue, look no further. This is absolutely perfect. Teresa and staff made my daughter's day. Every parent wants their daughter's wedding day (24th June 17) to be perfect but Teresa made sure this was not only perfect but exquisite. Thank you all for the most wonderful memories.

Can't give a full review as we never got into the restaurant. We have been here before at A Family wedding so we had no hesitation about returning here today for a lunch. Before we arrived we contacted the restaurant to confirm the lunch times and after receiving confirmation we arrived at 14.15 only to be told it was closed, yet only 30 minutes before we were advised that as long as we were seated by 14.30 there wouldn't be a problem. One member of staff did mention that as it was a Friday they like to get away as soon as possible, don't let us keep you - in fact I can assure you we won't!!!!!

Well, well, well! (three holes in the ground)...What a lovely discovery! Popped in for lunch with a friend last week and couldn't believe how reasonable the lunches were. I plumped for the chicken curry ('alf 'n' 'alf) and my friend plumped for the braised steak. Both were VERY good. Quality and portion size VERY good, too.Prices? So reasonable at £3.50 per meal. It's great to see this once-vandalised and fire-damaged old folly transformed into a well-respected community enterprise, catering for all in such a positive manner. We were asked several times by different staff members if everything was alright. YES..it was.... and all credit to all who have made this venture possible. You have succeeded. Lots of attention to detail and a 'can do' attitude was so refreshing at a time when so many of the big formulaic restaurant chains have no idea of this concept! Looking forward to a return visit very soon. You deserve continued success. Don't change a thing!

Three course lunch for £8.99. Choice of two starters, choice of three types of meat for main and choice of two puds. Excellent value for money - better than pub lunches you get. Staff are great and really friendly. Bit of a hidden gem. Community run.

Shamefully, despite living only ten minutes up the road, I didn’t even know this place existed until a week ago, let alone served Sunday lunch. We found it via a CHildrens party and the dining room smelt amazing so we picked up a menu from the foyer and booked in for the following week. We had the three course Sunday lunch which is stunning value for money at £9.99 a head for start, main and desert. The range of starters include soup (and roll), lemon sole, mackerel and a couple of other options. Main course includes Turkey roast dinner, Pork, beef and is served with road potatoes, stuffing, a selection of veg and ample gravy. Desert on offer included Chocolate cake, spotted dick, apple crumble or ice-cream.We visited as a party of six, so between us sampled most of the menu on offer. I can’t hesitate to say that everyone came away delighted with the quality and quantity of food. The veg was plentiful, the serving of meat was ample for everyone at the table and nobody in our party could fault any aspect of the meal. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. They were brilliant with the children and infants in our party and service was swift and always with a smile. We were made to feel extremely welcome from the minute we left until the minute we arrived and I’m puzzled how I haven’t heard more about the Malpas Court Manor House before now. Definitely one of the very best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a long time and we’ll be going back very soon indeed.Oh and they do an incredibly good value afternoon tea too which we have on our list of to-do’s very soon. Fantastic.

I was a little reticent to have a Sunday lunch at what I thought was going to be little more than a Café. How wrong I was. The service was superb, the food was outstanding as were the portion sizes. This venue is now going to be our main choice and I can't recommend it enough. Three drinks, Wine, Lemonade and water, Three soups, Three mains 2 x Turkey 1 x Pork and 3 x Sweets all for £28.00not just value for money but excellent food.

Came in with my family for afternoon tea on my sisters recommendation. Reserved a table which was laid out for us and order the afternoon tea. It was affordable but unfortunately not to my taste personally but the others enjoyed , although my sister said it was totally different to the one she had eaten a fortnight before. Staff were more than happy to box up the left overs to take home, and it's a lovely building.
