Fantastic service from Pili at Slug and Lettuce the Friary, very attentive and very friendly, would definitely recommend.

Very nice food and friendly staff jade would definitely come back soon in the next couple of months or sooner nice and clean

Another lovely Friday lunch the gammon was perfect and the Katsu chicken topped chips were delicious. A huge thanks to the team and especially to Sian who always gives that extra touch, ensuring that your dining experience is perfect.

Once again a fantastic stay at Pencoed visiting family . As always lovely food in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast during our stay. Shout out to Sian and Chris who always go the extra mile. See you all on our next visit .❤️

This was an awful experience. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone ! We walked into the pub to a fausty smell and as sitting we noticed it was unhygienic and grubby. We ordered food that came quickly, it looked nice but had an odd bland taste and was very dry. The cutlery had not been cleaned properly and were covered in food from previous customers !!! Our drinks were served in filthy glasses that I had to ask to be changed. There was a member of staff serving behind the bar, that in my opinion, I would say they need to be retrained on manners, customer values, their appearances and appropriate work attire. I believe this place needs a re-inspection on health and hygiene safety standards. TOTALLY DISGUSTING !!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!

Me and my friend with a gluten intolerance both came for food, the service from iestyn, Steve, Callum and Ethan was impeccable honestly couldn’t have asked for more dealt with the allergy amazing and the food was delicious!

First visit today, will definitely go again. Amazing Sunday roast served very quickly and by really friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

I wanted a cuppa and food but was immediately told by serving staff it would be a half hour wait, there weren't many tables free but the young man who greeted me directed me to the small tables by the pool table and was happy to take my tea order, I didn't order food as I got the sense that they may just be doing roasts and with the immediate warning I felt I'd go elsewhere.. he was great- friendly welcoming and helpful.. there was a nice atmosphere .. it was Sunday lunchtime and busy

The homemade bread was lovely, and I had the lamb rump while my husband ordered the steak. It was pricey but quite good overall. Personally, I enjoyed the lamb because it was perfectly tender, just the way I like it.

Have been to this restaurant quite a few times and have to say the food and service is exceptional! Special mention to Becky who honestly is absolutely amazing ! Nothing is too much trouble and she goes out of her way to ensure that everything is perfect. Will definitely be going back....Well done Becky and thank you for your help to always making us feel special ❤️

Food and ambience was fantastic. We went for a walk up to the falls and returned to the Angel. This is a great way to spend a long afternoon.
