The Rock in Caerphilly

I have to say I went there for breakfast and the staff were lovely even kind enough to let me sister rest for a bit after a tooth extraction. Very kind people

This cafe is run on a charitable basis and is very good. The breakfast was very generous and well cooked. It is extremely clean.

My wife and I just wanted a small bite to eat on a sunny afternoon. We popped into Bedwas as we we’re passing and The Rock was the first cafe we came across. Although clearly a Christian establishment the religious side was not pushed upon you at all, and the food, warm welcoming atmosphere and fantastic service spoke out for itself. Very lovely, delicious and very reasonable too.

I had food once and it was lovely but I visit on regular basis to the shop part as I am a christian so always so much for me to choose from lovely friendly people too

Excellent food. Really enjoyed our visit. Good breakfasts at a good price. On the very frequent A bus route.

I use this cafe on a regular basis. Great for an afternoon snack. Staff are volunteers from the church but are always very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble

If you're looking for a religious gift (e.g. for a baptism or confirmation) this shop is perfect. I also get traditional advent calendars and Christmas cards here. Excellent selection and reasonably priced. Staff always delightful.

Was here one evening with wife and friend. We all ordered different things. By looks of it all looked nice. But it was not special. Service and price was good.

Little gem just outside of Caerphilly run totally by volunteers - great place only downside is they don't open all day Saturday or Sunday's otherwise I'd visit a lot more often :)

Had lunch in the Rock with some friends today. We all chose the beans on toast which were really tasty and very satisfying. The Rock is such a special place with very friendly staff who make you feel most welcome. It really is like a home from home. Will definitely go again

Uncertain when this little place might be open, but it is worth a try if in the area. It is staffed by what seem to be volunteeers and some of the dishes seem to be produced by the same volunteers. None the less, the quality is very good. If it is not, then the staff have a tendency to discourage you from purchasing that item. Welsh cakes a speciality.

Went here this morning myself and my wife both had fried egg with beans and toast . The toast and eggs were nice but the beans were like missiles . They belong in a loaded gun they were so hard . Sorry but it was true .

Been here a few times food sometimes nice sometimes not . But the old ladies working there are very slow . I understand that they are ageing but 20 mins I was sat there while they were having a chat .

We travel to Bedwas every year for holidays and always visit 'The Rock'. The service and the home made food are the best bit. The service is personal and friendly.... And all food is cooked / made fresh by the staff. There's a lovely book/gift shop that's part of the same place and this is lovely too.

A fantastic place to meet with friends for tasty homemade food. An incredibly warm and friendly welcome and lovely surroundings. Best place for coffee or lunch in Caerphilly

Always get a warm welcome, delicious food in the cafe and lots to choose from in the shop. Love going there
