Food is absolutely banging! There isn’t a pub or restaurant that comes near the standard of this place, it’s a gem ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😀

Tried the Greek week menu, perfectly cooked calamari and a beautiful piece of Hake in tomatoe, black olive and caper sauce, divine.

I had my wedding reception here. The staff were amazing, they set up the tables perfectly. The food was cooked on site and it was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were very accommodating.

Well where do I start? I pulled up Outside “The Fork and Tune”, my first impression was this is an old Victorian pub in what looks like an old mining village but as I would soon find out it is so much more! I was welcomed by the Lovely Anja, who promptly showed us to our rooms (rooms being a understatement). Our rooms turned out to be what can only be described as a little apartment that would put most major city boutique hotels to shame. The decor was incredible with an eye for detail that is just staggering. The shower rooms are class and tasteful while being completely practical. We had a small kitchen area that had everything you could need for a stay with every utensil available. Now onto the Bed ….. only issue with the bed I can strain to think of, is its just to hard to want to get out of in the morning! No expense has been spared on that mattress. The whole venue is remarkable, from the friendly, welcoming owners, staff & clientele to the incredible venue its self. The outside area gives you views of the Welsh mountains and the bar has a quirky appearance that just keeps giving. If I had to describe The Fork & Tune in one sentence I would say “ Its like someone has picked up the legendary bars of Camden in the 90s (bars that inspired artist like Amy Winehouse, Blur and the legendary dance scene) and dropped one right in the middle of the Welsh countryside. I highly recommend this magical place. If you not only want somewhere to lay your head but also an experience that could just be the surprising highlight of your trip, then check this place out!

We have had a few breakfasts from this establishment and each time we have not been disappointed. Hot and delicious and freshly cooked. Staff are friendly and facilities are clean. Selection of take away cakes are good also. Well recommended for meeting up with friends for a chat and coffee.

Was looking forward to trying this new cafe as I’ve heard many great things however my experience did not meet expectations. Servers took 10 minutes to acknowledge we’d come in (was 3 other small tables in). Managed to order after about 20 minutes. Drinks came quickly to be fair which were fine but food took over an hour to come. Everyone seemed to be waiting a while and many got up to ask where their food was. It was not busy at all. The cook in the kitchen rang the bell many times and the woman at the desk actually shook her head because she was doing something else and the chef had to bring it out himself. My friend ordered a jacket potato with chicken& mayo which should not take longer than 15 mins to do as it’s mostly pre-made fillings. I had a breakfast which I removed things from but still very simple items (sausages, beans, hash brown etc) and the nicest part was the Luke warm piece of toast I had. Really disappointed about this experience and has put me off wanting to visit again.

The Sunday Lunch was brilliant, one of the best I’ve had. Portions were big, service was really prompt. Hallie our waitress was excellent and very attentive. Would definitely recommend and go again

I don't know if they have a new chef or if they were on holiday but this was so different to the delicious food we've had before that I couldn't believe the difference. It was all frozen: chips, onion rings, burger. Family couldn't even eat it, terrible. Used to proper cooked meals there like home cooked fresh, felt burger used to be made there not like the flat plastic thing I was given tonight. Didn't mind paying prices for what it was but not for this meal. Not going back.

Came here at 5pm on the off chance for a table for 2 (with a toddler) on a Thursday evening as had recommended by my parents. We stood there while the barman had his back to us for about 5 minutes on the phone. We received no greeting or hello from the young barman, we asked if they were serving food. Was told no, fully booked even though the place was empty other than a few regulars drinking in the bar area. Very unfriendly service and would not return

Fabulous service! Chef was about to finish for the night but squeezed us in and even accommodated one vegetarian - couldn’t ask for more. Food was hot and delicious. Lovely staff who were really friendly. Was a customer for years with the previous management and will definitely be back!

Cleanliness isn't one of the positives, sticky floors and an odour of urine in the air. Furniture appears very worn and rough. The staff were not very enthusiastic, borderline rude. I would not recommend this place.

First time visit for Sunday lunch. Really poor choice and NO starter which I thought was a bit strange as I personally would rather have a starter than desert. I opted for beef, there was only 3 choices and one of those were vegetarian. The food was lovely and nice to have mashed potato on a dinner for a change. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Surroundings were lovely.
